Hi.Our main production FME server only has two engines, and its primary function reserves one engine for its function. This leaves a single engine for all other jobs.But the primary function only runs from 06-18 (6AM-6PM), so it's basically idle for 12 hours, in the period where a lot of maintenance jobs are run.Is it possible to set time limitations on queues, so some jobs may be run on the reserved engine from 18-06, i.e. during the night ?I'm running 2020.2.5, and here it's not an apparent option.Cheers

Hi,The KAFKAConnector works fine und provides me features with a filename "key"and the file itself "value". In my case "value" holds a zip-file with Shape-Layers. Hi,I have 1 raster containing 3 bands. All bands contain water depths, but for separate areas. Since they are for separate areas, I would like to merge this information into one band. The final product would be 1 raster with 1 band containing the water depths for the different areas. Thanks.

Hi, I have a non-spatial SQL dataset containing a unique identifier along with 2 sets of coordinates (start x and y, end x and y). I am using 2 vertex creators to spatially enable the data and then want to draw lines between the coordinates, separated by each unique identifier. However, using the LineBuilder the output is only coming out of the Point port and nothing is coming out of the Line output port. The workspace worked previously using Desktop 2018, the only difference now is I am using 2020 with updated SQL data, though the data type is unchanged.

Hello all.Last year, I delivered a number of Shape files to a customer, which they had no problems in using.Now I've adapted another of our systems to create Shape files as a supplement to an email message.These latter Shape files cannot be read by their ArcGIS Pro. The error message is "Failed to add data: ... A user-supplied component or subscriber raised an exception (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040208)". I've also tried to apply Geopackages, but they err the same way. Both output routines uses FME. The former used straight up fixed writers, and the latter uses FeatureWriter, but that shouldn't matter, right ?I cannot see any difference between the two Shape files, and QGIS reads them both without any qualms. Apparently they can read the offending Shape into QGIS, and have it save it as another Shape, that works in their ArcGIS Pro.I cannot see any difference between the two flavors (in QGIS), except that one fails when input to ArcGIS Pro.Does anyone have any

I remember that the number of processes in parallel processing had been determined by "Parallel Processing Level" and the number of CPU cores, in the old days. The attached screenshot is from FME 2017 Help.However, I cannot find the table above anywhere in the documentations for the current version of FME.The table above can be applied to parallel processing with a custom transformer in the current version?

When I add a custom domain for Salesforce in FME, FME is not adding or permitting the ?locale=au suffix. The formatted string should be https://p-2576944.my.salesforce.com/?locale=au but FME looks like it is using https://p-2576944.my.salesforce.com.

Hello everyoneI am using the isochrone transformer in the fme hub for an analysis. I have a network to a single road and multiple source points. I'm trying to get each source point to be analyzed separately and to create polygons as a result of isochrone. All my attempts, including changing the transformer, were unsuccessful. In an Interlis Model provided by the state, I have to write two geometries per feature to Interlis2. Using this FME article (Writing to Database Tables that contain Multiple Geometry Columns) I was able to read the multiple geometries from Oracle. In the database I have a view with both geometries (point and additional polygon). The linked article only provides information for writing multiple geometries to databases. In the Interlis-Writer (ili2fme) I don't have any settings for treating features with multiple geometries. Is it even possible?The interlis model needs the "primary" geometry (point) to be written as standard geometry, while the secondary geometry (polygon) should be written into a specifiy attribute "Detailgeometrie". I'm trying to read a .json file into a single feature attribute. So far all my attempts to read the json has led to it being flattened, with all json 'keys' showing up as an attribute. The reason I want to have it in one attribute is that the jsons in question are service definition for ArcGIS Online content. Essentially it gets converted into a python dictionary using json.loads(feature.getAttribute(...)).  One workaround I've thought of is just changing the extension of the json to .txt and reading that instead. However, I would prefer to do it a neater way, if there is one. Any suggestions?

My last pair of FME socks from the 2017 UC are on their last legs. Probably the last day I'll be able to wear them. I'll have to put them in a safe place until I can put them on for the UC in August. Anyone else need some sweet new Safe swag? 

I have an existing workspace that uses 2 feature writers to create a single excel output file. The first feature writer creates the file and writes data, the second feature writer adds additional data to the same file. [Yes, I needed to use 2 feature writers because data is written to the same sheet but in different locations on the sheets.]The target spreadhseet uses a template.I also have a parameter(s) to set the file name- $(tgtFileLoc)\\$(tgtFileName).xlsx If I run the workspace from a server App as a 'job submitter' it works as expected. A single file is created with all the data and the file is renamed.  If I run the workspace from a server App as 'data download' I receive a single file with only the information from the second feature writer, the file is not renamed, and the template information is missing. Why was the file not renamed?Why is the template info missing?Why is info from only the second feature writer showing? Thanks.

