I'm reading a number of json files each with their own set of records. I can see I need to expose many attributes but without adding hundreds of lines (the index goes to 142). Hi I would like to use a new line as a separator in the list concatenator but I do not know what I need to actually type into the separator box. The help suggests a sequence of Ctrl+Shift+j (^J) but if I CTrl+Shift+j, nothing happens. I have no idea about the ^J. I have tried pasting this in as text too but no combination works. Please could someone explain what the help file is suggesting I do? Thanks

I've been given some data - 10 KMZ files which seem to comprise multiple named layers (so over 70 in total) with only occasional data in the Name field, which I want to convert to TAB format. I'm struggling with it - below are 3 views of the data - in Google Maps, in QGIS and in FME Data Inspector. I also attach one of the KMZ files here. I'd like to generate a workspace to produce 10 MapInfo tables of points, lines and polygons, to correspond with the KMZ files and named as the KMZ files, but with an attribute column populated with the layer names, for example, "J Garden Terrains" (in QGIS appears to be the Layer names) and a Name field for the occasional data that has. The only way I can see of converting the data at the moment is to click on each layer in QGIS and Save As a MapInfo table. I'm sure I must be able to do this in FME - I hope so! I'm running JSON Fragmenter to break out an array, and, in the process, it indexes each row of that ID. Is there a way to retroactively put the last JSON Index value of each ID's array into every row associated with that ID? I'm trying to calculate a percentage of where each row is compared to its total. (JSON index [8] of ID XXXX is in the first 2.34% of ID XXXX's total JSON Index.) Thanks, in advance!

I am trying to write a fanout of a large pdf using bookmark data that was merged from a csv file. The fanout works, but the output files give me either blank pages or very blurry/unreadable images. The source file contains many jpegs and was created using BlueBeam. I am able to see raster images using RasterConsumer (filtering to single pages), but the end result is unusable. Here is my workspace with annotations:Surely this is possible?Thanks,@lorenrouth​    Update:After looking at the data from the GeoSpatial PDF Reader, the issue appears to be the file has multiple formats on the same page. How do I deal with a pdf that has text, image, raster, spatial and vector data all on one page?!?!? If I send spatial data only to the writer, it leaves out an important raster image. If I include the raster, it is output with an unreadable black background and blurry text. If I print the pdf as an image, it looks fine, but there is no text or metadata associated with it, making it impossibl

I am struggling to ouput rasters correctly when using the GeospatialPDF writer. My source file is a PDF that has text, image, vector and raster data. It's the raster that is giving me the trouble. When isolating the raster and sending to the GeospatialPDF Writer, some of it comes comes out ok, but the rest has a black background. Interestingly, the colors are switched when viewed from Google Drive! What is going on here??? Viewing the raster directly from the GeoSpatialPDF Reader, it looks more or less normal (should just be a straight white background for everything). My workspace is literally a Reader and a Writer, that's it. The goal is to be able to render the output pages exactly as the original, using the data from the other objects for a fanout. So, I have a set of flight tracks, all uniquely identified, and I'm trying to separate the flights into phases. I've had great success for the takeoff and landing portions, as well as the cruising portion, but the ascent and descent is giving me a hard time. When a plane is ascending or descending, it gets a "C" or "D" in the altitude change column. I thought that I'd be able to characterize the ascent to cruising or descent to landing phase merely by the presence of C or D (when it levels off, it gets a "-".) Sometimes during an ascent to cruising or descent to landing, however, the plane will briefly get a "-" or worse an opposite letter, which kills the consistency in characterizing the phases of the flight. But, if a "-" or the opposite letter is present, it will always be preceded or followed by the correct flight status. So, is there a way to change an attribute's value according to that flight_id (a separate value

Hi, all.I'm trying to pull a couple of dozen JSON files into FME with an API through flightaware.com, so that I can build flight tracks, based on the unique flight_id of each flight.I built a python script today that accomplishes the objective and saves all of the separate JSONs into one JSON, locally. With some help, I figured out how to pull that JSON into a couple of fragmenters and have been going from there. So, ultimately, I have the option of continuing to run the script separately from the FME session, but I was curious if anyone knows how to integrate an independent Python script into the workflow. Python caller hasn't worked for me, I assume because it's designed to process features not save files locally. Also, I didn't use the http caller because the URL request was done per flight id, so I decided I'd need 20 callers running simultaneously. Is that a correct assumption, or is there way of iterating through a list to fill in the URL request multiple time

 I have a workbench that has two ESRI Geodatabase (ArcSDE GeoDB) readers. The first (TableA) is a table containing updates that have been made, there could be up to 500 rows found. The other (TableB) is the table that needs to be manipulated based on the updates found in TableA, this table has 500,000 rows.  For efficiency sake, I am hoping to only read the TableB if there are rows returned from TableA. Can we tell the workbench to run the TableA reader first, IF rows found in TableA, then read TableB and continue through workbench processes, ELSE end workbench. Any thoughts on if this is a possibility?

Is there a way to bring the user name who requested a job run into the workspace as an attribute?  My current attempt uses a PythonCaller with the following code: import fme, osimport fmeobjects def processFeature(feature):    feature.setAttribute('Username', os.getenv('USERNAME'))    pass...and passes Username on as an exposed attribute. This works fine in Desktop, but in Server it always results in the Service Account username populating the attribute.  So if I run this in Desktop, Username is populated with jpickles... if I run this in Server, Username is populated with serviceaccount even though I am logged into FME Server as jpickles.  Is there an easier way to accomplish this task that I am currently unaware of? 

