Hi there guys (and girls), I've been trying to combine several 3D-geometries (arcs, polygons, lines) into 1 big polygon.  What I have now are seperate parts (a window, a floor, a wall and so on), but what I actually want is a clean building that is only clickable as a whole.  I already managed to combine the different geometries into a geometry collection with the Aggregator Transformer, but I was not able to write this geometry to the destination file (OBJ).  Does anyone have any idea how I could solve this problem? I am looking forward to hear from someone else from this planet soon,Claire

Hi,When exporting to Datasmith all the meshes origin is located in 0,0,0. This courses some problems for us in Unreal, especially when we are working in large worlds.Is there a way to make the change in FME so that the meshes have a pivot point in the center point instead? (There was once a time that adding the CsmapReprojector from same to same coordinatsystem worked, but not in FME 2021)

i have adobe geospatial pdf and it has lots of points that connects together with different lines ,i would like to extract the lines coordinates and also the length and extract also line number for each line . FME 2020.2 Thanks in advance

Hi, I try to request data from an api by a POST-request with httpcaller. Every post works fine when I set the parameter geodata in the body manually like this:{"geodata": ["FCA","FF"],..."}These are identifiers of features, which I want insert dynamically by an other transformer (Attributekeeper). The attributekeeper delivers one field called BSTs with this content: "MLLF","DPU","WWM" {"geodata": [@Value(BSTs)],..."} As soon as I activate the connection between attributekeeper and httpcaller, the api sends a "403" not allowed. I suppose, that the httpcaller sends the data of the transformer attributekeeper within the POST, what is not allowed by the api. But strange is, that I send allready the authentification-token to the httpcaller to use it in the header. This works... Any ideas are welcome ;-)Best regards, Christoph

I want to write out a bunch of MapInfo tables, placing multiple tables into multiple folders. My folder structure is about ten folders named after Districts. The District name is a value in one of the columns. How do I tell FME Desktop to fanout to a different folder based upon the value of the District name?

The data conversion from the oracle database to dgn works fine. I see in Microstation that the coordinates are identical with the counterparts in the Oracle database. However, Microstation doesn't seem to know that it has a coordinate system. It says <coordinate system not set>.  In processes 'downstream' requires that the dgn files have a coordinate system for further usage. This is now a manual step, that we want to avoid. Is someone familiair with this and knows how we can setup FME to write the coordinate information? 

Trying cell value based colors in Excel. ExcelStyler is simple and straight forward. Still I am missing some fundamental principle is missing. Attached workbench has very easy example to demonstrate how I mange to create non-formatted excel file.

Hello thereI was wondering if it's possible to write to geodatabase relationship classes where the source is not a geodatabase, so you don't have the "OBJECTID" to set as the "geodb_oid". I'm reading in some CAD data and am inserting records into 1 feature class and 1 table in a defined File Geodatabase that already has the relationship class setup (non-attributed), and want those 2 objects related. All the examples I've seen of writing to geodatabase relationship classes seem to have a Geodatabase-type source with already-defined OBJECTID values as attributes. I may have missed some documentation, or have done some tests incorrectly, but is it possible to somehow create the "geodb_oid" at runtime or would this have to be a 2 step process (i.e. 1) write data to feature class and table and 2) write relationships)?I know this is a bit vague but hopefully there's enough information that someone knows the answer!Thanks

Hi, i have a attribute field that contains value more than 8 charecter.I want to limit it to 8.

I use to run the conversion process of GeoTiff to ECW with compression of 90 and generate TAB file using FME2020, i never experienced any issue. I recently upgraded FME to 2021.2, I have to convert JP2 to ECW with compression of 90 and want TAB file as well. I ran the process multiple time, but I don't get TAB file generated in output folder. Even I found new attribute in this FME version, where it asks to select ECW Format version (2 or 3), which one to select..?

I tried to display CityGML data in FME Desktop Workbench 2022 (Build 22282 - macosx) and got the following message, when trying to access the 3D Window:3D mode is not supported on this platform. OpenGL 2 or above is required for 3D rendering. Will there be a FME Desktop Version for the Silicon Macs? Soon?kind regardsPeter

Hello, I'm still juggling with FME. I have this very large raster (30 Go) and I need to clip with over 2000 different shapefile extents. Right now, I have been trying to use a Feature Reader and set up a spatial filter to read only what intersects the selected shapefile. Unfortunately, the whole raster is always completely returned. I have also tried creating a parent workspace only reading the main raster and creating a child workspace that would clip the raster according to the selected shapefile. The problem is that the raster is then read EVERYTIME in the child workspace (which amounts to about 72 hrs of unnecessary processing). I have read somewhere that you can publish extent parameter and use it in a normal reader to apply a search by envelop and than clip. However, I can't seem to understand how to "call" the parameters in the reader as there are no way to input parameter (see picture below).  Would anyone have a solution?

