I have a multitude of ring buffers and polygons for which I need to figure out what polygon intersects with what buffer. The task should be easy, but I am stuck here.All data come from the same feature dataset in a file geodatabase (so the spatial reference system is by default the same), however, to be absolutely sure I projected all data before they get into the SpatialFilter to the same EPSG.The settings for the SpatialFilter can be seen hereand to show that there are certainly intersecting areas and buffers that contain candidates I add the graphics view of the ‘Passed’ port and from the ‘Reprojected’ port of the Tester and the Reprojector.The candidates are in red…I did try an AreaOnAreaOverlayer, and that one finds overlaps but the request of merging the attribute data is unsuccessful. Meaning all the attributes are in the attribute table, but values from the buffers are not merged to the intersecting polygons, or the other way around. The list I create to check for what buffers

I have added an FME Web connector towards Autodesk Construction cloud and have managed to access folders from my project. The list request seems to work in the AutoDeskDocsConnector-transformer, but fails when I want to download a file from the folder. I get the following error when translating: I use an ordinary Creator to connect to the AutoDeskDocsConnector. Does anyone have any tips what I’m doing wrong?

This is probably a simple question, but I'm having difficulty rounding values within the xml editor of the XMLTemplator.With the root template set to:<feature>    <number>{fme:get-attribute("NUMBER")}</number></feature>The NUMBER value is written in the output. But when I use:<feature>    <number>@round({fme:get-attribute("NUMBER")},3)</number></feature>or even:<feature>    <number>@Evaluate(@round({fme:get-attribute("NUMBER")},3))</number></feature>the xml returned contains an empty string:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><feature>    <number/></feature>I could round with an AttributeRounder prior to the XMLTemplater, but although that rounds the values in Visual Preview, the xml output can and does contain the floating point representation errors.I'm guessing this might be a syntax thing but I've had no joy yet implementing this in the editor.(FME 2020.1 b20620)

Hi All,I am attempting to walk an FME script (using desktop 32 bit) over a large folder of specialised access databases called gINT files (.gpj) and move the data to various CSVs. However it will terminate after several hours with "MDB_ADO reader: An unknown exception occurred", and only write several of the CSVs for the files it has read. It works for smaller sample sets, so I don't believe it is a flaw in the script.I have a copy of the log, unfortunately it is a bit large to attach. Any help appreciated.Thanks-Jack Collins

Hello Everyone, I wonder if folks might be able to help with troubleshooting ideas for a Scripted Selection that I am trying to put together. I am trying to dynamically read a SharePoint List using a web connection. When the sharepoint is read users get to choose from the list of records. I can get his working in Form but when published to Flow I do not get a dropdown[v] or list selector [...]. Am I missing a trigger or something? Thanks a bunch for reading.

I have a workbench that creates output for bentley Microstation. While trying to debug an issue of cells not appearing in the output, I found the VertexCreator deleting an attribute igds_type (microstation format attribute) in the processed features. Pictured is a basic configuration for reproducing the conditions.The version used is 2022.2. I have a simple workaround, but it did take a while to figure out what was going on.I wouldn’t have expected this transformer to touch the attributes at all. Is there a reason for this and does it affect any other attributes? 

I'm looking for support with Navisworks (AutoDesk) BIM data (.nwd .nwf .nwc). I need to extract the full 6D information from the model and output it to other formats but also update the 6D information back to the model. Navisworks imports IFC but does not seem to export it. DWF, which can be written with Navisworks, does not hold the 6D information.Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having trouble writing sharepoint users to a sharepoint list. It does not seem to matter how I'm formatting the user string attribute - it just wont accept it. The writer is configured as uploaded workspace. The sharepoint list adds a new, empty row.   HOW do I configure the writer, and what is supposed to be the correct attribute value? To my understanding, the attribute value is to be formatted asi:0#.f|membership|name.name@domain.se

Hello, I am looking to use attribute value mapper ( or another transformer etc) to  map from multiple input attributes (VEG_SBOIS)  and (CLASSE) to a single output attribute (SURF_COVER) see below screenshots for example I have tried using a tester with  left value filled in and operator  “attribute has a value” but it doesnt work perfectly since im only looking to map certain input values (not all ) to different output values.  any help is appreciated,thanks,Curtis

We make use of parallel processing within FME Flow 2023.1. However we are struggling to de-bug issues that intermittently occur in the worker processes. I can see that, whilst running, each worker process has a log file, stored under the parent job log. However, this is deleted when the worker process closes, even if it fails. This makes it very difficult retrospectively diagnose any issues.In our FME Server 2021 instance, the worker logs are surfaced in the main job log once complete, which is fine, but I can’t identify any setting to control and replicate this behaviour.Does any one know of a config change that I can make, in FME Flow 2023, to retain these worker logs somehow?

