Hi, I have a specific use case to solve. Transform a CSV file to a Turtle file (.ttl).Here is an example:CSV file has: 12345, Fred, 2020-01-01, "Foo, Bar"    I would like to then transform this row to: <http://example.com/12345> rdf:type owl:NamedIndividual ;                 a:name "Fred" ;                 a:date "2020-01-01";                  a:ref "http://example.com/Foo",                             "http://example.com/Bar" .And then repeat for all the lines in the  CSV.Any help appreciated 

Is there a way to truncate a list?  For example if I have a list of 30 items but only want the first 10 to be kept. I know I could manually create the list with an attribute creator using _list{0}, _list{1}, _list{2}, etc but just wanted to see if there is a transform or more automated way to do something like this. Regards Dean

Hi, I am trying to use ReplaceRegularExpression as described here:http://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_Transformers/!Transformer_Parameters/StringFunctions.htmTo do a simple transformation of Quotes to escaped Quotes in strings. I have the following: @ReplaceRegularExpression(@Value(Description),["],"\\\\""",FALSE)(as the instructions say I need to add quotes and escape the quote in the to expression.)This does not work, but at least does not have errors.If I try to slightly change the syntax of the to expression (eg less quotes) I get serious errors... Any ideas welcome...

Hello!I have a set of points representing the location of the tree trunks. I also have a 3D model of a tree that i want to be copied to each of the points locations. And here is the tricky part, I need them to be instanced geometries, so they do not require to much space (and rendering power) when I export to fbx, skp and dwg.I tried to read up on the GeometryInstantiator-node but I must admit, I don't quite follow what it is supposed to do. Is there an example for this availible anywhere or do anyone have a clue?Here is a screendump of my script, but it only manages to place the trees as individual models which creates a 30MB file from copies of a mere 15KB geometry-asset.:Sincerely,Robin Nilsson

Hello there,​I would like to check a dataset attributes. So I would like to write a workspace that can check the incoming dataset. ​For example, I expect to receive a dataset that has attribute name. My expectation dataset attribute name: A, B & CThe incoming dataset attribute name: B, C & D. In this case, I would like to call out attribute A and D. As attribute A is what I expected but missing and D is not the attribute name that I want. May I ask what transformer I should use in this case? Thank you very much. Zachary

hello i would like to RUN my workbench with a batch file, so i copied the first line of the log but when i try it, it just launch FME with the workbench but he doesn't run it. how could i do that ? thanks charles.

This is definitely a "New to FME" question. I'm using FME Desktop, FME(R) 2021.2.3.0 (20220131 - Build 21812 - WIN64). When I select "Check for Updates..." an alert says that I new version of 2021 is available with a link. When I go to that web page, I see that 2022.0 is available. Is there is any reason I would not want to upgrade to 2022.0? When I upgrade to 2022.0, will some of my workspaces and transformers need to change? Thanks.

I have run some stats on a dataset where features fall into a specific polygon and have the count and the category. I now need a list that I can bring together in a single concatenated value that is {count1, cat1, count2, cat2, count3, cat3} The problem is that the number of the categories varies from polygon to polygon. The approach so far is statistics calculator => list builder => list concatenator (using category) => list concatenator (using count) which gives me two lists, comma separated but need to being them together. with the resultDoes anyone have any suggestions on how to bring together? 

Hi, I'm creating a workbench to make some audit on GIS files. First my workbench list all files that are into a directory (including subdirectories).Then, I filter theses files to keep only the one I want to audit, for exemple every shapefiles.Finaly I get the schema of every shapefile with the <schema> output of a FeatureReader. It works really great but if I have two files with the same name in two different subdirectories my problem comes : only 1 schema is kept.That's how FME works, it unions feature types with the same name. But in my case, I need to analyse the schema of every layer even if they have the same name. This is an audit so these file can have different schema even if they have the same name. I want to have an automatic workbench and not having to create one FeatureReader for each directory. Is there anyone with an idea on how to get the schema of two files with the same name in two different subdirectories ? Thank you

Hallo FME Community, I am trying to convert ArcSDE to DWG file. A DWG template is available for this, which must be applied to the points (See picture 1).   in my file there is a column named autocad_block_name. this column defines which symbol in DWG template has to be applied to which point. one layer can contain two symbols. (See Picture 2)   Other column is autocad_layer sets the name of the layer in writer.   the DGW Template contains 250 layers and each layer contains a symbol. from these 250 symbols we only need 40 symbols. what problem is that my result contains all layers of DWG_Template and autocad_layer column. I want my result to only get the layers that are in my autocad_layer. 

