Add the ability to push spatial data into the Tableau BI tool via FME.

Hi, the idea is to be able to set a color to the logged features when we use the logger transformer. The same way when there is an error, the font is red , we could have a different color for the logged features, or perhaps to have the fonts in bold.
It would be great if we could inspect the creator transformer content by right clicking then choosing "inspect" from the context menu as if it was a reader or writer.
***Note from Migration:*** Original Title was: StringManager - Format, Replace Substring, Trim, Truncate, etc. All in One Transformer It would be awesome if there was a StringManager transformer that can do the job of several individual string-related transformers - Similar to the role of the AttributeManager, but for strings! I would like to able to format, truncate, and trim or pad a string, and replace a substring, within a single transformer.
Some of the users do not have internet access or they do have that but with a minimum access. It would be great if the custom transformers from the FME HUB were installed with FME Desktop/Server as per the final release.
Add support for SLD from PostGIS. Similar to when QGIS reads from a PostGIS-database it also reads the SLD Styles.
Basically it's a reverse create custom transformer. It would be nice if there's an option (right click) to reverse all transformers from custom transformer back into Main tab.
Would it be possible to have a magnifying glass in the Workbench to be able to magnify some specific parts of a workspace ' canvas. The lens could be pinned to allow the users to click the magnified property cog or simply read stuff.
So, when you add e.g. reader feature types in your workbench it gets neatly ordered, but alphabetically scrambled. So i need to tidy them up. The reason why I want this is because if I add whole bunch of feature types and they get scrambled I often need to find those that I want and in all that mess it consumes time (and nerves). Selecting them, right click and arrange alphabetically would be nice to have. Yes, there's a workspace search option, but that's not practical for this (typing every name of feature that i can't find by 'visual' search).
Mark location toolAt the moment, you place your cursor, right click and select mark location. It would be much easier and more precise, if there would be a tool for marking locations. E.g. you would select the tool from the toolbar, then click on the map, and the location would be marked.Multiple marked locationsThere's no possibility to have multiple marked locations. That should be added. They could show in a list in the tool windowMarking location from tool windowAlso if you like to add more locations, it could be handy, if you could add locations from the tool window. There could be same mark location mouse tool.
OK. I'm kinda new to all this but here it comes. The idea is to have a transformer or parameter which will attach digital certificate to an output AutoCAD DWG. This will ensure that the document is digitally signed and validates authenticity of it. Of course, it doesn't have to be only tied to this writer. Maybe other format type writers need this ability and would be nice to have this kind of feature.
***Note from Migration:*** Original Title was: Workspace navigation: Button to go back/forwards to previous extent and location Give us navigation buttons to jump backwards and forwards to previous locations and extents in the workspace. Similar as ArcMap lets you go back to your previous extent in your map. This is especially useful in larger workspaces to easily get back to a set of transformers I just looked at. Also, when I delete a transformer, it highlights the connections that were reestablished, which is nice. But it also zooms to those connections which is why I want to go back where I was.
Some prefixes automagically add underscores, and others don't - the "added fields prefix" in the Joiner does, while the BulkAttributeRenamer does not. Could you please change them to all behave the same way?
We can increase the zoom on the canvas, which is great for presentations, but the moment we open up a transformer's dialogue box, we are stuck with a size that in most cases is too small for the audience to read.
Sometimes when maintaining workspaces dealing with features with lots of attributes it would be nice to have a toggle button to hide/show the "Do Nothing" attributes in the AttributeManager, so that only the attributes that have been modified by the transformer are visible. It would be the equivalent of filtering for Not (Action=Do Nothing)
The ability to paste a transformer on a connection line. First cut or copy a transfomer then select a connection line somewhere else. When you hit paste the transformer should be connected by this connection line. Just like the functionality when you select a connection line and insert a transformer.
Add a function to the AttributeValidator to dynamically link it to the attribute schema settings of a writer. I.e. if the linked writer has an attribute called 'Name' which is a 50 char type attribute, all attributes longer than 50 characters will fail the AttributeValidator. This will help ensure that the validated data matches the output schema and does not make the workspace fail due to e.g. writing a string into an integer field.
Using postgis databases to store data is one of the great ways to store geodata. In its current version, postgis provides views (http://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.3/static/sql-crea...) which offer great possibilty to GIS users in terms of visualisation and attributes joint. But in the GIS world, views are not only useful for visualisations but as editing entries directly on the GIS softwares too. The views can have triggers which can write or delete data into tables with some custom rules which are the actual professionnal rules. For example on our project of drinking water network for cities (https://github.com/qwat/QWAT ), we have some triggers on pipes, nodes etc. to ensure information quality and coherency. This works actually well in production mode, but when it comes to migration from an old system to this one, it would be great to be able to use the FME postgis writer to be more efficient. Actually we worked around and went through sql scripting because writing into views is not possible yet.Thoughts? Ideas? Proposals?