Hi, I have two shape files. One containing roads and one containing the grade of the condition of the road based of an inspection. The shape files share two attributes, starting point of the road and ending point of the road. I would like to add an attribute in the road shape file, which is the grade from the other shape file. Not every road has been graded, but I would like to add the grade as a new attribute for those that have a grade. So, if there is a matching starting and ending point in both shape files, which means that it is the same road, the grade should be printed as a new attribute in the road shape file. I hope this makes sense. Hi,I very new to FME and I am trying to get a hold of things. Right now, I just need to make sure I can simply distinguish elements added to the workbench. However, I can't seem to be able to rename everything. This PATH reader for example, properties are greyed out. There is only one for now but I am planning to add many more and I will need to differentiate them. How can I rename them and that is shows up in the workbench? Kind regards,Anne-Marie

Here is another simple-yet-not question: I am working with a large pdf and want to populate pdf_document_info_metadata attribute values for every feature.  I have tried: FeatureMerger, Joiner, Aggregator, AttributeValueMapper, NullAttributeMapper, AttributeManager (trying to use Adjacent Feature) etc. This should not be that hard, but I'm at a loss. Hi, I'm still fairly new to this tooling ecosystem. I have "inherited" a workbench and have made some changes to it. At some point, one AttributeManager started to appear in the "Incomplete Transformers" section of the Navigator. It's missing the attribute called "subcontractista": What I don't understand is, this attribute is being consumed in the preceding custom transformer as well as in the other branch that leads from it. I mean, in the following image, the green transformer is parametrized by this attribute and in the Tester that is hooked to the output, this attribute is visible under the FME Feature Attributes tab.There is no other AtrributeRemover or AttributeManager that might affect the presence of the attribute "subcontractista". In fact, I'm quite positive that I haven't changed that part. 

Dear users, I have a string attribute stored in a field for >150k point features including addresses, numbers, and sometimes additives. Three examples of addresses:  Maria van Reedestraat 9-BSEduard Künnekehof 1Bucheliusstraat 11-BS What I would like to have, is a new attribute indicating only the street name (= everything before the last space) and a new attribute only having the street number plus additive, which matches everything after the last space.  I have found some tips regarding regular expressions, but I haven't found a way out yet.  Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance, Martin

I would like to apply an Excel macro to an Excel document which I have just written using FME Desktop 2020.2. Python Interpreter used is 3.7.This can be done using the library xlwings according to this post. According to the FME documentation I installed xlwings in the folder: C:\Users\<name>\Documents\FME\Plugins\Python Next step I tried to import xlwings using Python StartUp script in FME Desktop.import sys, six, numpy, xlwingsUnfortunately I got this error: Python Exception <ModuleNotFoundError>: No module named 'pywintypes' Is there an easy way to solve this? In case the answer is no, I will switch to another library which can apply a macro to Excel output. 

I'm using FME DEsktop 2020.1, version 20200605-Build 20573 on Windows 10 I have problem with the built in Webbrowser/web view in FME when trying to authenticate Webforum. The Web Service Authentication window(web page) is just white. It did work (rendered the web page) in the past, so Webforum must have added some html/css/iframe that does not work with FME's web component. I talked to Webforum about this and they say the problem is within the built in webbrowser in FME. (Webforum already support Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari) It's possible that the built in webbrowser does not support iframes or other html that Webforum use. Have anyone had a similar problem and managed to solve it somehow? FME developers, what web view/web component do you use to render html pages? FME developers, is it possible to use for example Chrome browser instead of the built in webbrowser to authenticate?  

Hey! I have a bunch of polygons (in 3D) that I want to create break lines between. My idea was to use Intersector but it does not create the break lines for some reason. I have attached my workspace. To clarify, the green lines in this image is the result I'm looking for.  

Hi, I have two shapefiles that represent two boundaries that are suppose to align in a perfect world but due to updates, they are now misaligned. The datasets are for the whole province and I need to find the area/ the specific part of the boundary that does not align with the other boundary. The boundaries are polygons but then are transformed into lines, and I need to find a way that the line that is misaligned with a 10 meter tolerance will get highlighted.  I have tried neighborfinder and spatial relator (+using buffer for 10m tolerance) but the softwares outputs keeps highlighting the entire polygon or an entire section of lines (even though one line might be misaligned).  Does anyone have any suggestions or ways to go around this? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Hello everyone! I have a really serious problem, which could ruin my show to an important client early next week, and I would really love to help. I have an automation that is operated by watch directoery. I use a file that comes to the folder in the next operation in automation, by filepath.The problem is that the next workbench, reads the filepath badly. (All files are on the server). Here is an example of the log files: The 1609, is from automation which I used {file.path}.as you can see,The system stops as soon as it does not recognize the dwg file.And in work 1610, I put the same file, but set it up manually.Then it worked wellI looked closely, and I think I know what the problem was,​When it reads the file in 1609, it reads it like this:​file_dwg: $(TiuomMaarhot) Petah_Tikva \\ kb-2021-5 \\ Received Files \\ tb400031528.dwg​But in 1610 he reads it like this:​file_dwg: $(TiuomMaarhot) / Petah_Tikva / kb-2021-5 / Received Files / tb400031528.dwg​The difference is in the direction o
