I had a fatal that gives me the following...2020-10-21 16:26:33|1678.6| 0.0|ERROR |An error occurred while attempting to add a shape to a feature buffer. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147220936'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {No spatial reference exists.}2020-10-21 16:26:33|1678.6| 0.0|STATS |Storing feature(s) to FME feature store file `X:\\__FME_Workbenches\\COGO_SCAN\\path2fgdb_wksp2_log.ffs'Saying no spatial reference exists. following the error feature list is a section that tells me to "Rerun translation specifying transaction #88 for the keyword 'TRANSACTION'" I assume this would be using a commend line but know nothing of particular parameters and steps to accomplish this.any idea what i need to do?

My FME Workbench has a python startup and shutdown script (Esri ArcGIS 3.6 python interpreter) that works fine when running in the software or in command line with arguments.  When I put the workbench on a windows task scheduler, the workbench does not run and I get a 0x1 error in task scheduler. If I remove the python startup/shutdown the job runs fine on scheduled task.  Any ideas on how to resolve this? Hello, I would like to total the number of times each record appears in the dataset. Here is an example of what I would like to count:I've tried using the FieldCalculator but I just keep getting 0's for the sum function. There is a single bug I am not able to solve since well over two days. This bug arises when working with Point clouds and Raster overlays. Below is Picture 1 showing a point cloud of the buildings of an area. Picture 2 is the same area of focus after setting a PointCloudOnRasterComponentSetter. The Transformer resets all of the z points and replaces them with the value on the Raster file. When I disallow overwrite, the z values are not altered at all.   1. Building Point cloud2. Point cloud with raster overlayI was wondering if there was a method for the Point cloud to add the raster cell values to the z component instead of rewriting them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   

HiI'm wondering if anyone can give some advice on the following;If i have 2 simple tables;One table with 2 records, captured as polygons against the same feature (a building outline); Each record has a unique referenceAnother table, also with 2 records, but each captured as a point to represent an address; As with the polygon table, each record has a unique reference.What i would like to do is allocate the unique reference from each point record to each of the polygon recordsIt doesn't matter which point reference gets allocated to which polygon record, I only need to be able to allocate.I should add that the points lie within the polygonsIs this possible in FME? I'm thinking the SpatialRelator may work, but how would FME allocate one reference to another table and then perform the next allocationthanksSimon Hume  

I have a collection of points and for each point a heading is recorded. What I want to do is create lines for a specified distance (say 20 meters) in the direction of the heading recorded for each point. The start point will be the X/Y of the point.Does anyone have any ideas on how to get started with this?

We use a development gmail account to send automatic emails through the emailer. We have a number of processes that will run, then send a notification to a user via gmail.  Our development gmail account normally just sends emails, so we don't check it very often. I checked it today and saw this message:  Can someone from FME confirm that we can still use FME to access our gmail account and send emails after the 8th of July? Are there extra security settings that we need to enable on our gmail account to continue sending emails through the emailer? Has anyone else received this email? We have received this email from Google on another dev gmail account, so it is not unique to just the one account.  Thanks :)

Hello,I have a web application that provides JSON results on a webpage. However, this results is created using javascript and web workers (mostly for efficiency purpose). Therefore, the javascript process takes some time to complete, and update the DOM content of the page.As I result, the HTTPCaller transformer provides the page content before the update (and the JSON result being integrated). I own the web service as well, do you think of a way (both in FME or on the web service side) to gather the JSON result in FME ? Thanks !

I have a point cloud that needs to be transformed from one projection to another, using specific 7 parameters. I've tried Reprojector and EsriReprojector but none of them allowed the usage of specific parameters. I'm new to FME so sorry in advance, thanks

Is it possible to get all the items in all repositories with a single URL using the FME Server REST API? I understand how to get a list of repositories or the items in a single repository but not all items at once. The only option I can think of is to get the repositories and then loop through them one at a time to get the items. Hoping I'm missing a simpler solution.  Aaron

Hi I have a problem with overwriting the existing gdb file.. Scenario: There is a new data that I need to insert/update into the gdb file without having to create a new gdb file... I have tried by using shp as reader and gdb as writer (It works) but when I uses gdb as reader and the same gdb as writer (Because I need the updated/new data to be in the same gdb file -FAILED).... I tried to look into the error but there is no clear explanation in the translation log.... Can anyone help me out on this? 

Hi,I am trying to figure out why a translation that works fine on desktop is not working properly in FME Cloud.I know that writing DWG groups is not possible directly from within FME and therefore I have defined the layer groups in the template file. The job on FME Cloud fails (no errors in log) and even with log debug turned on no meaningful information is returned. Last logfile line:2020-10-16 16:06:28 | Processing AutoCAD File...  Does this have to do with FME Cloud instance? Does anybody have any good/bad experiences writing into DWG groups on FME Cloud? @markatsafe @daleatsafe @daveatsafe

I have over 30 dwg files. Is there any way I read all at once but I filter them based their file name (1.dwg, 2.dwg)? I need to create Convexthull per dwg file and find out whether they are overlapping.  When I read all dwg file by choosing (Single Merged Feature type) it comes like this .

