I have two polygon shapefiles that I need to spatially join. I'm trying to populate township/range/section in my dataset based on a TRS shapefile. I have it working in ModelBuilder through ArcGIS but I can't get it to correlate the same in FME Desktop.

Hi, I have a generic reader in my workspace which allows me to read in all types of file formats. However, I believe that in order to set the parameters for the different types of file formats, I need to add to my workspace, a reader for the particular file format I want to set the parameters for. I have done this, but I want to now remove the reader from the canvas but keep it in the Navigator window. I managed to do this once awhile ago, but now I have no idea how I did this. Any ideas?

Our Gallery Apps on FME Server don't show a custom image as icon, but leave the space blank instead. In previous versions of FME Server this was not the case. Our installation is FME Server 2020.2, build 20787, win64.Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

FME 2020: The “GeometryFilter” tool fails to detect objects of “circle” type in AutoCAD, I couldn’t figure out how to filter objects of “circle” type in AutoCAD. The “GeometryFilter” tool fails to catch them. Then how to filter the CAD circles? The data is attached         

To put this into context I have a google sheet which has hyperlinks to photos. It shows the shared link but not the filename. I need to be able to extract the filename (and ideally the directory path from Google drive) so I can relink the photo to the new location. Hope this makes sense

I have set up a sensor to send UDP messages to FME Cloud via a GSM modem and it works great as a trigger, but the message that arrives is nonsense.  I believe everything is sent as bytes through the serial port so I have no idea whether its possible to format it before sending or the problem is how FME Cloud is receiving the data. 

I have a shapefile, it is all lines with only two points in each line. Ultimately I'd like to expose the X and Y, start and end, of each line. CoordinateExtractor seems to be able to expose the X and Y of all the points but is there a way to filter that list, like Start X, Start Y; End X, End Y?

I have a very basic workbench, which reads data from FFS files and should write around 15000 lines in the ESRI ArcSDE Table (SQL Server 2014). Unfortunately, when the workbench is ready to write the data in the table, I receive "Error running translation" with two BADNEWS issues in log which appear only in Debug mode:....ArcSDE release: '10.0'. The default and non-overwritable company proxy setting on our FME server machines has not been working consistently against external data services in our 2019.2.1 FME server. I was glad it started to work consistently 4 weeks ago with our FME server 2020.1.3 upgrade in which we explicitly set the Proxy to a proxy IP address/Port inside the FME server. However, it stopped working since a week ago. The FME server error message shows the server is using the default company proxy setting again. Should the FME server proxy setting overwrite the server machine's proxy setting?

I'm trying to create a validation routine that tells me what points are not in their expected polygon. I have two tables with an areaid common to both- one has point geometry (building b) and the other has polygons (area a). something along the lines of the following badly phrased pseudocode!select * from building where building point does not exist in area and a.areaid = b.areaidAll help appreciated!  Good Evening, there is an issue I cant solve by myself, maybe someone can help me. I have a dataset of features ,which i want to analyse and one rule is, they need have 3D coordinates and cant be 2D if they dont they should be filtered out. How can I approach this? THX to all.  

Hi,I have a problem with adding a reader for a geopackage that contains a TIN. Adding the reader fails with the message: "No geometry mapping entry found for 'wkb_point' in metafile 'C:\\Program Files\\FME\\2020.1.0.1\\metafile\\OGCGEOPACKAGE.fmf'" Data is somewhat strange, since the layer identifiers are long (way over 30 positions) and contain spaces and minus signs. In QGIS, the data is displayed correctly though... Any idea what might be causing this error? The data is proprietary, so I can not share. I'm using FME 2020.1.0.1.

Hello, I'm trying to extract data from Oracle database with several thousand tables to CSV files.Because of the number of tables, extracting each table to CSV file is not an option. Is there an automated way to read the list of tables from Oracle DB (non-spacial) and extract each table to CSV files? I haven't been able to find any articles or forum questions to do that. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have built an app with a geometry published parameter as input for the user. In my workspace I have the 'Optional' box unchecked, meaning it is a mandatory (not optional) parameter. However, when it is left blank and the app is submitted, I don't get a prompt telling me that it is needed. The job is submitted to server but fails right away, because it doesn't have a location. Other mandatory published parameters give a prompt to the user if they are left blank when the user tries to submit them. Is this a bug that the job is allowed to be submitted when a mandatory geometry parameter is left blank?

I have an attribute in a .gdb containing dates in the format (yyyy) in a geodatabase in short integer which I need to change to an actual date attribute in the format (dd-mm-yyyy) with the date being january 1st for all. Is this possible? /Rasmus

I have a survey123 application. i am trying to connect the feature class connected with this application in ArcGIS Online to my local database. For this i am using FME Workbench. I have previously conencted Arcgis online feature class using fme desktop and it worked fine. This time however i am getting the following error. ArcGIS Online Feature Service Reader: Could not find a Feature Service item matching the Feature Service directive I am using FME 2020.1When i added the AGOL reader and chose this feature class i am getting column names in reader which means it is able to connect to feature class, when i press the see source data on reader I can see the data as well. It gives me error when i run the FME even if i don't have any transformer and just inspector.

I'm attempting to confirm that a set of GeoJSON area features are geometrically identical to a Shapefile produced from the same source. Of the 19k features, less than 400 come out as Unchanged, with the rest going to Inserted AND Deleted. I've set match Geometry to 2D and turned ON Lenient Geometry Matching. When I write the same GeoJSON out to Shapefile, the resulting Shapefile gets all of its features routed to Unchanged under the same settings.  Any ideas as to why I'm seeing this behavior?