What I need to to do is to create one attribut in the table adress that says what polygon they are within. One adress can be witnin many polygons. This should lead to many duplicates but when I try to use pointonarea overlayer the point only gets the attribute from one of the polygons. I've tried to group by the polygons unique values but that did not work. I think this should be easy to solve but how to do it? To be clear the table "adress" should get one attribut that tells every polygon they are within. How to do it? Best regardsJesper

I have Table1 with the attributes "code start" and "code end".Table2 contains a code and geometry. Now I need the geometries conmbined from al codes that are between "code start" and "code end". Examples:Id 1 will get only the gemoetry of code 6371 ABid 3 will get the geometries of code 6371 AP and 6371 AR combinedId 5 will get the geometries combined of all codes between 6371 BA and 6371 BD 

I have a workbench that generates features with about 20 attributes. Not every run will have the same source and so not every run will fill the 20 attributes in the feature writer. I have used the NullAttributeMapper just before the FeatureWriter to map null and empty attributes to missing, but it still outputs all the <missing> attributes. I have tried both Automatic and Dynamic, but same result. What's the best way to only output the attributes that aren't all 'missing'?    

I have a following problem: I want to group and build lines from points based on two different groupings. Firstly by category_id that indicates certain categories for the lines (number of categories varies from 1-7). Secondly by "line_number" that indicates consecutive measurements points (see first picture with four point lines). As a result (see second picture first line) or in another words I want lines where category change starts a new line within "line number"-group. Points have order_id so it is can build the lines in particular order. I've tried LineBuilder but can't figure out which aggregations/groupings I should do and in which order.   

I have a CSV file containing the four values of a bounding box. I would like to read the file into FME and populate the four search envelope values of an SDE reader in order to clip the data to the search envelope when reading the data. Hi,I am trying to do transformation using Snakegrid projector to OSGB.I have appropriate Snakegrid license as per FME desktop registration key. However, looks like I am facing issue with python compatibility.  I tried some workarounds as below:1.     Installation of FME desktop & Snakegrid projector with the help of expertise in the team2.     Installing FME desktop version (2021.2.1) with customizing python option3.     Setting up python interpreter in Translation (tried using all options given in drop down), But when I try to add Snakegrid projector it used popup with python incompatibility and changed to python 2.7 Error snapshot as below:Please can anyone help me with this issue?

I want to convert 3Dsolids (dwg) to a shape. But the shape is to complex I just want the boundary of the multisurface. How can convert these multisurfaces to a boundary? Thanks

FME Desktop 2022: What is the equivalent tool for ArcGIS “join field” in FME? I couldn’t figure out if there is a tool that’s equivalent tool for ArcGIS “join field” in FME. For example, in the screenshot below, I wanted to join the attribute table of the layer L1 with the table T1 to end up with having all the fields of table T1 in the layer L1           

Is it possible to add transparency styling to DWG output via FME? There doesn't seem to be an option in the DWG styler. If there is an appropriate field in the autocad format attributes i can overwrite this value but I can't see anything relating to transparency.

I get data via API in a JSON format. The values from "Points" need to be stored in seperate attributes. I managed to do so with JSON Fragmenter (json["points"][*]). With list indexer I can then store each index (0 & 1) to an attribute. But I can not transform then this attribute with DateTimeConverter.  In the log I saw, that the list structure still exists in my dataset. Hi all, I am designing an automated proces to transform a File Geodatabase into a GML that is validated by an XSD. The validation fails, because the gml_id is part of the geometry trait of the feature, where this shouldn't be the case. When temporarily turning the validate output parameter off, the result looks like this: The red line in the picture above indicates the gml_id I'm talking about. For the XSD validation to work, the gml_id in the geometry needs to be removed. When checking the attributes of the point feature, I see that the gml_id clearly is a geometry trait of this feature. See the picture below: With this information, I made the assumption that with a GeometryPropertyRemover, this gml_id could easily be removed, leaving me with only the coordinate system, the dimensions and the actual geometry. I have a workflow in which i convert .dgn and .dwg files to postgis, in this process I spatially join the text to areas, as I need them for attributes. My problem is the text alignment for the dwg files is baseline_left.Even though my colleague centered these. Is there any workaround, or possibility to get the placement to center?I've tried using an offsetter, but the areas are very different in size, so the offset is not uniform distributed between the points.  The .dgn files does not have this problem.  EDIT: The problem is that: the placement of the points are not what my colleague sees in her program, there they are centered. But they are not centered in the areas when I open the file in FME.  Thanks in advanceJonathan
