Hello,We have been using FME Desktop for a number of years and have just recently started wit FME Server and I am not sure I fully understand how all of the pieces go together. I was working my way through the Invasive Species tutorial and got to where you pass the 'webhook.feature' from FME Server to an FME Workspace to complete the workflow. My issue is we are using FME Desktop 2021 and with the new User Parameters I cannot create a User Parameter with a '.' in it. As far as I understand the 'webhook.feature' is what I am trying to pass into the workflow but FME Server automatically created the 'webhook.' syntax while FME Desktop no longer allows for the '.' Please excuse my very basic question about user parameters but am I not trying to create a user parameter called 'webhook.feature' to grab what's coming in from FME Server or am I totally out to lunch as to how things are passed back and forth with FME Server and Desktop? Any

i have used DGN Reader to read DGN File and it reads great but to modify the font size that read from this file , i use attribute creator and change the value in igds_text_size but i have no effect . could someone fix my problem , why i got no effect of the font size ? and is there other method that i could use to modify the Font size of text ? FME 2020 Thanks in advance

I'm trying to format a human readable date time and I want to include the seconds but nano seconds are a bit much.  As far as I can tell there is no date time flag which is just seconds without the fractional seconds so it seems like you need to remove them with a non-datetime tool. Am I missing something? Date times were created using the DateTimeNow function.

The same geotiff is placed differently in QGIS (3.22) and FME (2022). QGIS is placing it correctly, or at least as intended by the publisher, and shows a cellsize of 2x2m. FME is setting the cellspacing at 0.1x0.1m. Can somebody explain the difference in interpretation? I have noticed this crop up in a few different workbenches since upgrading to a new patched version of data interop 2021.1.2.0 (20210903 - Build 21627 - WIN64). The only solution so far is to run/cache the workbench in sections. Have tried re-installing. Plenty of storage available in the temp directory. The fatal error occurs after saving the cache to the temp directory (but not every time): "Saving spatial index into file...""Finished saving spatial index into file...""2022-02-15 20:43:31| 56.5| 0.1|ERROR |A fatal error has occurred. Check the logfile above for details" It should say "Stored ### features(s) to FME feature store file...." instead of the error message. Anyone else encountering this?

I have a file like the example in my hand. There are photo midpoints in the file. I make useful models for stereo drawing by using them. How can I create these areas automatically?Attached is a sample file and picture.model-1 and model-2 created by manuel for example.

I have three polygon shapefiles, they all contain a column called GUID, this column is unique, the shapefiles often overlap.  I also have a point shapefile, these points will generally fall within 1 or Many polygons.  I am trying to end up with a table similar to the one shown in my sketch. Each point feature should have one or more GUID in it... I am sure there is a simple process to do this in FME, currently I have an overly complex looking scenario that isn't working, I am really over thinking this one.  

I have an an attribute in my table that is type 'string', and I am trying to work out how to associate a code to each of these different attribute types so this code can be used in the next transformer. See screenshot, for example I have added red text, so for POTHOLES, I need to feed the integer 70 into my HTTP caller, for SEAL OVERLAY I need to use the code 105 in my HTTP caller and so on... I am unsure how to set these codes for each of my unique values. I was about to create a new HTTP caller for each of my different attributes and hard code the variable, but I know that would be a terrible idea as I should be able to code this better.  Have I explained this well enough to understand? I'm having a hard time describing it! 

The FME is upgraded to Build 22311: How to align points converted from texts  as per their (texts) alignment in AutoCAD table? In the screenshot below, texts contained in an AutoCAD table are “middle right” aligned. How to keep this alignment as they are converted to points so that they are kept vertically aligned? The dwg file is attached           

I am running a workspace with SDE readers and writers. It has designed to run on one market. I need to run the same workspace on other markets with a new database connection and I was wondering if I could set user parameters to input SDE connections and it will change data in feature readers accordingly. I tried to create a user parameter that allows users to create a database connection, but it did not change the connections in Feature Reader. I still see my old connection. 

