Is FME 2017 fully supports SQL 2008?

Why does Windows 7 not have FME 2017 RC in the list of installed programs?

I want to install a newer version of fme but windows 7 does not have fme in it's list of installed programs. I can however run the program from the task bar so it is installed ok. Is there an unistall utility from SAFE? How can I uninstall fme otherwise?

FME Server 2017: two engines (32 and 64 bit)

I have a FME Server 2017.0 - Build 17259 - win64 and I was wondering if it's possible to have a 32 bit engine (2016 v1.2.1: we need it because the APIC plugin is not working with 2017 version) working together with a 64 bit engine (installer with the server). If it's possible, how can we manage to license all that? Thanks for your help!

FME Server with https - bug in web-gui to run workspace?

FME Server 2017.0.1 - Build 17288 - win64 Setup with https When using any workspace - and RUN button - it seems to fail. However if I copy the Direct URL directly - it seems to work fine. license server don't work with 2016

Hello, We want to transfer the license server to a new one. Now FME 2104 2015 and 2017 are working fine but the FME 2016 have an license issue. What could be the problem ?? Greetings Arie Buijs

I've configured the Tomcat with FME Server for SSL/HTTPS but there are errors in my browser

I've configured FME Server for HTTPS/SSL following the documentation. I've successfully imported my certificates, configured the web.xml, server.xml and config.xml and there are no errors in the Tomcat log files after restarting. Whenever I try to go to FME Server home page I get "Error SSL version or cipher mismatch" The ciphers and protocols listed in server.xml do match what my browsers support (Chrome and IE) after testing on https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html

Is FME Server 2015 is upgradable to FME Server 2016

How can upgrade the license of 2015 FME Server to FME server 2016. In FME server 2016 there is no licensing assistant to use the license from floating server.

FME Server Number of Engines does not display

We are running FME Server (2015.1.0.2 - Build 15482 - win32). Engines and licenses seem to work properly, jobs can be started and are processed by FME Server. Since we want to downsize the number of engines used, we try to follow procedure as described under "FME Server Web User Interface > Using the Interface > Configuring the Number of FME Engines to Start" which states: "Change the Engine Count field to the desired number of engines, and click Change Number of Engines" However, when we log in using an account that has superuser privilege, the list of Available Engines is there and shows 2 engines, but there is no "Engine Count" field nor "Change Number of Engines" button. Any ideas how to fix this?

I'm having trouble with the backupconfiguration task, as it doesn't run correctly. I've configured my FME Server for HTTPS and the backupconfiguration log file is still showing the unsecure url. How do i fix this?

Unnable to publish/ connect to FME Server

Hello, since a few weeks I'm not able anymore to publish workbenches on FME Server. The error message is: Login failed (Proxy Error) - Ensure that proxy configuration is correct, and that the proxy is accessbile. The FME Server URL, Username and Password are definitly correct. Other users can connect to it from other computers. In the past I could up- and download too, but since a few weeks the error message occurs. My computer hasn't changed. I can access the FME Server via Browser with the URL. How can I solve this issue? Thanks Lana

Migrate FME server database to Oracle

We are using FME server 2017.0. I ran the Oracle scripts to create a FMESERVER user and installed the FME objects. After I changed the fmeCommonConfig.txt (see below) and restarted the FME server, I can not login the web UI using my previous logins. I can login admin/admin, but the contents are pretty much blank. I have no option to import the previously exported fsconfig file. I have to restore the original fmeCommonConfig.txt to go back the working FME server. Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D Object Data Reader/Writer not working in 32-bit 2017

Hi Safe, FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_ReadersWriters autocad_od/autocad I'm very annoyed that there is no mention that the Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D Object Data Reader/Writer was removed in 32-bit (only available in 64-bit). Not even in the reader documentation itself I only came across this issue when i tried to run my scripts on Server/Desktop 2017 - everything failed This is fundamental change to how FME Desktop/Server works, I can accept change, but at least we would like to do a risk assessment when we upgraded to FME Server from 32-bit 2016 to 32-bit 2017. We now have to delay upgrading to 2017 Server until all scripts has been tested to work on 64-bit Please add to Reader/Writer documentation the 32-bit Yes, 64-bit Yes Rudy (Iron-Fist)

FME Server Subscriptions stop working

Hello, We have a number of FME Server Subscriptions setup which have just stopped working after a certain period. If you create another subscription with the same details then it works fine. They are all email subscriptions. I've checked the log file and I can't see anything wrong with it... does anyone know what might be causing it or how I can monitor it? Thank you, Peter.

setting a reference to a folder using shared references.

Hello, I am using FME Server 2016.1 and I need to reference a folder named "farms:. I have added that into the config file and it appears in my resources list, no problem. However, the issue I am having is that I cannot run any workspace when I select the file for processing. If the files are put in other resources like data/myfiles, there is no issue. Routing a Workspace in a Job

I know that you can route a workspace in a schedule to use a specific engine, and I know that you can append "tm_tag=fast" to the end of a URL to do the same, but how do you specify a tag when the user runs a workspace in the Run dialog page? I can't expect the user to understand that they have to add "tm_tag=fast" to the URL, they just run the workspace. Thanks

where should we keep/upload source data set file in fme server

Fme server 2016 I developed ONE fme file which reads from csv file and writes to csv. I Published this fmw to fme server. If I use Fme server’s user web interface it asks me to upload the csv file and loading to temporary folder and fme server knows this path. its working good.I am using my own web page(image attached) and calling fme server’s URL inside my web application.But when I run this fmw, fme cannot locate the source dataset(csv) in the server. How/ Where can I upload/keep my source csv file in the server ?, So that fme server can locate this filepath when called thru fme server’s url. I copied csv to server path and I redirected my source dataset to this uploaded file, it is not locating and gives error.Can you Please tell me how can I achieve this?

Why is ArcCatalog checking out an FME License?

Every time I open Esri ArcCatalog, I noticed that it is pulling an FME License from my floating license pool - this is quickly using up all available licenses!

FME Sever "repository does not exist"

The issue is when I try to run any workspace through FME server they get this error: “Repository does not exit”. I tried the below steps to solve this issue but it’s still not working: Restart FME services. Restart server. Publish the workbench and create new folder in repository. This issue appeared after windows security patch was updated. Please note that the schedule is working fine but if we try to run the workbench manually it gives the error. In attached file you will find the errors. Please advise.

How do you switch your licensing between 32bit and 64bit FME Desktop 2016.1?

It is my understanding that only one of the desktop versions can be licensed at a time. So how can I stop the license activation of FME desktop 32bit so I can switch the license to FME desktop 64bit on my PC?
