Hi : We are trying to use the fmelicensingassistant_cmd utility to check for FME Desktop license counts prior to running some of our scripts that launches (fme.exe). Without doing this pre step, we end up triggering a very unfriendly error when no licenses are available, and users would think the system is broken. From my testing so far, it seems the utility is always returning 1 more license being used than actuals. (as compared to running the LMTOOLS on the licensing server) And, if all licenses are actually in use, the utility will take roughly a minute to respond, at which point it will still, report that all licenses are in use. Neither is desirable and this behavior prevents us from actually determining available licenses. Is there anything I am doing wrong?  By the way the specific license type we are looking at is the Smallworld license.This is the command I'm running:fmelicensingassistant_cmd.exe --query <servername>:27000 Any help appreciated! 

I have a SQL Executor that is meant to simply call a function on our PostGres database. The workbench is literally a Creator > SQL Executor > Logger To call the function I am executing the below SQL; do $$begin call apply_titles_update();end$$;FME initially struggled to find the function so I added the schema, so the SQL now reads; do $$begin call land_registry.apply_titles_update();end$$;This function does a number of things, notable a lot of table drops and inserts, however when FME runs it now fails to find the tables;Error executing SQL command ('do $$begin call land_registry.apply_titles_update();end$$;'): 'ERROR:  relation "dataset_update_schedules" does not existLINE 4: ...                                          from    dataset_up...                                                             ^QUE...'A fatal error has occurred. Check the logfile above for detailsI have then defined the schema to the actual function for each table, but still get the above message in FME. 

Is it possible to expose fme_basename on schema features, when reading in just a schema using a FeatureReader? I've tried exposing it on the reader parameters for an excel file, but it does not come through. Adding an AttributeExposer reports it as missing.Thanks

Hello,we are developing an application which is using Data Download Service. User gets an email with download link in it. When the dataset is already deleted from FME Server, user is redirected to a web page "Download Dataset Expired".Is it possible to customize this page? For example to translate it etc.?Or is there some way to automatically redirect the user to some other web page? Rudolf

The datasets are not small the vector layer is 1600 polygons spanning over 150,000 hectares and the rasters are a 10 metre by 10 metre cell size over the same area. The rasters are slope classes of F,S,V,X in band 0, so my output would be polygon one has w number of "F", x number of "S", y number of "V" and z number of "X" cells. I hope that's a clear enough explanation of the problem!

FME 2020: How to exclude fields added by the “Deaggregator” tool? I couldn’t figure out how to exclude fields added by default as the the “Deaggregator” tool is performed 

I installed fme server "FME Server 2020.2.2 Build 20817 - win64" on a new machine, and then restored from backup "FME Server 2020.2 Build 20787 - win64". The restore appeared to go successfully however all jobs fail with a message like "Error: The log file for job ID "6" does not exist". I suspect there's a path somewhere that needs to be updated. How do I locate where it might be configured?http://SERVER:8080/fmeserver/#/systemevents/history?page=1 shows over 250 events so it's not that logs can't be written at all. I found a thread mentioning this message at https://community.safe.com/s/question/0D54Q000080hL2RSAU/fme-server-2019-error-the-log-file-for-job-id-2613-does-not-exist and the cure there was to run System Cleanup tasks. I have 14 tasks listed on that page and all are enabled. I don't see a mechanism to trigger them to run though. 

My goal is to batch deploy the process to many CSV. The transposer is only keeping the attributesof the table. FME_basename and all other attributes are dropped. With one file at a time i'm able to link to the source data set. but its not working when i batch deploy. It's keeping the same name and my files are overwriting each other. Thank you for your help

Hi list.This may have a simple answer, but I'll try and ask anyway.I have some 200+ features, that I want to add a geometry to. Simple, right?My table with geometry has 2.5 million rows, and I have to match on two string values.I initially tried to use DatabaseJoiner, but apparently it doesn't handle geometries ?I then got stuck with reading all 2.5 million records and use a FeatureJoiner. It works, but it's not optimal.What is the better way when fetching geometries from a database table/view for very few features ?Cheers.

We have a dataset of 911 calls by unit and are trying to calculate a response order for the unit by call. The dataset contains the fields ReportNumber(Unique Call ID), Unit, UnitType, UnitDispatch(Date/Time), UnitEnroute(Date/Time), UnitOnscean(Date/Time), and ArrivalOrder(Numeric). My goal is to calculate a field ArrivalOrder so that if 3 units are assigned to the same ReportNumber I can tell which unit was the first on scene, second, ETC. The dispatch database only gives me the first unit but doesn't give me the running order if multiple units are involved. I've gotten to the point that I need to group them by ReportNumber and now I'm stuck. Has anyone tried to calculate something silitar and had any success? I thought maybe StaticsCalculator might work but wasn't giving me the order per line. Thanks.