Hi, I'm currently sending a excel file via a XlSXW writer with FME SERVER. I am able to receive it with fmedatadownload as a zip file. Is there anyway to received it unzip, just as a .xlsx?  I saw in the documentation the following:The download is returned as a zip (compressed archive) file for the following reasons:The result is a number of output datasets (not just one dataset).Folder-based datasets do not consist of a single file; for example, ESRI Shape format has files with the extension .shp, .shx, .dbf, and some others.Even file-based datasets may consist of more than one file; for example, a GML dataset includes both a GML file and an XSD (XML Schema Definition) file. So my guess is that its not possible to receive it unzip.  Thank you in advance, Ian

We have several workbenches on server that we had set up to use the Download service to allow us to extract sections of national datasets for queries and plan production purposes. However, recently they have stopped providing the download links to the results and any new workbenches we've published to the server are also unable to provide links to download (these have also been set up with the download service). The workbenches are able produce the results, it's just not returning any links.Any ideas on what could be causing this would be appreciated.

I have a basic workbench where I have points stored in an ESRI ArcGIS Online Point Feature Layer, and I have an ESRI Enterprise SDE Polygon Feature Class. 99% of my AGOL points fall within a SDE polygon.  I have created a simple workbench with two readers (AGOL and SDE as previously described), as my screenshot shows, the points fall within the polygon areas, but the tool is not returning a single overlap whereby a point sits on a polygon, yet the screenshot clearly shows the point within the polygon. See '_overlaps' column in screenshot are all 0 Is there something basic I am missing? I just want each point to have an attribute outlining the polygon it is within.  

We do have FME Server setup on Ubuntu OS, and some of our big data stores are in windows file shares AWS FsX. Our users would like to access windows fileshare from FME workspaces in the FME server. Any ideas on how we can achieve this?

Hello, How can I utilize a User Parameter in the SQL To Run After Write? I have a User Parameter (Text Value) with a default value of parcels@DateTimeFormat(@DateTimeNow(),%Y%m%d)  The parameter works when setting the table name for the new table in the DB and the table is properly created: But when the user parameter is used in the SQL To Run After Write, it causes an error. Is that because the value of the User Parameter contains formatters? This line in the SQL:UPDATE '$(ImportTableName)'(I've tried with and without the quotes surrounding the parameter, btw) evaluates to this in the console (and the SQL):UPDATE 'parcels@DateTimeFormat(@DateTimeNow(),%Y%m%d%H%M)'How can I use this parameter in the SQL? Alternatively, how can I utilize a name that is generated at workspace runtime for the table name and subsequently reference it in the SQL?

Hi, I have a ground geometry like this:So this is an aggregate feature, based on faces! Now I will resolve this into a polygon like this: it is not working with Aggregation based on building_id of the buildings! Than I have an aggregate feature like in the first picture  Is this kind of transformation possible?

fme_dataset and fme_basename attributes are there when read normally, but not when read with a FeatureReader.

we have run FME server on windows. Here we used an UNC path as the input folder parameter for the workbenches. This allowed us to store the data that we would like to process on a (windows) network share. Another benefit is that we are able to run the workbench in FME Desktop with the same parameters as in FME Server, since we do not rely on the FME_SERVER_* parameters in the workbench. We are now migrating to a FME Linux / Docker installation, and the UNC path solution does not work anymore. We are looking for a way to just change the content of input parameter, and still access the data on the (windows) network share. I can't find the instructions on setting this up. Would we need to mount the windows network share from the linux server?  Additional questions: Just mounting the windows share from the linux host is not sufficient. Is it possible to access this mount on the linux host from within the FME server docker by using bind mounts?

I have a shapefile that contains about 10'000 points and need to merge some data from a polygon shapefile that describes administrative areas. I need to add the relevant admin area data to each point. Is there a way to do this in FME?

The above before the parentheses is the error and following up on the solution, I have a web connection that I'm trying to establish in FME Server. When I go through the steps to authenticate, I get the attached dialog. I do not understand what this is telling me. It says to "Navigate to FME" but this dialog came from FME server (after logging into Google) so why isn't it just using it. I do not understand where to put the authorization code.  I found these instructions that cover "Managing Web Services" but the Web Service already exists and I don't feel comfortable pasting over what is there because I didn't create it (2nd screenshot).https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Server_Documentation/WebUI/Web-Connections.htm