Hi All, the attached screenshot explains a lot so might want to check that out first. My problem is that I have successfully set up a homemade 'file watcher' where we can drop various files into one folder to be sorted and moved to their correct folders. All this is doing is saving a lot of manual drag and drops but there's a lot of them so it's quite useful (if I can get it to work).  As you can see in the screenshot, the first 4 files sorted just get copied back out and that works perfectly. The 5th, an xls file called 'covid vaccine data', needs to be read in and the records written back out as a csv before being copied elsewhere. You can see that I attempted to use a Feature Reader but the records come out blank so the writer at the end writes out 1,274 blank rows. Any idea how to make this work so I can get that file, read in the actual data, and write it back out? It feels like I'm close but it sure isn't working yet :) Thanks in advance,Ian

I'm trying to move address points from essentially rooftoop locations to the curbside of the address automatically (working with about 10,000 points) I've got the polygon parcel data, the address point data (contains which side of road the point is located on, but is the only layer I have with this information), and the road polyline. I thought the best way to set this up would be to move the address points within its containing parcel to the closet edge of the parcel it's contained in. However I think there would be quite a few scenarios where it wouldnt move the point to curbside and so I'm trying to figure out if that is the cleanest approach and how I could set that up, or if theres a better idea. I've added a picture of the layers I'm working with and how I want the points to appear. Ideally I'd want the points moved to where the end of where I've drawn out the red line would be the ideal goal, however if I were to move points to closest edge of par

Hi all,Just taking my first steps with FME. I am using the FTPCaller to download two .zip files that are provided on a weekly basis. When I specify an existing folder everything works fine. However, I'd actually like to download the .zips to a folder whose name is actually the date on which the download took place. However, when I try and incorporate this into the FTPCaller's 'Target File' path (e.g. C:\\Downloads\\@DateTimeFormat(@DateTimeNow(),%Y_%m_%d)\\@filename) the translation fails as the file is unable to be written.If the FTPCaller is unable to create a destination folder on the fly, how would I go about creating the folder?Any suggestions appreciated!Thanks!!

I'm doing a change detection on a date field from 2 sources. One source always includes time even if they are "000000". The other source appears to be strip those 0's. How can I add the hours minutes seconds to the records that are missing them? Do I need to filter for the records missing time values before adding the 0's. I will attach an image with the "J_NotifyDate" column missing time if they are 0's

Hi, I thought this would be easy but it's starting to look like it's not even possible. For each feature, I want to copy the contents of a list attribute from the previous adjacent feature (-1). It is possible to create a new attribute and copy an adjacent attribute this way, but since you cannot just create a "list" attribute in the AttributeManager, this doesn't seem possible. Is there a way to achieve this? I have also looked at the ListCopier, but it cannot access adjacent features since that functionality is only available in the AttributeManager. Is it possible to access adjacent features via Python? If that were possible, maybe Python could provide a solution to this problem. Thanks.

Hello,I am using Dissolver to remove common boundaries and create larger areas based by an attribute.Next step was to calculate the areas of areas from which I created the large ones - DONE (Accumulation -> Attributes to sum).Now I would like to create a list of some attributes from small areas and put them in another attribute separated by comma ( ex: name, id of old small area).Can we do this in Dissolver? Thanks!Nicu

I have an Edge line (like a polyline) and would look to trim some length in feet off the beginning of the line, with the rest of the line remaining intact as is. Is there a transformer that can do this?

I've created a workspace that updates (and truncates) an ArcGIS feature service. It works great! I'd like to run it once a day in the middle of the night like 3:00 AM. I have a floating FME Desktop license and don't have access to an FME Server. I use the floating license on my desktop and laptop computers, both run Windows 10. I think that this may be more of a Windows 10 question rather than an FME question. Can anyone recommend a way for me to run an FME workspace once a day at a specific time on my desktop machine? Because I have a floating license, I think that I'll need to make sure to FME Desktop on my laptop at the end of the day. Thanks.

I need to update a text file which contains the settings for an executable tool. It would be really useful if I could automate this in FME. The text file is saved in UTF-8 format and for example, lines two and three contain the variables for START_TIME and END_TIME: START_TIME=2005/01/01 00:00END_TIME=2007/12/31 23:59 How can FME be used to change the two dates, 2005/01/01 and 2007/12/31? Thank you, Rob
