Hello everyone,I am probably posting in the wrong forum section. If that is the case, I am sorry for that.  I was wondering one thing. Normally, there is a FME Desktop training available for every year on the following link: https://www.safe.com/training/recorded/. But for some reason there is no FME desktop 2021 available on this link. Is this only for 2021 the case or does it mean that FME desktop trainings will not be made available anymore online from now on?

Hello,After using the CenterLineReplacer transformer on a ploygon I get the following result. Is it possible to extend the line that was created before so that it reaches the edge of the polygon?  Thanks for your help

I am trying to set up an FME Server Automation, which runs a model every first day of the month. I bump into 2 issues: 1) To set up the schedule trigger, i can not choose "every first day of the month". Apperently the monthly option only lets you choose a montly run from the day it is today (in this case every first monday of the month). How to go about? 2) I want to let the input parameters change for each monthly run. In this case the model does a calculation from a start date until an end date, and the start date needs to be the first day of the previous month and the end date the first day of the month it runs. How can I make these input parameters a variable? All suggestions welcome!

I have a set of tabluar data with attributes (X, Y, EPSG). Where the ESPG can be any valid coordinate system. My goal is to create a set of points in a common coordinate system. I understand I could use a TestFilter for each EPSG I'm expecting then create points, but the workbench will fail if the data contains an EPSG code I didn't expect. What is the best approach to create points in a single coordinate system without hard-coding the workbench for a set of expected coordinate systems? Thanks

FME Desktop 2022: Polygons fail to be saved in esri geodatabase polygon feature class, In the screenshot below, and the attached data and workbench, I couldn’t figure out why polygons fail to be stored in esri geodatabase polygon feature class             

My data is all in LL84. I'm curious if I should reproject into UTM or other coordinate system before I use Buffer and Dissolver?  This is due the answer that I got for my other question https://community.safe.com/s/feed/0D54Q00009LDzFBSA1 The solution was changing LL84 into UTM and then everything found correct matches for nearest neighbor. I'm doing additional work with same data but this time applying a 4 foot buffer to each point and then running them through dissolver to see which points are near each other. It appears to work fine but after my last answer I'm thinking I should reproject the data to UTM and then do this work.  Thoughts?

Using FME Server 2021.Uploaded workspace that has no problems to run on Desktop. Hi, I've been having a problem and I couldn't find any answer that could help me in the forum.I need to cut a raster mosaic that I did by tiles that I have: But when I run the workspace, in the clipper the whole image is set to "outside" and I can't figure out why. I also need to transform the raster mosaic to multiple rasters by that tile and with the ID that appears in the image, but I didn't get there since everything goes wrong after the clipper transformer. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have created a random polygon (in EPSG: 4647) and now I want to put hatches inside of it via DWGStyler. They should be depicted in an angle of 45° and as lines - this works. Between the lines, there has to be a distance of 2 meter and this is where I got stuck. I've tried to achieve this via Pattern Scale in the DWGStyler and by setting "autocad_hatch_pattern_space" to 2 by using an attributecreator, but this doesn't seem to work properly.

I'm sure this is really basic but I'm stumped. How do I take some sort of action based on the number of features emitted by a previous transformer? In this particular instance I need to abort the final write (and send an email) if the number of features are less than 2000. I have a Counter, and can see the number of features. I have a Tester, but it appears to be testing each feature instead of the total count.   

Is there any possiblity to configure/customize fme server error messsages on server side? Any good idea for this?

I am attempting to append records to an ArcGIS Enterprise Portal table from a Postgres database using an SQL statement. I have a SQL statement that works correctly to query the database. I can use this in the SQL Creator Transformer and connect it to an Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service writer in FME Workbench. I can run this in FME workbench, and the records successfully write to the Portal table. The project works on my local machine and on the network server we plan to use for scheduled tasks. FME is installed on the server. I would like to run this on a 12-hour interval using Windows Task Scheduler.  Here's what I've tried:Copied the "header text" from the log in FME Workbench, and saved this as a .BAT file. Placed the .FMW and .BAT files in the same directory on a network server, and edited the .BAT file to point to the .FMW file in its new location.I created a new scheduled task in Windows Task Scheduler to Start a program, and pathed to the .BAT file.Nothing i

Hello,Here is my situation. I have nearly 500 gdbs with exactly the same schema (each gdb contains 7 feature classes). I need to merge only two feature classes. My process also involves a loop and because I do not want to read all the gdb everytime, I have an index shapefile (one feature = one gdb extent) which I intersect with the area of interest in order to extract the names of the targeted gdbs.  Right now I have come down to creating a custom transformer which is able to select the good 2 features classes but in order for my filters to work, I need to be able to input the list of the previsouly selected gdb names in my epxression. So far this is what I manage to do.  I know there is something missing but I can't seem to figure out what. Basically, what I need is a way to feed the list of attributes to build the expression that will filter what I need. Thank you for your help!

