I upgraded OSX to version 12.0.1 last night (Monterey) Now when I try and create a new Reader in Desktop I get the error as follows. Is anyone else seeing this? I am running FME version 2021.1.2.0    

Hi, I'm inefficient with CSS selector statements - having no HTML authoring background. I want the CSV download links at this site and only the csv download links:https://data.sandiego.gov/datasets/parking-citations/I can get all 'a' tags and the href references no problem but have to test the result ends with '.csv'. Can anyone give me the right selector syntax for the element I'm after? Thanks all.

Hi, I am new using FME for cartography and I am not sure how can I create those elements in a raster map (north, graticule of coordinates, scale bar), I am currently using Mapnik rasterizer transformer to represent my raster and vector layers, and some labels, but I can't see how can I go from that to a complete map with all its elements. I've made the simplest of Server Apps with a Source Text File, StringReplacer and Output Text file to the Data Download service. In the App Parameters, the String Replacer "Text to Replace" shows what it looks to be all of the Transformer configuration settings, but all I want is the Parameter Prompt. I attached a screenshot of it (and the underlying workspace parameters) - can the info in red be removed? I'm running FME Server 2019.1.3.1.Thanks!

I am currently using a ChangeDetector to determine which fields have been updated in two different databases. The change detector works as intended and creates a list of different fields have that have been updated. The problem I have is that all the updates need to be written to a database on a one-by-one basis and currently I cannot find a way of sorting the updates by the specific field that has been updated. The updated list created by the ChangeDetector has specific attributes called "attributeName" and "revisedValue". I want to use those two attributes to create a new single attribute which is named after "attributeName" and has the value from "revisedValue" that indicates to my database which field need to be updated and the value that has changed.

This is an error I get when I try to refresh an existing layer in a feature service on ArcGIS Online. ArcGIS Online Feature Service Writer: 'addResults' error for a feature in 'Environmental_Inspections'. The error code from the server was '1000' and the message was: 'String or binary data would be truncated.The statement has been terminated.'Has anyone else run into this?

Hi, We have a very basic workflow where a user enters a value into a parameter, and we write that value to a CSV which is stored on a network share drive. We have an external facing website that we would like to have access to this CSV so that it can publish the latest value found in this CSV.  I am not a web developer, I am a GIS Guy, so I am a little out of my depth. Is there some way I can save this CSV on the FME server so that it is available via the Website to read?  I am unsure if that is the best way to explain it, sorry for the n00b terminology.

I have data for various sites and some sites have been digitised more than once and have overlapping polygons. However, these are not virtually identical polygons. They only partially overlap. I want to find the sites that have overlapping polygons. I tried using SpatialRelator with "Intersect", using the same data as both Requestor and Supplier but it picked up instances where one polygon was actually adjacent to another but probably just overlaps a tiny bit. This resulted in 3700 out of 3900 having more than 1 related candidate which doesn't really shortcut the process. "Contains" wouldn't work because not all overlapping polygons are completely contained.

Hello Sir/ Madam,​I am trying to check if the input "units" and within " floors". ​There are two floors and many units, which they both have "base level" attribute.​The following are what I would like to find out separately.​1) units that are completely outside of each floors2) units that touch the floor boundary yet part of the portion is outside the floors I am not sure how to do ​let FME know how to process each baselevel ( 4.53 and 10.3) in this case one by one. The attached documents are in shapefile. I have been using the neighbour finder to create a line between an existing point and road line, which works fine up to a point. I am sure the below is fairly straightforward but have been racking my brains to no avail. I have tried the group by which is giving some strange results too... Both the Road and Point Datasets have a RoadID attribute meaning that all points should be linked to the correct road, this is not currently happening with some points being linked the shortest distance to the nearest road and not to the correct road. Any suggestions how i can get the points to link to the correct road via the RoadID field? The image below shows the results i am getting with the Yellow lines drawn on where the links should be going. Thanks in advance...

I'm new to FME and tried to use the Rcaller transformer. However, the software lags at the log point "processing Rscript" and does not finish the translation but does not give back an error. This is also the case if I try to run the Rcaller example dataframe() script without any input data. See screenshots for details. Any help much appreciated.I'm using FME 2019.2 with R >=3.6. I'm trying to create a series of adjacent wedges from a central point. I have built a workflow that builds one wedge (polygon) then I'm attempting to use the Rotator to create a new wedge at every 1.8 degree rotation 200 times to encompass a full 360 degrees. I suspect there is a simpler method but this is what I have done so far. I'm using the XY-MM coordinate system. Any thoughts on the best way to accomplish this task? Thank you,Gil

Hi authors.FME workspaces are stored in a specific and well-known structure on an FME Server. So finding the path of another workspace is feasiable.I'm wondering whether I can use WorkspaceRunner to submit other workspaces on an FME Server instead of FMEServerJobSubmitter ?Is this completely no-go, or are there benefits, such as running more workspaces within a single job ?It would also simplify building and debugging on desktop.Any insights are appreciated.Cheers

Hi, I am trying to IMPORT an EXISTING relationship feature class and FME complains about the name being too long....I cannot rename the Relationship feature class since it is a part of an existing data model. The table/feature class name 'WaterstaatswerkWaterkering_Waterkering' is too long for Oracle (!!??) to accept. Please shorten the name and try again I think this is a FME limitation that should apply if you are going to CREATE the table, but should not apply if the table/relationship feature class already exists! Anybody any thoughts/ ideas on how to go about this?

I am wanting to change the the background color of a table cell based on the text value within the cell. I.e. if the value in the cell is "Good" change the background color to green and so on. I am converting an excel table to html table using the HTMLReportGenerator then created custom html where the script below runs but the output doesn't work. I would like to save the feature count from a reader and later use it as a conditional check before writing the data back to the database. For example if the reader feature count is 600, I would like to make sure there are 600 features after processing and before writing the feature back to the database. I have experimented with trying to connect StatisticsCalculators to get the count, VariableSetters /Retrievers and the Terminator, but cannot get everything to work and it seams overly complicated for something so simple. Especially since I can see the feature count on each connection line. Any input or suggestions?
