Hi There, I have a workbench that sends an email 24 hours after a certain event occurs. However, the email gets sent everytime the workbench runs and I do not want to spam people, so I only want to send ONE email every 24 hours --but I want to be able to run the workbench often (to check for new events and send out email reminders after 24 hours to those people). --How can I check to see if an email has ALREADY been sent out? That way I only send them ONE email per time period (24 hours in this case) even if the workbench runs many times per day? THANKS FOR ANY HELP HERE! Lewis

Hello everyone, I have a licensing question and I find the online documentation not so clear on that topic.  I need to use an ESRI SDE writer on FME server. It is not clear to me what I need to install on my FME Server to make it work. What Kind of license do I need (ArcGIS pro standard, advanced, ArcGIS server, ...). Do I need to have the heavy client installed on the machine or an ESRI license server is enough ? And where do I need to install it (on the core machine, on each engine,…) ? The FME Server is a 2020.0.0.1 Build 20202 - win64.  Thanks for your support.

Hi There, I am reading from a csv column in which the hours and minutes are spelled out as a string, and I want to calculate the total minutes value. So I created a series of new columns in Attribute Manger and used some Regular expressions to isolate the components of the string. However, when I use the Multiply function against a zero value in the string, I do not get zero. And as we all know zero times any number should always equal zero. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? (I have attached my workbench for reference). THANK YOU!

Hi list.I have a rather large list of choices with aliases, that I need to present to a workspace user when run. The dialog includes a button called "Import", and so I expected it to be able to read a database view with the choice values. But alas no, it reads nothing. Even though I tried to name the two view columns "Display Name" and "Value", the choice dialog remains empty.There is no immidiate help for this, so I'm asking here instead.What are the possibilities and caveats of using Import/From Dataset when populating a user parameter (type choice with alias) ?I'm using 2020.2, but it's the exact same in 2022.0.

 I am able to connect to AWS S3 in the Automation connection I have set up in FME Server. The FME Server Log shows the error to be with the Python module 'fmepy_amazons3' not being found when it is trying to connect to S3 in the readI have tried setting the python interpreter for the workspace to Python 3.7 and republishing, rerunningI have tried restarting the FME Engines Thank you for any insight or troubleshooting steps you have to offer! I have a support case started but wanted to also reach out to the community. 

I've been searching everywhere and coming up empty. I'm loading data from a SQL Server database that users can use to store images as well. The image is stored in a field called "photo" and it is stored in base64.  You can see an example of the base64 data that's being stored in the field (attached). Using online tools and copy pasting the contents of this base64 data does render a png image, however, I cannot get FME to convert it into something that I can export to a folder or even store as a regular raster in the table. Wondering if anyone can provide some clarification. Every base64 image starts with the following: data:image/png;base64,I tried trimming that bit and taking just the encoding and running it through a text decoder. In the "character encoding for binary data" I chose "Binary (fme-binary)". Then i used an attributefilewriter to write the data into a folder. However, the resulting images cannot be opened using any image viewer.Any help on this matter would be appreciated

Hi.I've just finished a new install of FME Server 2022.0.0.2 on Windows Server 2019, and when I browse the management webinterface, I get the ugly Java exceptions below. Either one shows up when I refresh.What is causing this ? Looks like a Tomcat issue, but how to fix that ?I've made some small modifications post-install (not Tomcat), but all 4 services are up and running.Cheers

I don't really want the user to have to download a text file containing the information, then have to open it to find out the answer. I'm hoping to be able to present this to them via the apps webpage but I can't find out how to do this. Is it possible? Do I need to do something with the HTML writers? Thanks,Dave

When I run the workspace locally it works fine.When I make a server app with an other workspace I have no error.So I think there is something wrong in the workspace. - Where can I find 'logs for further details'?- what went wrong

I would like to remove duplicate features based on geometry. It's a dynamic workbench where i query out all tables which intersect with a polygon.  The problem is that our database contains some duplicated features. For example 1 layer for the whole country, and 1 where it's only a small part of it. So i just want one of these.  I have tried to use this guide. But the problem is that the geometry is not 100% alike. So the CRCCalculator gives different values. The coordinates are more exact in one of them.Any tip on how i could fix this? Here is an example of how the difference is for the same point:

Hi all, I am trying to convert a CSV file generated from IoT censors to file GDB. The table got a geolocation field in which X and Y values were separated by comma. I wanted to get the data on LL-GDA94 projection. Although I was able to create a feature but it was not projected properly and appeared out of map extent in ArcGIS. Can anyone help me with the script that I have added here? I am attaching the CSV also. Thanks in advance.

