FME Desktop 2020: How to delete All layers (feature classes) available in the destination esri file Geoddatabase before writing on it from a workbench? For example, in the screenshot below, I wanted first to delete all layers that are available in the destination esri file Geoddatabase before writing in it How this could be performed?  

I tried FTPCaller using the full path to the file I want but I am unsure of authentication as it seems undocumented. I am unable to use username and password and must use SSH key files. Setting to ssh-agent seemed like the way to go but how do you choose your key file? I am publishing to Cloud anyways so I thought I would look at what was there and seems there is upload capability for sftp using a subscriber and ftp watcher (no sftp). Am I missing something?

 I´m right now trying to learn the basics of FME and have been busy doing calls to open data in Sweden, primary published as json files. I have managed to read the, and explode a list and write back to an excel file. I now try a larger dataset of about 1 million rows. I can not figure out how to extract more than the limit 500 records. I have tried searching in the forum an Google without understanding how to proceed. OK, here goes.  I have some data in a SQL Server database but it is stored in an object-oriented fashion which means a normal SQL query doesn't work, I have to pivot data in order to create a traditional tabular view.  Now that in itself wouldn't be a problem, but all data is stored in the same location with each asset class (e.g. door, window etc.) having a different number of attributes, so depending on how I pivot I get the relevant attributes as fields.  All good so far?  OK, so I want to push this data from the source database into the target database (Oracle in this case) and the method for doing this is currently using SQLCreator to create the fields by which I want to pivot (based on the asset class as a parameter) and then SQLExecutor to retrieve the pivoted table, which works, up to a point.  What doesn't work is that the attributes of the output from the SQLExecutor are not exposed, and I can't get them to be exposed without Populate from SQL Query option, which fails as it 

I am using FME 2019.2 to read multiple Autocad drawings (r.2018) and then write them out into a single combined DWG. I've referenced a template file with all of the block definitions in it for the writer, but cannot seem to get any of my CAD blocks to write. The log tells me that "AutoCAD Writer: 3189 feature(s) were rejected and not written to the destination dataset", but doesn't give any hint as to why they were rejected. I've tried this using both the RealDWG and Map OD readers & writers, and I've tried it both with and without a DWG Styler transformer. Why are my blocks getting lost in translation?

Hi, I want to create a dynamic workspace. I have an excel file and I want to execute everything from there. I want to send database information for sqlexecutor via excel. but I couldn't find how to add format and dataset information. Is such a thing possible? 

I work for a deck building company that consistently needs to find lot boundary markers, but due to lack of information sometimes we are unable to identify where the boundaries of a lot are. We are exploring and trying to find ways that we could easily find the part of the lot that is the physical boundary marker of the property. Assuming we are able to find longitude/latitude coordinates, we are looking for software that could allow us to enter that information in a smartphone in order to be guided to that point on a map on smartphone. Hello, I have a large workspace and there will be more developers that will develop it.I was wondering if we can use Git from inside the workbench. A visual diff that would identify changes in nodes and their properties, like e.g. Node-RED does, would be extremely useful.We already have the project in Git and treat it like a binary file.

Hi all.I'm trying to expand an existing workflow, that outputs Shapes and TABs (and FFSs) just fine with an option to output GeoPackages as well. This does not go well.I'm using dynamic schemas, and merges the relevant schema information onto each feature. Then I use FeatureWriter with "Schema from schema feature" to output the data to a file, to be attached to an email. I normally use ZIP, but in this case I just want to use GPKG.The first problem is, that the writer ignores the request for dynamic schema, and attempts to output any and all exposed attributes.The second problem is that each attributes gets the data type TEXT(200).Is there a trick to have FeatureWriter outputting a Geopackage with dynamic schema ?Cheers.

We have FME-Desktop and FME-Server installed on two separate machines.An external office is helping us setting up FME-Server and transferring our workbenches to the server.Our informatics department is very strict with granting access to servers and it's only possible for them to access to the server on which FME-Server is installed with a two step identification (SMS-Code).They can access to the server with FME-Desktop as well, but they cannot upload FME-Workbenches to the server, as they cannot establish a connection between the two servers. Our plan is now to install FME-Desktop on the same machine as FME-Server. Are there any arguments against this or can it be done without problems?Thanks, Vera 

I have to combine 30 sql tables into 1 while preserving globalID unique identifiers. These tables have slight differences in column names (i.e. GlobalID vs globalid or JobsiteGlobalID vs JobGUID). These need to be mapped during the insert. I want to be able to run this multiple times so I'm looking for an "if not exists" append transformer. Any recommendations? I've looked as FeatureMerger, but it doesn't seem to work with 30 readers. I've tried a simple append, but re-running causes issues.Thanks.