I have created a workspace with the help of Mr. Takashi(a person from this forum) that reads the shapefile ,creates buildings then this buildings are separated in storeys and then the storeys are separated in roof,ground and wall surfaces. All this work is attached.I want to find a way to write this information in CityGML (Lod 2).In conclusion i want a workspace that gives me a CityGML writer with the buildings.

Hello, I'm currently reading multiple data sources with a File/DIRECTORY reader and then using the path to read data whether its from a gdb, shp or json. I'm having trouble understanding how I can manage to read ONLY features that have a POLYLINE geometry. I'm guessing there is something to do in the constraint parameters of a FeatureReader transformer but, for the life of me, I can't seem to figure it out.Thanks for your help!Anne-Marie

I'm currently working in FME 2021.2 and trying implement a workbench that can do some dynamic filtering, etc by using a user parameter that defines which fields to act against. The workbench reads in zipped shp file(s) that can have different schemas each time it runs and I want to use a parameter to define which fields I wish to analyse. I can successfully get it to work when one field name is entered but never with 2 or more.Does anybody know what the parameter type should be (eg. text) and what format the field names need to be entered as (eg. VM_STATUS,R20AH or VM_STATUS R20AH)? When 2 or more fields, only 1 feature is returned. I know for a particular datasets that I should expect 207 which is what I get by manually selecting the fields when the data is cached while debugging the workbench. Thankyou for any time spent looking at this

I'm struggling to understand why I get different results for what should essentially be the same transformers. I created a set of sample data and workbench to demonstrate my question.  Using NeighborFinder I'm getting points about 6 miles away from my test point. Using the same test point and using GeographicNeighborFinder I find the correct nearest points only 5 miles away. Since all my data is in same LL84 I don't understand why NeighborFinder isn't giving identical results.  I'm asking because I eventually have to run millions of features and GeograpicNeighborFinder is nice but has a lot more overhead and will take much longer to complete. I don't need the extra features if NeighborFinder would give identical results.

Last week I was contacted by a colleague to process a text based dataset that reminded me of something I had seen in the past for Fortran based datasets.  In particular, the text based dataset looks somewhat like a CSV dataset, only now columns are separated by a fixed width. See below for an example of how it looked:I was wondering if there is maybe already some type of reader that can deal with such type of data? Of course, if you get such a dedicated dataset, you can use a text_line reader, cut/split the text line into separate features (based on the known width (e.g. using a '#s#s#s' format string in an AttributeSplitter, see third example on the documentation page)), and then using e.g. an AttributeTrimmer to remove excessive whitespace. However, this method needs to be configured for each individual dataset, so I was wondering if there was maybe already a tailored made reader that could do this (by first automatically detecting the column widths).  Out of curiosity I crea

A while back I developed a workspace in which I wanted to calculate the 'outsideWallArea' of buildings. That is, whenever buildings are directly next to each other, the touching wall that they both share, shouldn't be counted as an outsideWall. So for example, consider these 3 buildings (cubes with sidelength of 1);Now both building 1 and 2 would have an outsideWallArea of 3, and building 3 would have an outsideWallArea of 4 (note, the floor and roof do not count as wallArea). For this purpose, I used a SurfaceOnSurfaceOverlayer on the buildings. In this way neighbouring buildings fall apart in individual IFMEFaces, and by using the _overlaps attribute neighbouring walls can be excluded from the (outside)WallArea. The 'problem' now is that disjoint buildings are not overlayed to other buildings, and these keep having an IFMECompositeSurface geometry, where neighbouring buildings fall apart in IFMEFace geometry features. Hiwindows 10, FME desktop 2020.2.5 I installed scipy using pip"fme.exe python -m pip install numpy --target C:\\Users\\<user>\\Documents\\FME\\Plugins\\Python\\python37 " I check numpy version and it says 1.16.5 using pip list in commando prompt. But when I run the script in FME desktop it saysERROR |C:\\Users\\<my username here>\\AppData\\Roaming\\Python\\Python37\\site-packages\\scipy\\__init__.py:149: UserWarning: A NumPy version >=1.16.5 and <1.23.0 is required for this version of SciPy (detected version 1.15.1 UserWarning) But the only version of numpy that i have installed is 1.16.5.  Any suggestions on how I can fix this problem?

Hello everyone, So I have a workspace, at the end I will output the HTML result by using HTML transformer. For my html report, I would like to have my writer naming: input file name + _level For instance, if the input file is: abc.geojson, the output file is: abc_level.html I tried as the figure below, yet it is not working. Could someone please give me guide on how to make it works. Thank you and sorry for soooooooo many questions recently. Zach