I am bringing in an excel table and then adding some different attributes to it and writing it out to a geodatabase. I need to create a unique ID when writing it out to the geodatabase. I have brought in the original table and determined what the largest ID number is. I can't figure out though how to add it to the workspace without each row getting the same ID number.

ID | Mile 0 6.5 1 6.42 6.43 6.4 4 9.25 12.8etc For every object which has a Mile number that occurs more then once I need to add a number to the Mile number. So for example, ID 1 would be Mile 6.4-1, ID 2 would be Mile 6.4-2 and so on. Now I have done this using Python but I'm sure this can be done with FME also. Can anyone give me some advice? I have tried to convert an IFC file to Cesium 3D Tiles with the Cesium 3D Tiles writer.This results in one JSON file and one or more B3DM files (depending on the IFC file structure).When I try to add the JSON and B3DM file(s) to Cesium ion, the model does not appear. How can I fix this?Is there another method to convert IFC files to 3D Tiles with FME?

We updated our test server to 2022, from 2021, yesterday. Since then i have been unable to save an automation with a action to run a workspace.I noted that an automation I had set up had lost its directory watch path after the update. I added the path a tried a saving but it seems to get stuck and just sits there with the spinning wheel going round. I left it last night when I left work and it was still spinning the wheel when I logged in this morning.I have tried recreating the automation and had no trouble saving until I tried to an action to run a workspace.I have tried republishing the work space, and using a different work spaceThe automation will save with just the directory watch trigger and a series of filter actions, but fails when I try to add a Run workspace action.So I'm stumped

The workflow looks like this: I'm downloading a .zip file via an API and unzipping it using the ZipExtractor. Connecting the ZipExtractor 'File' output to a Feature reader, I was hoping to be able to upload the gpkg-file from 5 different output ports to 5 tables in a postgis database. This works fine if I specify the geopackage file manually in the 'Output' section of the feature reader. Is there a way to use a transformer or to edit the FeatureReader to make it read the output ports directly/automatically from the gpkg-file in the folder the ZipExtractor has unzipped?  Thanks!  /Alex

Hello, I have a wms that I'm clipping with a polygon bounding geometry. It work but the problem is that FME don't refresh the maps to the level of zooming of my bounding geometry. So It cut the whole planisphere and I have only one giant pixel as result of clipping ... how can I do to have a a detailed map ? We are using a Fault Tolerant configuration with 2 servers. We had to change the FME service account because the previous one could not register the ArcGIS Pro License. After changing the account, the new service account can no longer access the FME Web Interface. It is not the password, I can still log in the server using the account just not the web interface; error received is "(Directory Server) Failed to authenticate user "CN=fmeserviceaccountname,OU=SV,DC=ADS,DC=COT." The new service account was added to the FME service using the directory server. The account has permissions to login in as a service and has permission for the shared resource, both server drives and is used for the FME services on both servers. I thought I saw something about deleting the logs if the service account is changed, but I can not find the documentation now.  I found an entry when I bekive the service account was changed to the new service account. Afterwards, I cound no longer log in the

I have an FME workspace on FME Server 2021 that writes a dwg file. The workspace has multiple parameters including 2 that are mandatory: FILENAME and EMAIL.  We want to send an email on success or failure and I have set this up via an automation. This automation will be triggered via the rest api. In the automation 2 of the parameters are passed from the trigger via 2 manual keys. When I manually trigger the automation with a json file and only supply one mandatory parameter (EMAIL) the workspace still continues assigning the output filename to be automation key manual.FILENAME. If run manually via Run workspace it fails. What is the best way to handle this? Should I just test that the parameters are valid via the workspace? Or is there anyway to test if the parameters have been supplied via the automation. Thanks, Annette
