I have a counter transformer in a workspace and it is giving me a weird count value. The value that comes out is : @Value(__fme_ft_return_value73e8b8c0-7916-4466-bd7c-e869a55224a1)  I have never seen anything but a number come out so I am baffled.

i have several points and i want to connect each point to another points to find the shortest path between each point and another points if exist . as shown as in image .connect Points A with B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J .connects Point B with A,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J .connects Point C with A,B,D,E,F,G,H,I,J .and connect each point with the rest of the points.then i would like to cancel the duplicate connection ,as above if Point A connects to Point B ,so it is the same connection from Point B to Point A .so i want to delete the duplicate connection.i have tried to use line builder ,he connects all points together but when i used it as input for (from ... to )in shortest path finder ,and i used also for the another input network properly noded ,i got no paths output .so i was thinking that i should use vertex creator instead of line builder ,so i need to create several lines from each point to the rest of points .then i want to find the shortest length path between each point and the rest of points ,if

Hi, I have a ESRI-JSON file which geometry looks likes this: "geometry":{"hasM":true,"paths":[[[333334.24000000209,6611588.879999999,0], ...Note that the hasM property is true.I am trying to convert that file (among other operations) but when it is read by FME it seems that the third coordinate is parsed as a Z value and not as a measure: Where I should expect something like that (2D but with true measure): Question: how to deal with that data to output a true M-Value? I am thinking of two approches:Find a proper setting in the ESRI-JSON reader what would parse the M-value as a true measure and not a Z ; I did not find that kind of settings if it existsLet the reader as it but find a way to transfer/copy the Z value into a M value using transformers; I did not find the proper method yet Any thoughts about this? Thanks a lot!Jean

Hi, I have a problem that I can't figure out how to approach. I have polygon Shapaefiles of fields on a farm over a number of years (one file per year) with attributes specifying what crops are grown on each field that year and a unique ID for each field. I would like to merge these into one file where each field has an attribute for each year specifying the crop grown.The problem is that the fields are not constant over time. Exemplified in the fig below. A field may be broken up into multible fields (case 1) or the oposite merged into a bigger field (case 2). The fields may also change in size and/or geometry (cases 3 and 4). The fig also tries to illustrate the result I am looking for. If the geometry changes according to these cases the fields generally recieve new ID:s. Any ideas on how to approach this problem? p=field, c=crop Best,Johan 

Hi Guys, As per below image, I am trying to split a complex linear polygon by its center line segments. I have not able to find a transformer to do so or any post that works for me scenario. Any ideas would be highly welcomed   For further context: I am trying to divide a polygon by 1km2.  For simple polygons, I am using Dimitri's approach within the following link - https://community.safe.com/s/question/0D54Q000080hEUV/divide-an-irregular-polygon-into-n-number-of-polygons-of-equal-or-approximately-equal-area  However, when a site is linear and complex, as the one above, I have trouble to divide the polygon correctly as I need to avoid scenario 4 below which contains multiple polygons whereas I would like to being able to divide the polygon by following an spatial logic. That is when I came up with obtaining the center line of the polygon and splitting it in different sections, which is my question above. However, if there is another way to split a polygon by specific size avoiding

Hello,I have a table in Postgreql with geometry that I can perfectly load in QGIS but the FME reader doesn't show the geometry. The allowed geometries is postgres_none but they are polygons. What am I missing? TIAJonathan

Does someone recognize that Regex Lookbehind does not work in the string function FindRegEx, but does work in the StringSearcher transformer? Pattern: (?<=[_-])\\d+\\.\\d*$String: Foobar_1.023 RegardsDaniel Update: I did some testing, this is my result:Conclusion: StringSearcher and ReplaceRegEx behaves as expected with lookaround. StringReplacer doesn't handle lookaround at all.FindRegEx handles lookahead, but not lookbehind. Test workspace is attatched.

We have a FME 2020 workspace using python 3.7+ running successfully on Desktop.When running on FME Server 2020 (FME Server for Docker 2020.1.3.0 build 20632 linux x64) the workspace failed due to the python version loaded by the FME Server engine (python 3.6. coming with the image). It looks like python 3.6 is the most current for Ubuntu 18.04 The question is: Is there any recommended way (by safe) to enable python 3.7 in the environment we have? thanksKlaus

We have to access .jxl files from trimble connect, Till now we are using FTPCaller in the reader dataset where .jxl were stored in the FTP site now we have to access these files direcly from trible connect cloud. Could somebody provide your views to resolve this issue.

I have multiple .dwg files and a shape while which consists of polygons (Grids). I would like to clip the dwgs by the polygons and save them to individual new dwgs.  I tried Clipper and LineOnAreaOverlayer. However, quite a lot of objects are rejected as I have different geometries in it or objects like in the image How can I clip all objects in the dwg regardless from object types?  Thanks in advance.

I'm new to FME. And I have a shapefile. The *.shp is footprint of a building. I want to give an extrusion value to it manually. And then write it as a CityGML file(*.gml). I am unable to see any ArcGIS Pro python interpreters available in Options>Translation. I have Pro 2.6.0 installed and FME Desktop 2019.2.3.2.

HiI'm trying the tutorial / article about "How to create a WMS Service using FME Server". I've published the first workbench (GetCapabilities), but I'm having some problems with the last one (GetPNG). I've modified the FME_SERVER_REQUEST_URI to match the result from my FME Server.  When I try to run the GetPNG workbench, the FeatureReader only outputs Schema and Initiator, and not the Generic-port which are used later in the workspace. I've tried reading from ESRI Geodatabase (.sde) and from the corresponing Azure-database (Microsoft Azure SQL Database Spatial). If I try to manually select the feature types to read, I can select the ones that I've included in my URL and which is used in GetCapabilities. How do I get the generic-port to work?

I use the SQL executor to join a lot of PostGreSQL and PostGis tabels. One of these tables contain a "geom" column with points and line objects. At the end of the SQL statement i want to select only the lines. Can anyone specify which statement to use to select only linestrings? 

Hello, I am trying to create a reader to process AGS 4 data but am struggling with it a bit.For those who haven't encountered the data before, I have included an example below.When opened as a text file, the data is all in one column. It is grouped into sections that define a subsection of the overall dataset. These sections always start with the "GROUP" header and end with a empty line before the next group header. Is there a way within in AttributeValidator Parameters -> Validation Rule -> Rule Configuration -> NOT EQUAL a value? 

Lets say I have locations of point/polygon features along a line and I would like to count the number of points along the line using a moving window. For instance I'd like to slide along the line using a window of 100 feet. As I move along the line, I want a count the number of points within the 100 feet window until I reach the end.Once the counts is done, I'd like to segment the line as well, based on the total counts within the 100 feet window. Any ideas and help on this will be greatly appreciated.

The attribute names are always the same and in the same order, but not necessarily on the same row numbers everytime. I tried isolating by using the _element_index (using HTML Extractor and ListExploder) but these are not consistent across all tables (as attrbutes such as location can have multiple values),
