Hello everybody,unfortunately, all FME apps (workbench, inspector, licensingmng atc.) are not able to open after its start. I tried to start FME on another server to server with floating licence. Hi there,I try to call an FME POST call using Postman using sample workspace austinDownload.fmw, in Server2017 it works fine, when I test using FME Server2016, it always give me an error:415 Unsupported Media Type(see attached image). Passing parameters I copied from API document. Could you tell me why and how to fix it? Thank you very much.

I have downloaded the 'fme-desktop-2017_2017.1.1.1.17652_ubuntu.16.04_amd64.deb' installer and attempted installation but this fails. I have followed the suggestions in the post here:https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/33517/fme-on-ubuntu-1604-install.htmlpython3.6.3 is currently installed.but error indicating broken dependencies:-libpng12-0 (>= 1.2.13-4), libpython3.5 (>= 3.5.0~b1), libqt5xmlpatterns5 (>= 5.0.2), libtcmalloc-minimal4, python3-matplotlib (>= 1.2.0), python3-numpy (>= 1.8.0)suggestion was 'sudo apt --fix-broken install' but this only offers to remove 'fme-desktop-2017Any ideas welcome. It seems the installer is looking for python3.5 so will it only install with 3.5?

We have just upgraded our 2017.0 to 2017.1.1.1 server and restored backup. We previously configured https on this machine. Anyone know if you can reuse the certificate on the same server? I would think that if I pasted the keystone file into the directory and made all the changes to the tomcat xml files it would work? Once I completed the FME Server Application Service would not startup and https isn't working? Any thought?

I want to find/check my fixed license, or I want to manually install a license file on my machine. Where do fixed licenses live on a Mac?

I’m attempting to get a workspace containing SQL Server connections to run as a windows scheduled task. It starts up but but errors out like so:Thus far I have: made my database connections public, built a batch file, given the task ‘highest privileges’, set the Start In parameter to the location of the batch and tried my own user account as well as the network admin.The workspace runs just fine from within FME or from the batch. The error only appears when launched from the scheduler.I realise there are several articles about scheduling tasks in the Knowledge Base and I think I've been through all of them but obviously I’m still missing something. Hi all,For a SOAP interaction I need to reply in my FME server datastreaming a 202 header.An external company is sending me data via a datastreaming services, but they waiting for a 202 reply. In the workspace I save the data and process it, but I need to reply with a 202 for the external company to know I received the documents. The external company sends a post request to our FMEREST. The reponse page can be blank.My question is, how can I send out a 202 header with server (streaming)services?

I submitted a critical ticket for this, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced engines shutting down and not coming back up for a long time or without manual intervention to reboot the service or FME engine service. We applying FME Server trial licenses for our customer in China. And for the strict network management, we should only use offline mode. And we send the json file to codes@safe.com.Then it will auto return a license file, but this license file can not be actived. We have feed back this problem to safe many times ,but it still exist. This problem will influence our promotion of FME and it will take a long time to get every trial license. Can someone help us to answer and solve the problem?

Hi,I installed FME Desktop 2017.1.1.1 under Linux and have obtained trial license code. It worked within that session. However, after I restarted the computer, FME asked for a license again. On Windows, there is no such issue.Is this something expected? Any workaround?

Hey everyone,I'm looking to add an attribute that will list the username of the last person who ran a specific tool. Can this be done in text editor? I have added a date via @Timestamp, but I cannot figure out how to show who the last person was that ran the tool. Any suggestions?Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!

We have data intense rasterization workspace (which we can share via dropbox) using Mapnik. The workspace is run with Red hat 7 / FME 2017.1.1.1. The server has sufficient memory and cpu capabilities and it is working fine with smaller data sets. The desktop is also FME 2017.1.1.1 version and the fmeserver user has sufficient rights (root + https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/718/fme-server-troubleshooting-guide-testing-permissio.html ).Checked the logs and it reports "No message length returned in FME Engine reponse" and restarts. Can anyone help?

I have a problem in FME Desktop 2017.1. My company uses a custom certificate authority to monitor TLS traffic. In Desktop 2016, I was able to modify the cacert keystore in $FME_HOME\\jre\\lib\\security\\cacerts and add our root cert. After that FME viewed our custom CA as trusted. In 2017.1, that does not seem to be the case. I went through the same procedure and added the cert to that keystore - but 2017.1 no longer appears to respect that keystore (or the windows system root certificates, where it is also installed and fully trusted). Did something change in 2017.1? Am I missing anything obvious?

When starting the FME Server core service, I get the following 1068 error:"Windows could not start Error 1068: The dependency or group failed to start" I've set all of the FME services to run as a service account, and when I swap it back to local system it's fine.

Hi! I am using FME Desktop 2016.1 to publish workspaces to FME Server. I found that after I change the log settings in Tools menu-->Translation (for example, change to only log errors) and republish the workspace to FME Server, the log obtained by running it from FME Server will be different.It seems a little bit odd to me, and I wasn't able to find help file about this after trying, so I just want to make sure I understand correctly the way it works: will the FME Desktop publish its desktop settings to FME server? or it is my misunderstanding?Thank you!

Hello,we used to deploy FME in silent mode using a so called NOVELL Zenworks Bundle. This worked fine up to version 2015. Since version 2016 we are having the following problems:1.) Novell Zenworks is not able to install the msi-file any more. It shows an undefined error.2.) Installing FME using msiexec on the client computer is possible in silent mode, but when you start FME the EULA-window and the FME Desktop Licensing Assistant window pop up, what we'd like to avoid because our students should no be forced to make any input in these windows.We use the parameters:qnINSTALLLEVEL 3ENABLE_POST_INSTALL_TASKS no Does anyone else have the same problem?Roland

I want to install the latest FME version, but (I assume to store temporary installation files) it tries to get acces to a location I do not have access to. I added FME_TEMP, but (for this purpose) does not make sense. Also modified TEMP and TMP environment variables to a directory I definitely have access to, but that also didn't help. Which environment variable is used to specify the temporary directory to store the installation files?

I have recently switched from a floating license to a fixed license and the licensing assistant is still picking up my old floating license. What can I do to resolve this?

Hello,  FME Server only seems to display a maximum of 100 scheduled tasks. We've got more than 100 defined so some are missing - is there any way to access these in the backend to edit them?  Thanks,  Peter.

I just downloaded the FME Desktop Trial, but I didn't get my trial serial number to license the trial. How can I find it?
