Hello everybody,

unfortunately, all FME apps (workbench, inspector, licensingmng atc.) are not able to open after its start. I tried to start FME on another server to server with floating licence. If I tried to start via FME API, it showed me this message:

ERROR 2017-12-15 08:51:54,392 FmeInvokerCore [FmeInvoker] - Error Safe.FMEObjects.FMEOException: FME floating license system failure: cannot connect to license server(-15)

ERROR 2017-12-15 08:51:54,392 FmeInvokerCore [FmeInvoker] - FmeErrorNumber:-1

If I tried to start FME on licencing server, it runs without problem.

I checked also this article https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/543/floating-license-troubleshooting.html, but no advice helped :-(

Please, does anybody have any tip, how to solve this problem?

Thank You so much!

Lubo

Hi @lazarlubomir,

From your screenshot, it appears port numbers has not been specified. Please see this article for instructions on how to specify port numbers used by FlexLM:

Kind regards,

UPDATE:

Loading of every FME apps (workbench, inspector, LA etc.) takes very long time (e.g. 20 minutes). Window of licence assistant is opened after loading and when I put the name of licencing server there, it takes another 5 minutes to make a request to licence server. After this long time license manager gives a message "The license service(s) tested on server XXX (XXX) do not appear to offer FME licenses." But if I start FME workbench on license server, everything is ok and fast, licenses are issued according to LMTOOLS. I attached the pic with printscreen containing all messages from unsuccessful connecting to license server. Do you have any tips please, how to solve problems with slow loading and license activating? We tried to do things according to this link: https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/543/floating-license-troubleshooting.html.