Hello Safers,I am planning a FME Flow deployment, and have a question regarding the distributed tier 2 format. I wanted to ask for clarity: In the tier 2 distributed format, is installing both the FME Database and the FME System Share alright on the same machine? Or, is it required that these components are installed on different machines? I would like to install the FME Database on a machine designed for this purpose for our DBA to manage, but didn’t know if I also required another machine for the FME System Share. If that is the case, could I also install the FME System Share on a different drive on the machine FME Flow is installed? I realize this does not mitigate machine-failure, but would mitigate if drive failure occurred, Apologies for the basic question! This my first FME Flow deployment plan.I meant FME Flow System Share…typo in the title!Thanks!

I am creating an AGOL to KML converter. I want all labels to be off when viewing in google earth, but I can not find how to disable point feature labels. These points are represented by icons. I have set the opacity to 0 using the KMLStyler and the setting for “Create Labels on Lines” is set to No (which successfully disables line labels), but the labels for point features still appear. There also appears to be no option to remove labels in the KMLPropertySetter.

Hi all - fairly new to FME here.I am trying to do a calculation using the ExpressionEvaluator to calculate tree protection zone (TPZ) estimate, and round to 2 decimal places. The formula I’m using is @round(@Value(average_dbh_value) * 0.12, 2) I also need to incorporate min and max values into the output. Min is 2 and Max is 15. This is where I’m getting stuck. Would someone be able to provide a suggestion on how I can possibly achieve this? ThanksLeanne

Hello,The documentation and this community thread indicate that “Default Azure Credential” should be an option under Authentication → Credential Source for the AzureBlobStorageConnector transformer. I don’t see this option, either in FME Form 2023.2 or 2024.2.3.Am I missing something, or is this a bug?Thanks,Graeme

I’ve installed a newer version of FME (2024.1.0.0) previously used it to convert MicroStation DGNs to a SDF file worked a treat (to be consumed by a MapGuide service), however this new version requires FDO be installed at C:\Program Files\FME\plugins\fdo ?I don’t have administrative rights on this PC and was wondering if there’s a way to override the directory FDO .dll would be searched for or if not simply dumping the latest FDO release in that directory is ok and would work? sorry the error is a little light on the details… I’ve tried the 32bit and 64bit FDO releases and added them to my PATH environment variable, but this doesn’t seem to work.Error: Failed to find FDO libraries in either of the default paths 'C:\Program Files\FME\plugins\fdo'. I have provided a consultant with the URL to one of my geocoder services. In order for them to access it, I need to issue a token. The token is issued in the Portal, which means it is valid for a maximum of two weeks. Currently, I have to issue a token every two weeks, a manual process. I would like FME to issue a token and then email it to the recipient. I know how to do the email part, but is it possible for FME to contact the Portal and issue a token?My ultimate goal would be to add this workbench to an Automation and have the token automatically issued every two weeks.

I have a first shapefile with points indicating the number of inhabitants. I have a second shapefile with surfaces. I would like to know the number of inhabitants for each surface in FME. What is the process?

Does anyone know how to add information about the features written to the Action Succeeded output port of the Run a Workspace-action?This is what I tried and where I got stuck:In my automations I like to send an email with information about the execution of the automation.In the email I added information like time started, time finished and a link to the job summary. I wanted to add information about the number of features written. The "Merge" action did not allow me to do this.Of course I could just use the new Summary output-port instead of the Action Succeeded, because I think I can sort of assume that the action succeeded when features were written

Hi there,I’m using the ChangeDetector to update some point data in a ESRI enterprise geodatabase (SDE).  I’ve set up the CHangeDetector to check geometry as well as attributes.  I have 3 points out of 1224 that seems to being updated due to a geometry difference.  I think it’s just that typical geometry change you get between FME and SDE so I have set the vector tolerance to 0.001 which is very generous. I’ve try all the various settings 2D, Lenient Geometry even changing the tolerance to 0.01 but these still come up as being updated.  Below are my setting for the ChangeDetector:I’ve specified a change list and it used to be that you could see the original coordinates and the revised coordinates so you could tell if it was a real change or just a artifact but I can’t for the life of me see where to find these coordinates anymore. It just gives me nothing in the change list:Can anyone tell me where I can see these coordinates?  Or why these three points are behaving this way and what to