I have a layer with 75 parks. I need to buffer all of them with 300 meters. But after this I need to clip the buffers with roads and railways(barriers). When I done this I only want to keep the polygon that are on the right side of the road. Sometimes these areas intersect an other park. So if I go for spatialfilter areas are kept even though they should not be. On the pictures below I only want to keep the selected polygon(yellow) because that polygon are intersected of the orgianal park. I've tried group by i spatialfilter but get no success. Is it possiable to solve this? Have attached my workbench with orginal data.  best regardsJesper

Hi All I've been having a look at the new engine assignment rules on recent version of FME Server. When creating a new Engine Assignment Rule you have the ability to create a custom engine property to use to assign engines. However I see no way of subsequently assigning that newely created property to an engine to use in the engine routing. In the Queue Control documentation it suggests that you can add custom properties to Engines, but only using Kubernetes https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Server_Documentation/WebUI/Queue-Control.htm (towards the bottom of the page under 'To add a queue to a new rule') Is there something i'm missing? i've had a dig through the config files (thinking it might have to be a manual assignment similar to older versions of FME Server) also had a dig through and could find anything apparent in the REST API (side note - noted theres a new v4 API in the works) This could be really powerful if you were able to individually tag engines with

Hi,I am trying to complete this trail where it is requested to connect to a FME Server in order to upload the workspace. To try that I started a VM on stringo. But I dont know which FME Server Parameters I have to enter now to connect. Also I would like to access the web interface of the server in the VM but I didnt manage to login, maybe you can tell which login credentials are neccessary?Cheers,Merlin

I have an automation in FME Server 2020.1. I changed the workbench being triggered advanced setting from run until cancelled so that it is no longer checked but this change is being ignored and the log shows that it is still using that setting. Perhaps this is being cached? Anything I can do to force the change to be applied?

Issue best described with some images:  Anyone have any ideas as to why, before lunch it was running and reporting taking a few seconds, now it is taking a one minute but reporting as taking 3 seconds. I am running as a data stream. Thank you

Is it possible to resample a raster so the values left are one of the existing band values? If I use the raster re-sampler with the average 16 interpolation type, I get an average of the 16 cells but what I need is the value that occurs the most in these 16 cells.

I am unsure as to why I'm not able to connect to NetSuite via the ODBC connector in FME. I have Windows 10 (64 bit), FME Desktop (2019.2 b 19801 64bit) with the ODBC (64bit) driver installed. I have verified that the connection works in ODBC Source Administrator and also in Excel.  The error I receive in FME is: Error connecting to databaseDatabase Generated Error Information:Database Error Message: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specifiedDatabase SQL Statement Text:SQL State: IM002Variable Information:ODBC 3.x Reader: Failed to connect to databaseI have verified the data source name matches with the username and password in the reader parameters, but I am unable to connect. Any ideas as to what I could do to get it to connect? 

I have a jp2 and jpw file. Reading the jp2 results in the data inspector showing the resulting data in the wrong location. How can I fix the location? I've tried setting the coordinate system on the reader but that doesn't fix it. I know the j2w file holds information about the location of the jp2 but I don't know how to read it along with the jp2. I know I'm likely missing something simple so I appreciate the help.

I've created a workflow to update, delete, and insert new records to an hosted feature service. The delete and update have been throwing log errors like:ArcGIS Online Feature Service Writer: 'updateResults' error for a feature in 'Job_Line'. The error code from the server was '1019' and the message was: 'The specified feature could not be updated or does not exist.' In the reader, I'm making sure to include arcgisonline_globalid and arcgisonline_objectid in the format attributes window. These appear in the Joined output for the FeatureJoiner (for updates) and the the Deleted output of ChangeDetector (for deletes). I'm really scratching my head as to how to the OBJECTID's can be incorrect in the writer when the reader is the same online source. The parameters for the Writer have Use GlobalID = No and Preserve GlobalIDs=No.For the layer, parameters are set to Writer Mode = Update (dont think this matters with fme_db_operations) and Trunca
