Transformers

This is my workspace, it adds elevation to lake polygons and river lines from a DEM. Lakes are calculated by clipping the raster and getting median elevation, meanwhile river lines are draped onto a surface. Most of the time my data does not contain any lines, but the SurfaceDraper still creates a surface, which can take a while - is there a way to improve performance by preventing the SurfaceDraper from doing anything unless it receives at least one DrapeFeature?

Has anybody attempted a nearest neighbour with breaklines/obstacles? It's not as simple as creating zones and assigning an ID to to use as a group-by in the NeighborFinder. Consider a lake where the distance has to go around the lakeshore instead of as the crow flies.

I try to tranform the cityGML to CityGrid XML. The CityGML have surface of roof, wall and texture - when I try to tranform to CityGrid XML - just a roof is ok about geometry and texture. But when I tranform a roof+wall of the building - the texture is wrong in almost building.

Hello, I am trying to create a workflow in order to transform a dwg to a cityGML file and later to import it into a 3D citygml database. I have tried to find an example online doing something similar but I had no luck. Hi there! The attribute is composed of concatenated values. When I test if the concatenated values work as a regex, it succeeds: But when I try and use the created attribute, it doesn't match. I would love your input, please.

Hello everybody, because of specific demand I have to use JSON templater -> TXT writer workflow. But, when I need to export values true/false as boolean data type, JSON templater still put me there quotation marks for values true/false - so result is "True" or "False". Please, has anybody idea, how to figure it out to write bool values without quotation marks? Thank You so much! Lubo

Hi All I am trying to convert a grey-scale raster (TIFF file) to one where the pixel colour is based on a scale of the Band 0 value that is specified for each pixel, where green is used as the lowest value and then scales to red for the highest value. The only transformer that I found where I can set the colour is the GradedColorizer. I first used the RasterCellCoercer to get to the Ban 0 value (_band{0}.value) for each pixel and then uses in the the GradedColoriser. Once this transformer finishes its operations on the data, it gets sent to an ImageRasteriser to recreate a raster, which is then sent to a TIFF writer. The workbench file is attached here: . A test image can be found here: . The workbench however fails at the ImageRasteriser, stating INVALID_VECTOR_GEOMETRY_COLOR as reason. I must add that my understanding on raster bands are rather limited. I am trying to add solid colours to elements in a 3D model. Each element in the 3D model has an attribute where I have stored the hex code for the colour of that given element. I can't seem to get the colour to work - I have tried using the the apearance Styler followed by the appearance setter but it quite often says that the colour codes are invalid - or if they are valid nothing changes

I have tried to convert two MVT files to GeoJSON, however the coordinates are not correct, should be in Sweden but end up in Africa. Have tried multiple files with the same result. I have 4 datasets of 10 million rows each in a delimited TXT format that I am trying to transform to a MapInfo Extended TAB (point dataset). While 2 of the files transformed without issues, the other 2 were observed to have lost values for a particular field completely. This field is supposed to have a 5 digit numeric value but was left completely blank in the extended tab output. The FME log did not contain any warning and suggested that the transformation was successful. Could you please help us root cause the issue and suggest ways to avoid such data loss ? Thanks.

I have a workspace reading a FileGeoDatabase, containing coded domains, which are used on certain attributes in the featureclass. I also have a writer - File GeoDatabase FeatureClass Definition - Copy from Reader and I want to write to a NEW Table using the existing Domain. The values going to my writer are acceptable domain values I follow the stages set here - https://community.safe.com/s/article/working-with-geodatabase-subtypes-and-domains Setting coded value in the output data types and referring to the existing domain. however whenever it gets to my writer I hit - this error message: The attribute definition used is invalid for the non-existent domain 'Suitability'. For a coded value domain the proper syntax is 'coded_domain(domain_name:field_type:name_1:value_1: ... name_n:value_n)' I'm not sure what's causing this, the domain is being read fine, and is definitely present in the source data

I have a large excel file with multiple columns with different attribute information, some of these columns have information about the local authority wards, for example; Some of the rows will have a ‘Y’ against a ward or some wards that the information relates to. For each row I want to match fields that have a ‘Y’ and merge with the ward polygon file creating a polygon of the matched wards, so for the above example there with a polygon file with 4 wards. Any suggestions on the best way to approach this? Thank you in advance.

Hi, I can call a WCS by means of my browser, using a getcoverage request. The service returns a geotiff, for example, that i can save to my disk. It would be great to use FME instead. However, I only find WMS and WFS Reader. Do you know a way to do it anyway, do I have to use the HTTPcaller? Best wishes!

Hey Y'all, I'm having troubles with creating a custom transformer and its published parameters. The goal is to add a number (calculated with SQL and a chosen leading number) to different (existing) numbers. These numbers are stored in different attribute names, i.e. id, type. When I create a custom transformer with the 'id' and want to use it with the attribute 'type' it keeps calculating the 'id' OR if I edit the parameter I can't choose it from an attribute anymore. I'm stuck! A sample workspace is attached (FME 2021). Any ideas appreciated. Cheers, Maria

Hi. I have prepared a workflow that is full of many tansformers. I've tested it for just 3 Buildings and that works perfect but when I run it for a large dataset, the processing takes too much time(3 or 4 hours). Can somebody helps me to know how to reduce this time? Thanks

Hello, I have set-up a workflow that needs to be run several times using different set of input-data. The names of the input data are all the same except for a number at the end (for example: 'WSbekken_1', 'WSbekken_2' etc.). The input data is in shapefile, geodatabase and tiff format. I want to use a user parameter ("RHS_2") indicating the number of the input datasets to use and have different FeatureReaders reading the input data. I managed to get the shapefiles and tiffs read like so: but not the geodatabase because the user parameters do not seem to work in the 'Feature types to read' parameter field, which I need in the case of geodatabase. I tried the following but it is not working, in the log file I see it tries to read a file "WSbekken_" so it seems to completely ignore the "@Value($(RHS_2))". I figure I could split up my geodatabase so that I have one dataset per database and set the parameter to 'all feature types ' but I prefer not to do this. How can I do this without spli

I'm trying to build an archive off a feature service hosted in ArcGIS Online by getting the changes and writing them to a second hosted feature service. I can get the changes in JSON, but I'm struggling to turn them back into usable features. I have this Oracle database that has a trigger that automatically creates a bounding box around any feature, in this case they are parking lots. The index database stores the northernmost and southernmost latitude as well as the corresponding eastern and wester most longitude of the minimum bounding rectangle. I'm trying to crate this bounding box using FME and I'm not seeing the best way to accomplish this. My thought process: Create 4 points for the four corners of each box and then create the areas for them. Create the top left and bottom right corners of each box and then have FME figure out the polygon Find a transformer that just knows what to do with these 4 fields and then get a cup of coffee Of course the 3rd one is what I'd love to see but I'm not sure that exists. I'd rather not create a ton of points just to create a polygon but I might need to do this. Any thoughts?

When using HTTPCALLER I cannot figure out how to use the Query String Parameters. The URL ends with /1729/1774.mvt these two number are in two columns in a CSV file (attached).