I am trying to connect to an ESRI basemap through a REST endpoint and utilize the resulting raster within a VectorOnRasterOverlayer, but I cannot get the raster within my workspace to work properly. Here is the URL that I pass into the ImageFetcher. This results in an image but it doesn't know its spatial placement and such. Would it be possible to create a script in one PythonCaller with a number of functions, and then call the functions in that script from another PythonCaller using the 'from <script_name> import <function_name>' syntax?

I have 676 DTMs, each a 1000 x 1000 grid. I am trying to convert them to a point cloud.I am using a PointCloudCombiner transformer between reader and writer. Hello,I have a lot of geotiffs that I want to import into a map project. Unfortunately these blueprints are framed by a white background, which I would like to transform into a transparent one. Basically I only want to keep the lines, that make up these blueprints. I imagine the required steps somewhat like this: Select the background. Since every blueprint has a different shape, i would try try to detect the background-pixels by colour (white). Possible drawback: Single pixels in the needed Picture could also be white and therefore be falsely selected. Is there a transformer for this you would recommend?How else could I differentiate the needed parts of the geotiff?Delete the selected pixels or turn them transparent.Another issue that I worry about: The thin, dark lines of the blueprints might hardly be visible on an orthophoto-based map. Can I somehow change the colour of my outcome? Since I am new to FME, I wonder which transformers I should use. If you are experienced with similar

I am wanting to set the twist angle on an existing viewport, I see twist angle in the DWG reader but I am having trouble finding how to identify the viewport in autocad since they are not named, can I use viewport order and only rotate view port with same order? After that I think it is simply a matter of inserting the proper attribute on export but I am not sure what the name of the attribute is.

Is it possible to set up a parameter for a custom transformer so it allows selection of a list, not just a single element of the list?

Hi,  I have troubles setting up a dynamic writer. In my workbench I perform two different queries on a PostGreSQL/PostGIS database. I want to write the results of these queries in a FileGDB using a fanout that creates feature classes based on an attribute value. Furthermore I want to overwrite the entire GDB each time the workspace runs.  I setup a FeatureReader for each SQL query, connected the ouput+schema to a fileGDB writer using the dynamic writer option. It almost works as desired but the problem is that the different schemas are merged in the output, so each feature class now has all attributes from both SQL queries. Does anybody know if and how I can setup the writer to get the correct schemas. Thank you very much!  

I know how to use ListConcatenator in order to concatenate all list values into a single attribute. However, what can I do if my feature has multiple list attributes? I want to concatenate all values of all lists into respective single attributes. The resulting single attributes should have the names of the original list. Good morning. I'm putting together a workspace to transform a Revit file into Cesium 3D tiles. Overall, it is a pretty straightforward process, but I'm facing an issue with the elevation. The building stored in the Cesium 3D tiles is floating, so I need to offset the Z to put it in floor level over a 2D basemap. I've been using the Offsetter transformer with lots of trial and errors until getting it right, but I would like to know if there is a better way. So the question is: Is it possible with FME to make that "elevation removal" automatic?

Hi, I've got a pretty complex model going on, and I am writing an an excel file (appending) a few times throughout. However, even with the Feature Writer (as shown here) field names, it's not being picked up in the Feature Reader which is the next step. I know there's other field names of this type in the model, however I'm pointingit at the file to read, and they appear as such in the written excel file. I've tried purging temp data, closing and opening workspace, but to no avail. Any ideas?Thanks

Hi All, I tend to use the workspace description parameter to track my overall changes and updates to the workbenches I create. This is handy for me to have a way to track things within the workbench itself, without having to keep notes elsewhere on what i've done. However, it's not exactly easily "user facing" for the others in my organization. I'd like to be able to pull the overview, help and history from the workspace parameters in order to have them exported out alongside the reports that i'm generating if possible. I don't see them stored as standard parameters that FME can fetch in something like ParameterFetcher. Perhaps this information is accessible in the FME python API somehow?

I'm attempting to use the Trimble Connect web connection, but I am receiving an authentication error. I have a Trimble Connect account and have received my consumer key and consumer secret for authentication, but I'm not able to get it to work.  I've reviewed the Trimble Connect API documentation, but I am still relatively new to working with API's, and this API requires multiple steps, so I'm having trouble. Does anybody have examples of authenticating with Trimble Connect with FME? I could sure use some assistance. I downloaded the provided collection and environment in PostMan and was able to connect, but no luck getting this to work in FME. Trimble Connect API Documentation