The basic workflow is:Read in featuresCount them (via StatisticsCalculator, Total Count)Depending on count value, calculate sample valueRandom sample features based on calculated sample valueSampler doesn't allow to set Sampling Rate (N) as attribute value. Maybe there is a workaround?

Hello,I want to use a FTPCaller to push a file on a SFTP server. It doesn't work on my Windows 10 PC, but on another PC it works fine. Hi, we havw installed the FME Server just before few weeks, so we are beginners. I published the workspace into the fme Server and wanted to run the workspace. After directing to correct Respository, workspace and Service Download, I added a Published Parameters: Source- from My Folders in PC-per Temporary Uploads, (Adressen). I could also run a workspace, but anything happend, and after some time this "Information" appears.  I am not sure what to do, in this case. How or if to do something? 

Hello everyone, and thank you for looking! I am asking your help on an operation that I would like to do, but I am unsure how to do it in FME. I have a table such as this: ID AREA VILLAGE1 232 Oxenfurt1 452 Las Vegas1 923 New York2 124 Jacksonville2 298 Charlotte3 767 Las Vegas3 422 Charlotte3 223 Oxenfurtetc... What I want to get is table where ID is unique with a single VILLAGE entry, selected based on the maximum value of the AREA entry, and all other entries with the same ID removed. Taking the above table as example, the result that I would like would be: ID AREA VILLAGE1 923 New York2 298 Charlotte3 767 Las Vegasetc... How do I achieve this? Note that the input also has polygons, but those do not matter; I want to only have a resulting list of unique ID with the VILLAGE that has the highest AREA only, and delete the others. 

when i bring an autocad drawing into any fme wb it shows the text as a different size than what is in the drawing. If i use esri to display the drawing it shows exactly what is in the drawing. Why can't this be done in fme?another feature i would like is to be able to turn the autocad text into linework (with the string as an attribute). I have accomplished this in some software before (can't really remember which software). The first part of the request would be to quickly read a file make a change and write the file back out with only a small change. (virtually impossible to do with fme currently). The second part of the request would be to in effect use the drawing in fme to write out to many other software with the graphics of the drawing preserved.

Hi all,  I have multiple dwg files. I created concave with help of HullAccumulator and I would like to identify which concave hull intersects which concave hull. It is possible that one concave hull intersects more than one. For example if polygon 1 overlaps with Polygon 2 and Polygon 2, I would like to add this in the attribute of Polygon 1.  I am trying to combination AttributeCreator & Intersector and Tester but I could not get expected results until now.  Thanks in advance.

Current Version: FME(R) 2020.1.2.1 (20200909 - Build 20624 - WIN64) Hello 1) Since upgrading to 2020.1 regardless of build version, the sorting function is no longer working and therefore causing issues. (Tick / Untick box does not work)  2) "Run-to-Selected" no longer working as it should. it carries on translating the entire workspace.  PS: Not discarding the fact that it might be a localised issue. ThanksSameer

Hi guys.Everything was working great with the 2018. But since I moved to the 2019, no matter what type of file I bring in the Data Inspector, it just crashes after trying to load it. The Workbench works fine though.I tried all the builds (of the 2019) that have been released so far, no success. I tried to re-install, uninstall, still nothing. But as soon as I get back to the 2018, Data Inspector works again.The problem is that I need the 2019 for latest import and visualization of IndoorGML. I suspect the bug is related to Qt5 because when I try to debug the application with mvsc2017 I have the following exception thrown:Unhandled exception at 0x00007FFE39931BFC (Qt5Gui_fme.dll) in fmedatainspector.exe: 0xC00000FD: Stack overflow (parameters: 0x0000000000000001, 0x000000CEEFE03F18).I did not update anything related to Qt5 lately. Anyone has an idea?Thanks in advance.

Like this: _list{0}.aaa : A_123_list{1}.aaa : A_234_list{2}.aaa : B_245 to _list{0}.aaa : A_list{0}.bbb :123_list{1}.aaa : A_list{1}.bbb: 234_list{2}.aaa : B_list{2}.bbb: 245 Is there a way? I'm specially looking for help on the list creating part. I can manage renaming the list values;) I was looking for a way to first do this:_list{0}.aaa : A_123_list{0}.bbb : A_123 and than do this:_list{0}.aaa : A_list{0}.bbb : 123 cheers,ronald 

I'm building a simple workspace to generate a (for now) simple dashboard for FME Server. I'm naturally using Workbench for this. But every time I run to test the workspace, it fails because the FME Server parameter isn't available on desktop:Starting translation...Undefined macro `FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DASHBOARD' dereferenced in file .....Program TerminatingTranslation FAILED.Why are these server parameters not just missing or blank, so I can run and test for them and run the workspace on desktop, instead of crashing my workspace ? They're readily available in the transformer dialogs.Any work-arounds for this ?Cheers
