Extract the middle coordinate of a three point arc

Hi! I would like to extract the middle coordinate of a three point arc. With the ArcPropertyExtractor I only get start, end and center point coordinates. The mid point does not necessarily be in the middle of the arc, but helps to describe it, together with the start and end point.Thanks a lot!!

DXF to KML conversion problem

Hi,  I am trying to do a simple conversion of my DXF file to KML. I do the following steps:1. I launch Start > Generate Workspace.2. Select format "Autodesk AutoCAD DWG/DXF" in Reader and give path to my DXF file, and add some coordinate system.3. Select Google KML format in Writer and give output file path.4. Click Ok. and it shows some input and output boxes directly connected to each other.5. I click RUN. In the terminal I see Success in the end and the file is created.6. I open the KML in Google Earth.In Google Earth I see whole earth covered with KML lines.Can you guys help me with this please? I am using FME workbench 2017.1

Create a point on the line according to the distance from the beginning of the path.

I have the geometry of the route. And a list of stops on it. The length of the path to each of the stops is known. How do I create a point with this data?  In total my task is to apply Z to my 2D route. I have Z for each stop and a route-based distance. As I can understand TopologyBuilder can accumulate that in one 3D route, but do not know how to create that points or how to get XY for them.  Thanks for any hint!

TOMTOM POI writer failing

I'm trying to convert some data into the TOMTOM POI format, but I keep getting errors and the output file is created but not populated. LengthToPointCalculator - many points on one track

I have one track stored in MID/MIF, and a couple of points from other source. It is something like bus route with list of stops. All what I need is to know, how far from the very first stop each other bus stop is. Looks like it is a task for a LengthToPointCalculator, but I can not achieve right way how to use it.:( From what I am starting: I use two MID/MIF readers as sources - one for route, another for stops. Then I use CoordinateExtractor to get X and Y as attributes for each point. And after some alchemy we reach that LengthToPointCalc. I do not want to explain all variants I've tried, but in any case I got only zero as lengths. There are no problem to get length between every pair of sequential bus stops. But I can not imagine how to sum it after that. I will appreciate any help!

Joining housenumbers ot number intervals

Hi allI have an interesting task of joining 2 datasets: One dataset is a table with house numbers, the table has roadids, housenumbers (including letters) and an attribute that shows if the house number is an even number og uneven.The second datasat contains roadids that matches the first dataset but instead of specific house numbers the second dataset contains 2 attributes: house_number_from and house_number_to, the second dataset also has an attribute telling if the intervals are even or uneven numbers.The second dataset also has a district_id attribute.I have to join these datasets to get the district_id joined on the first dataset. I somehow have to determine if the adresses in the first datasets fall between the intervals in the second grouped by the roadidI have attached both datasets here:does anyone have an idae how to go about this?

Copy a single row into an existing ASCII file (quick way?)

Dear all,I am currently trying to expand an existing ASCII file with a single row. I have an ASCII file with X, Y, Z, R, G, B and an Intensity (Scalar field). My second ASCII file has the same X, Y, Z and Intensity but instead of R, G and B one single row, named Scalar field #2.I have both files imported as readers in CSV and connected them with an Aggregator. Now I get an ASCII file which has everything I want: X, Y, Z, R, G, B, Intensity and Intensity 2. My problem is, this task takes +40 hours, since I'm dealing with over 40.000.000 data points each row.  Is there a chance to just copy X, Y, Z, R, G, B and Scalar field from ASCII 1 to a file and extend it with Scalar field #2 from ASCII 2? Do I really have to Aggregate the whole process?Thank you in advance!

How do I loop over list elements for in python caller?

I have an aggregator transformer (to aggregate incoming features because I want a single feature to enter the subsequent Emailer transformer). I'm trying to use the python code (in PythonCaller transformer) to extract info about each of the aggregated features for output to the email. I'm using "for x in range (0, feature.getAttribute('Count')-1)" to try to loop over the lists but the workspace isn't accepting x.

Does the FeatureReader Spatial Filter work on Oracle SDE data?