I am having trouble connecting to the API at https://developer.vasttrafik.se/portal/. I would like to get the public transport stops (https://developer.vasttrafik.se/portal/#/api/Geography/v1/admin), but I am stuck, I keep getting "HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden" from the HTTPCaller. I have tried using "Authorization" as suggested at https://community.safe.com/s/question/0D54Q00008WImfCSAT/using-fme-to-call-power-bi-via-the-api-to-refresh-data-sets-dynamically-i-am-stuck-with-the-authentication-piece-for-the-bearer-token, but no success. Any suggestions on what I might be missing?

FME 2020: How to pass the Blocks number to their Parcels? In the screenshot below, there are two layers: parcels and blocks. I wanted to pass the blocks number to all parcels contained in it to end up with a new layer that has two fields: parcel number and block number What might be the best practice to perform this? The data is attached 

I'm looking to generate the Getis-Ord GI* statistic in a workbench hosted on FME Cloud. I believe this can be achieved with an Rcaller, or by calling certain python packages.  Is it possible to install R, or non-built-in python packages on an FME Server instance hosted in FME Cloud?

I'm trying to speed up the processing speed. There might be a few different ways to do this. I'm trying to make incremental changes to a workspace and every time I run it, it takes about 40 seconds. I have two tables in ArcGIS and I use a FeatureJoiner to join them in FME. One of the tables has a data field. I'd like to only process a range of dates. I have about 8,000 records total and I'd like to limit it to 1,000 or so records. Once I get my workspace functioning correctly, I'd like to remove this date range limit. I'm very new to FME.

Hi! I have a question that I can't figure it out myself. I have a CityJSON (v1.0.1.) building data set which contain surfaces with type both "RoofSurface", "WallSurface" and"GroundSurface". How can I read or filter my data based on these types? Does FME support this when processing CityJSON, like it does for CityGML? I have tried eg. to extract geometry parts and deaggregate buildings, but none of these helped. Thank you a lot!

I have a user parameter getting a string of comma separated words. I would like to use that as items/arguments to filter whether or not a feature attribute contain one of those words. It would be to be used on about 10,000 features eventually with maybe up to 5 different words I can get the user parameter to a list, and then to an attribute, but I can't find a way to use those to filter my dataset, either using Like, In, or Contains Any idea how this can be done?It's basically to filter whether a path does or not contain some words

I have a bunch of records with a GroupID attribute on them. Some GroupIDs will only have a single record/geometry, while others will have multiple records/geometries. When I use the Aggregator, it aggregates ALL the records, even the ones that only have a single geometry part.How do I either aggregate only the truly multipart aggregates or deaggregate only the single part aggregates?

One of our technical directors wants to know more about FME, what it is / isn't, and what it does / doesn't, etc. Basically a quick overview of FME that shows off its capabilities. He's signed up for Introductory training, but I feel that that's too detailed and too technical for his position.I read about FME Accelerator. What exactly is that, and who is it for? Would that be suitable for senior management, or is it still pretty technical?I find the Accelerator web page a bit too vague (https://www.safe.com/accelerator/)

I wanted to centralize assignment of Database Connections in my FME Server automations. I currently have a published user parameter on each of my workspaces, connected to the transformers in each workspace, that I can set in each workspace action individually in an automation to switch between databases to load. Each time I want to switch the location I have to change the user parameter on each workspace action in the automation which feels a bit clunky and prone to error if you have many workspace's in an automation. I was wondering is there a way to centralize assignment of Database Connections in the FME Server Automation? I thought perhaps creating a Global Key for the database connection might work but that doesn't look like it's possible. Is there a better way to do this?

I am trying to export to a geojson file (to upload to Mapbox). Unfortunately, 5 out of my 736 features have a type of GeometryCollection. The remainder of the features are MultiPolygon and Polygon. Mapbox is unable to work with the GeometryCollection. I tried using a GeometryCoercer with the Geometry Type set to fme_multi, but all of the features go through the Untouched port. I also tried running the 5 through a GeometryRefiner. This converts 2 of the 5 to MultiPolygon, but I can't seem to get the remaining 3. I have been trying to figure out how to use the GeometryPartExtractor, but I can't seem to get the syntax correct (this is all quite new to me). I'm also wondering if my lack of understanding of the Geometry XQuery syntax is the reason I can't get the GeometryCoercer to work. If anyone has any experience with this, I would greatly appreciate the advice. Thank you.
