FME Flow

Is it be possible to setup fme scheduler this way that it is executed on given interval but only if previous job submitted by that scheduler has already finished? For example lets’s say that we have scheduler setup to run once every hour. And for some reason job took more then 1 hour. I would like to execute next job once the previous one is finished and probably shift next submissions times.

Hi, I am trying to retrieve FME Cloud Instance ID to be utilized on the FMECloudInstanceController transformer, but it seems that it is not available through the Server UI.How am I able to retrieve them? Server API?Thanks!John

The company I work for has a floating license server, there are a few of us that have our own licenses. We want to use our own licenses so that others can use the floating ones. How do we stop FME automatically using one of our floating licenses? The only way we've found we can use our own licenses is when all the floating ones are being used.

When trying to connect to FME Server through workbench, I get Unable to update access token for 'connection name'. I generated a new token, that is valid until 2020, but I don't know how to tell the client to use the token.

Fmeserver uses longer time for the first request. If a workspace is run several times it takes less than a second, but the first request is slow. I went through an express install on and Amazon EC2 instance, upgrading it from FME Server 2016 (and cunningly skipping 2017). Everything went smoothly until I went to startServer and it complained about [ec2-user@ip-10-140-151-106 fmeserver]$ Mar 21, 2018 9:00:05 PM org.postgresql.Driver connectSEVERE: Connection error: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: Connection to localhost:7082 refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections.   This looks like a problem with the default FME Server database, but I don't know enough about postgres config or Red Hat to know what to do to appease it. I got as far as opening port 7082 on the instance through the AWS/EC2 control panel and when that made me cringe, I determined I no longer know what I am doing and need help.   If you can, please help! -Fuad

Hi,Almost overnight, the help dialog prompted by the help buttons on the transformer settings dialogs stopped working.I was using 2017.1 x64 (build 17650), but it fails in every version installed, both 32 and 64 bit.The only change from earlier is that I've recently installed 2018.0 on the machine.The help dialog opens, but it never gets any content. If I paste an url into the help dialog address bar, it works however. So it looks like it's the initiation command to the help dialog that's failing.The "Documentation Help Locations" in the "FME Options" seem to be in order.Any insights on how to remedy this is appreciated.

I am trying to submit a csv to a workspace in the cloud using javascript API~below is the call to submit the job to the workspace.FMEServer.submitSyncJob(repository,workspace,params,showResults) The data gets uploaded but the workspace fails with this message:CSV reader: Failed to open file 'C:\\fakepath\\1801116-012618RF(TGS_Export_v2).csv' for reading. Please ensure that the file exists and you have sufficient privileges to read it.Is this a permissions issue, the csv is uploaded to the server so I am wondering why the file is not available for processing also the log file appears to show that the workspace continues but does not produce a result.

After running a workspace download service I cant find how to get the download url in my custom web application.  Starting the workspace: GET to http://server/fmedatadownload/repo/workspace.fmw Getting transformation status: GET to http://server/fmerest/v2/transformations/jobs/id/" . $id But then finally, how do I get the download link to display in my app? It does deliver with email and there it appears just as expected.

I am wondering if it is possible to use the FME Server Failover configuration to set-up a semi-automatic failover system. Rather than sharing a fault tolerant web application server and database between the production and failover FME Server Cores and FME Engines, could the failover web application server and database be created or restored manually when the production environment fails? See the attached architecture that I am proposing.To put it another way, I would like to use FME Server Configuration backups and FME Database backups to restore our production FME Server environment in a failover environment after the failover has occurred. This would just help us avoid having to request a new FME Server license when we are restoring to a new environment in the event of a server failure.