I'm not sure how the FeatureReader is working when using the spatial filter on Oracle SDE data. I see the following entry in my log file:Notice - reader format `GEODATABASE_SDE' does not support querying by spatial predicate, but supports envelope queries. Distinctly identify dissolved object in a large dataset

Hi,I am working on a use case of dissolving features that are touching (or share a common boundary) and also based on certain attribute criteria that these features need to fulfill. While I was successful in doing that (I can say that by seeing samples of the output), I was also hoping if I could distinguish the actual dissolved features so that I have an accurate account of where the change happened, especially for a large dataset (a million polygons)If someone can let me know that would be greatly helpful to test my work. Use of filter in Insectors Table View

Hi,One column has 4 values 2, 12 324, 56987 (data type is number)When I use filter in Inspector (Table View) to find records with value 2 I got 3 results (2, 12 and 324)Earlier versions of Fme gave me just one result: 2.Is it a method to find just records with value 2?Thanks in advantage:)

Workflow for RGBN Geotiff to RGB PNG

Hi,I am looking to create a workflow that allows the conversion of large raster data sets from Geotiff to PNG format for use in a web based platform. Typically, this will require a transformation of individual raster tiles from a state plane coordinate system to a UTM coordinate system. The issue we are having is accounting for the rotation of the image after transformation and assigning a transparency to the no data areas that are generated. Most of the rasters we will be processing will be 32bit (8bit per channel) 4 band RGBN Geotiff orthophotography tiles. The PNG images to be created will be RGB with the near-infrared band stripped out. We do need to allow for transparency in the no data areas of each image tile. Ultimately, the PNG images will be ingested into MapProxy and displayed as a seamless mosaic. This will require the no data areas to be transparent. The FME workflow we have developed so far uses the RASTER INTERPRETATION COERCER to add an alpha band to the transfor

Conversion from .dgn to .shp

Hello,I needed to decompose my .dgn file in to .shp to get all the layers by them selves. After that, I used line closer --->>> area builder in order to finish my polygons.   That is where my problem starts. When I do this from my personal laptop I get good result and when I click on inspect, I can see that results are good, but if I try to do the same on my computer on my work, I am facing a problem that says following:"During translation, some features were read that did not match a reader feature type in the workspace. This can happen if the reader dataset is changed, or a reader feature type removed or renamed."I don't understand why am I getting this message when I did make sure that reader hasn't changed, neither was removed or renamed.   Thank You in advance for every possible help. With respect, Dejan

How do I use a conditional statement with the clipper tool?

Hi I'm a new user to FME, but I am familiar with model building. I have a process that takes LiDAR point clouds and turns them into DEMs. A branch of this process takes the outline of the initial point cloud and clips the DEM to the point cloud boundary. There are two possible point cloud outlines created by this process (depending on if there are holes in the data). How do I get the clipper to use outline A if it exists, else use outline B? I know the logic required here, I just can figure which transformers / settings / parameters to use to get this process to run

Update DWG with Excel table

Hi there. I'm trying to update the .dwg Attribute autocad_text_string with attribute values from a corresponding excel file that was created from the same .dwg and manually corrected. The xlsx file is structured in a way that each sheet represents a layer corresponding to the .dwg and the column header is named autocad_text_string.The feature merger only takes the first column value of an excel sheet and gives all other dwg attributes of that layer that same value. Do you have any suggestions how to update each features autocad_text_string with the corresponding row value from the excel file?

FME startup troubles - Floating license

Hello everybody,unfortunately, all FME apps (workbench, inspector, licensingmng atc.) are not able to open after its start. I tried to start FME on another server to server with floating licence. If I tried to start via FME API, it showed me this message:ERROR 2017-12-15 08:51:54,392 FmeInvokerCore [FmeInvoker] - Error Safe.FMEObjects.FMEOException: FME floating license system failure: cannot connect to license server(-15) ERROR 2017-12-15 08:51:54,392 FmeInvokerCore [FmeInvoker] - FmeErrorNumber:-1If I tried to start FME on licencing server, it runs without problem.I checked also this article https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/543/floating-license-troubleshooting.html, but no advice helped :-(Please, does anybody have any tip, how to solve this problem?Thank You so much!Lubo

How can i still get attribute values if one of two user parameters is left empty?

I created 3 published parameters but if one is left blank the attribute has no values. If just one or two of the three parameters is filled in the blank one has to display its standard values. How can I realize this?Update*: Before running the model the user need to fill in the parameters. Users can choose to fill in zipcodes or municipalities. If one of these parameters is left blank, the table in the dataviewer of the blank parameter has no data. If no parameters are given it won't show any data and I want all the data to be displayed when no parameters are given. The model is really simple since I created my reader with a more complicated model. I just want to give the users the possibility to get the access to the data based on location. I hope that my question is more clear now.

Scheduled job data download not included in email

I have an FME Server workbench that is registered with the data download service, and the download link is correctly included in the success email when ran on-demand. However when scheduled and linked to a default topic (DATADOWNLOAD_ASYNC_JOB_SUCCESS) that the Data Download success email is subscribed too, no download link is contained within the email.What am I missing?
