The C++ SDK examples appear to be missing two files: ipipe.h and fmeplugincapabilities.h, so they cannot be compiled. A search of the FME installation does not appear to show them.

I'm using PATH reader and filecopy to make copies of excel files for a monthly archive process. It works great except one small issue - there's a sheet in each file that's linked to another excel file that gets updated every month with new data. The purpose of the archive is to create a snapshot of each month's dataset. Normal process is create a copy of each file manually, rename the file, then open and copy/paste values of the linked sheet, then save. I was hoping to fully automate this process. I've at least automated the copy/rename steps. Is there anyway of removing the formulas and writing the excel with values only?

I would like to find a way to expose the plot size of a given AutoCad layout within the attributes. There is an attribute for "autocad_space" which gives the name of the layout for each feature, but is there an attribute to expose the actual layout/plot size (ex: "11 x 17").To explain what I am trying to do - I have many AutoCad drawings that I need to analyze in FME. Many of the drawings have multiple layouts that are the same but different sizes, (ex: 11 x 17 and 24 x 36), but, I would like to focus on only one of them (the 11 x 17). The reason for focusing on one of them is to gather the information from inside of that plot/frame, and excluding any other data from outside of the frame. There is overlap in features if I don't narrow down the frame size. Any help/advice is welcomed and appreciated.

I have 1 line and 1 polygon layer, have to extract all the intersection points and create a point layer with the attributes of line and polygon present on it, how it can be done?

New to FME, im trying to create an IMDF dataset from a CAD floor plan using the 3 step guide provided. The snapper tool either snaps the door lines together and doesn't provide a line, or it doesn't snap and provides a line, in both instances the output file still contains the door lines in their original locations. From what I understand, the preprocess.fmw is supposed to take the lines of the door and convert them into vertices and then draw a line between them and remove the original lines. Any insight into the actual process of creating a door in autocad that conforms to the workflow process would be appreciated. Does the door line and arc need to be a polyline? The scenario: I have a set of 2000+ 3D polygons and a set of 2+ million(!) 3D points (with all Z's equal 0 at the start). The polygons are essentially surfaces. (I will call them that.) These surfaces massively overlap and have widely varying footprints but are at all sorts of different heights above ground. In fact, most are sloped, and many change elevation position realtive to each other as one moves horizontally through the field of surfaces.The need: For each point (XY location), I need to determine the surface elevation at that location for each surface that the point falls within and to choose the lowest elevation and put that value in an attribute on the point.So far: I have run the points and polygons through a PointOnAreaOverlayer with list building. Hello, I am struggling with transforming a dataset that I have to the desired format. I have a table that looks (for example) like this:ID;16;50;60;75X1;10;25;80;95X2;30;30;90;X3;25;;80;100 The first issue is that I need to use the column headers to get classes:0-16, 16-50, 50-60, 60-75But for ID X3 the value in column 50 is missing and therefore I need to get the class 16-60 (instead of 16-50 as is the case for ID X1 and X2). I don't know how to create this in FME.  Secondly, I need to calculate the value for each class by substracting the values from each other. So for ID X1 I need the following result:Class 0-16 = 10Class 16-50 = 15Class 50-60 = 55Class 60-75 = 15Class >75 = 5 Besides, I want the classes as an upper- and lower limit column.So the final result that I need for the three ID's is:ID;UPPER_LIMIT;LOWER_LIMIT;VALUEX1;16;0;10X1;50;16;15X1;60;50;55X1;75;60;15X1;;75;5X2;16;0;30X2;50;16;0X2;60;50;60X2;;60;10X3;16;0;25X3;60;16;55X3;75;60;20X3;;75;0 I hope my explanat

Every time a workspace file is opened changed and then save a whole lot of lines in the .fmw file are changed. This makes it (almost) impossible to work with git. Does Safe Software have any plans to change this going forward to reduce the number of line changes? It would make development with workspaces much more streamlined. I presume if was doable it would have been done a long time ago, however, it would be a great improvement. I know this has been asked a few times but perhaps there is an update?

Hello,  I have an FTP Caller which works fine to upload a file to an SFTP connection using FME Desktop (on version 2019.2). However, on FME server (version 2019.2) it fails with this error:With guidance from this post: https://community.safe.com/s/question/0D54Q00008B1IFh/problem-with-ftpcaller-and-sftp I also tried publishing the workspace in a newer version (2020.1) and running in on FME Server (2019.1 and 2021.1) but without success.  Any help?

Is there going to be recorded/uploaded again any "FME Desktop Advanced Training" for recent FME versions ? I checked up all the older versions and I learned so much from them and I really hope there is going to be another one for most recent version. Anyone knows something about it ?

I see there are C++ and Java versions of the reproject plugin in the plugin builder samples collection, but not a Python version. Is there something about that plugin that makes it hard to build in Python? In particular I am interested in the OffsetProject sample.

I have been using a url like the one below to monitor my FME Server 2017. http:///fmerest/engines.xml?token= Since upgrading to FME Server 2020, this fails. Is there a similar API call I can make to get the same result?

For example;,361301760100,2845CT; I am specifically looking to extract only the 'CT' cross reference. I'm having trouble trying to push the contents of a CSV file stored in an AzureBlobStorage enviornment into a SQL DB Table. I can download the CSV file directly using the AzureBlobStorageConnector, but I'd like to be able to d it all without creating the temporary file that would normally result. I'm trying to download as an attribute which seems to work, but I can't get the data out of the resulting list as it ends up with a single column from listExploder with all the contents and the index for each element from the file in their own rows.e.g._list _element_indexcol1_name 0col2_name 1col3_name 2col1_value1 3col2_value1 4col3_value1 5col1_value2 6col2_value2 7col3_value2 8 Note in the image, there are 161,631 records output by the ListExploder, from a file with 11,545 rows (including header) of data and 14 columns of attributes in the CSV.

Is there any way to view all the existing User Groups? When I click on User Groups I can only see 5 filtered lists: Active Groups, Archived Groups, My Groups, Recently Viewed and Recently Viewed Groups. Most of the groups won't appear in any. I know there is a Coffeehouse, User Research and 2 Regional Groups for Sweden and Ireland. But there should be more than that?

I want to reopen an old case that is still of interest:Geodatabase Error (-2147219884): The Field already exists (safe.com)My error isn't of the "reserved word" origin nor related to having "shape" as an attribute name.When trying to dynamically create tables in a GDB I get the "Field already exists" error. If I send each feature type to a corresponding table it runs.For what I am trying to do, connecting readers and writers by hand is not worth it.Can someone from Safe comment on this?

Is it possible to use FME to calculate the optimal route that covers all roads in a network?  The scenario is that the garbage truck needs to ensure that all houses have their garbage collected in the most optimal way? Has anyone done something like this - similar to a travelling sales person problem but they are going to every property?
