In a linked custom transformer, $(FME_MF_DIR) is resolved to the path of the folder of the installed custom transformer and not to the path of the workspace. My workspace is in C:\\workspacesbut $(FME_MF_DIR) is resolved to:\\\\filer25\\users\\uxxxxx\\FME\\TransformersI have to use a PythonCaller in the custom transformer to get the value resolved to the path of the workspace. In a PythonCaller,  FME_MacroValues['FME_MF_DIR'] is resolved to the path of the workspace and not to the path of the linked custom transformer.Is this as designed, or is this a bug?

As far as I knew, the MRF2D transfomers that are offered by FME were only available with an extra cost. That detail was mentioned in the docs of those transfomers, but today I have seen that there is no longer a mention of an extra cost: https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_Transformers/Transformers/mrf2dduplicateremover.htm The transfomers matrix doesn't mention that extra costa, either: https://www.safe.com/transformers/matrix/ Are those transfomers now available for everyone? If that is the case, do I need to download them from somewhere? They don't appear on the transfomer gallery of FME 2021.1.

When the workspace starts I have the user select a certain attribute. Depending on which attribute is chosen I want different user parameters to come up.  So for example I have a list of six items. If they pick item 1 then the attribute manager calculates a number of values. I also want it to display different user parameters depending on which inital item is chosen I hope this makes sense? I'm just not sure if I can even do this in FME. I notice any user parameters I create always show up altogether at the beginning.

While configuring FME server with SSL certificate(with DNS entry) its working fine for localhost and server name. When i try to access it using DNS name it gives error site is not secure and certificate mismatch addresses.

I have set up a workspace which reads in an Excel Spreadsheet whose attributes may change everytime that the workspace is run. As this workspace is part of a larger chain of workspaces I would like to be able to run it without having to reload the reader to ensure that the latest attributes and features are being brought through each time.I have tried setting the 'Scan Schema in Dynamic Workflow' parameter, but with no success. Is there something I am missing?

Hello, we have several 3D buildings that need to be extended downwards. That's why we applied the extruder in conjunction with the terrain model. After that we aggregated the two parts (aggregator). However, then when we turn on the contours, there is the undesirable effect that there is a line between the 3D building and the extruder building part. (see example, highlighted in yellow) How can we remove this line?Or is there another way to extend the buildings downwards?

We're trying to tap into the Waze's partner hub Traffic Data using their GeoRSS XML feed. The feed downloads fine in Chrome and Postman.It's a simple GET request. But I get the following error in the log. "HTTP transfer error: Unrecognized or bad HTTP Content or Transfer-Encoding" When tested in Curl I had to include the ssl-no-revoke argument to allow it to download (might be caused by our funky certificate store). "The revocation function was unable to check revocation for the certificate." I have "Verify SSL Certificates" set to No in the HttpCaller. Any ideas? Is it related to the ssl-no-revoke? 

I've realized that we can include a template to MS-Word writer (docx). However it seems it only captures formatting from the template. Is there any way that I can populate specific Bookmarks/Content Controls based on their title/tag names with attributes?

I have flatten xml file, and some data are missed. For example <p>Свободная ёмкость — <b>627 млн.м<sup>3</sup></b>        <span class="up">11</span></p> it should be 627 млн.м, but it skipped and only values 3 and 11 are in place. In xml ex1 i have highlighted items which are missed in xml example.png. Also attached workbench.

I have a directory watch on a network folder and I can successfully trigger the subscription by adding a file to that folder. I can see that the workspace is triggered as well. However, what I'm still trying to figure out is how to pass the path and file name of the zip file placed in it to the workspace. What would the input parameter need to be set as in the workspace? Currently I have it set to a published user parameter with no default value. In the subscription configuration, the "Source Zip File" parameter is set to "Get Value from Topic Message". However, that parameter evaluations to the path of the JSON file created with the topic is published to, not the zip file path. I've successfully made an S3 Web Connection and can write a file to a specific S3 bucket. I'm not seeing how to send the a file to a specific folder within the bucket using the S3Connector transformer settings. See attached screenshot. I have the Request Action set to "Upload." There are input fields for Bucket and Path. I want to upload a file to my bucket "testBucket" and place the file in a subfolder named "Files" that's in a project specific folder named "$(projectName)." In S3 that's testBucket > $(projectName) folder > Files folder > file.png As it is, the Bucket input has to match the S3 bucket name you are uploading to, but it also creates a new folder with your bucket name, and the Path input creates a subfolder within that bucket. In S3 that's testBucket > testBucket folder > $(projectName) folder > file.png.  Any suggestions on how to target testBucket > $(projectName) folder > Files folder

I have a FME worbench that is reading an excel file and merging it with data in a SDE geodatabase. For each record in the table I need to create an ID field that consists of a consistent initial 3 letters depending on the company, then a 2 digit year, and then 4 digits. It would need to be unique as well. I would need to find the last 4 digit number used by the company and add one to it.I would then need to put this all together into one ID field attribute. Any ideas of how to do this would be appreciated!

I have a string in a attribute. At the end of the string there are brackets containing one or more words. I would like the contents, including the brackets to be put into a new attribute. Ex:Attribute = "cat mouse (cheese crackers)"Desired new attribute = "(cheese crackers)"NOTE: sometimes there is one, two or more words with in the brackets, and I want all of them in the new field. Using a RegEx (\\(([\\w]+( [\\w]*)*)\\)$) I can select that portion of the string, but I don't know how to put that portion into a new attribute.  Currently I have an AttributeCreator with Attribute Value = @FindRegEx(@Value(Attribute),"\\(([\\w]+( [\\w]*)*)\\)$")but the result is not the string, but numbers.  Thank you in advance for your time.Julia

hello,   I have a workspace with 2 tables. these tables are automatically populated. in the translation is a FeatureJoiner (left join) which joins the data from these 2 tables and "moves" it further.. Is it any possibility to stop the translation after running it if one of the input tables is empty(no records)?   Thank you Nicu 

The mentioned database is available under the following url: https://www.opengeodata.nrw.de/produkte/geobasis/3dg/lod2_gml/lod2_gml/ . According to a very brief documentation the database is provided as an ATOM Download-Feed. But unfortunately I don't understand how to handle it in FME and will appreciate any advise. Best regardsAlex

I have GeoJason data from USGS site which contains Epoch time such as 1650016756409 or 1649948565590. I tried to read them in either %s$ or %Es% using DateTimeConverter, all failed and cannot convert. I am using FME desktop 2021.2. Please help.

What type of Autocad drawing was used in training that showed road names and other information as attributes. Usually DWG does not have any attribute unless we use AutoCAD Civil 3D etc. I need to tell my AutoCAD staff to provide me CAD data in that same format so I could easily convert the DWG into feature classes with useful attributes directly coming from the source DWG.

Where can I find FME 2021.x Technical Specifications?

Will applying the FME Extension for ArcGIS in the FME Integration Console, as an administrator, persist the settings to any user of the machine or is it profile specific? Also, will this cause any user of ArcGIS, on startup, to consume an FME license?