I installed FME 2018 64 bit on my machine that have already FME 2017 32 bit. I have also ArcGIS 10.4.1 32 bits on my machine. Finally, 32 bits Oracle client is installed. Right now FME 32 bits version is working, I can create a reader and fetch data from it. I was asked to test FME 64 bit version and I cannot connect to the database. I have read the link included in the error:ArcSDE client library location could not be determined. Please ensure that FME and the installed ArcSDE client libraries are both 32 bit OR both 64 bit. Then refer to this article http://fme.ly/8q8 for more details. Please visit http://www.safe.com/support if the problem persistsIn the link, doesn't say where it take the 64 bits dll. It's writen to take them in the ArcGIS, i don't see how 64 bits dll vers

Im trying to connect to the license-server with FME licensing assistent, but it fails.It connects to the license-server on port 27000, but says that "it doesnt appear to offer FME licenses". Hi,Since we upgraded FME Server a few months ago from 2016 to 2017 I've been unable to chain jobs together successfully when using the FMEServerJobSubmitter Transformer. I have two workbench's on server which need to run in sequence, the workbenches are run in sequence by creating a third workbench utilising the FMEServerJobSubmitter transformer. Since upgrading to 2017 the 3rd workbench used to chain the jobs together just hangs on server when run until i eventually cancel this?   All jobs are set to run on the same engine, it's as if the the chain jobs workbench is waiting for the 1st workbench to run, however because the chain jobs workbench is running it needs to clear before the first workbench can run!? Never has this issue with Server 2016?It's worth noting that since we upgraded from 2016 to 2017 we increase

I scheduled a job to run, but say when the job is scheduled to run FMEServer is off (someone turned off AWS instance). Will the missed scheduled job run when that AWS instance with FMEServer is turned back on? Is it possible to set up FMEServer try to run all missed scheduled jobs on start-up? Or can FMEServer alert us to which scheduled jobs were missed?

Hi,I was trying to submit job in FME server and it just throwing it in to queue. while I am troubleshooting the issue I have noticed there is no engine listed at Engine Management page I am wondering why??Ihave tried to fix the issue by restarting all FME related service manually and didnt work.Any suggestion? this is production environment ?thank you

We have had FME 2017.1 Server in place for over 6 months but hold off setting up receiving emails forwarded from MS Exchange server. Our company recently migrated to the Office 365 Exchange. Is that any documentation on how to set up email forward from 365 Exchange to FME server? The email receive notification on the FME server is one of the primary reasons we use FME server for.

I am the author of SQLiteSorter on FME Hub. I posted an update to the transformer about a week ago, and the test driver workspace I included passed. Then I looked today and the test driver reports failure. I think I've figured out why: The test driver workspace still referred to the old version of the transformer, without my improvements. And it was passing, so I figured I got it right. However, once I updated the transformer reference version, it started failing on a stupid Python typo. Whoops!I've since fixed the transformer, updated the test driver to test the new version, and uploaded everything to the Hub. But I never saw an email from Hub last week to let me me that it started failing, even though I'd already set up for email notifications of that very event in my Hub/Ideas profile. And, of course, the Hub test passed when I uploaded it last week, so I thought it was working even then. :-/Does anyone know if there a way I can notify the users o

I have a whole solution that is working well in FME Svr/Desktop 2017.0. I want to replicate it in 2016 (FME Svr 2016.1.3.1 / Desktop 2016.1.2.1) . I have a main workspace with Job Submitter and Notification services enable (I manage the notifications on job completion only in the Notfication service)The problem is when I'm publishing my main workspace on FME Svr 2016, the protocol in Notifications/Subscriptions is set to "push". It should be set to "workspace" to take over correctly the e-mails feedback (I previously set a IMAP Publisher with a generic address to trigger replies on the data process). When I initiate the process (send email with data to load) in 2016, I receive nothing while the expect results (in 2017) are to get a reply whatever if the data loading was a success or a failureso this is why I suspect there is something wrong in the settings. Any ideas? or do you know if there was some kind of improvements from FME Svr 2016

This should be done with the kmlpropertysetter in the workspace but it is not working, my version of FME is 2017.1.2.1 This is a part of the fme-desktop-basic-training-2017 what is wrong?
