HiI'm using FME 2018.1.1.2 18586 and having weird crash errors. The app crashes apparently at random, I have taken a blank workspace and added a MapInfo file as a reader and the workbench app crashed. this happened several times. I left Workbench open for a while (maybe an hour - working on other things!) and tried again and it added successfully this timeThe odd crashes have been going on all through the 2018 releases. I only have this release installed on my machine. It seems to like to crash when using Feature Caching mode more than any other time or when using HTMLReportGenerator (which is quite annoying because this transformer is a gem)Is there any advice that anyone can give me to stop this please? FME used to be rock solid on my machine and recently it has become very buggy, to the point where it is becoming quite unusable.I've reinstalled previous versions to try and combat this issue and I am using a build that is only a few weeks old nowThanks in advanceAdrian

I have a problem with one of my workbenches. A few actually, but the most important one: It skips a part of the workbench and I have no clue as to why.  After this, it continues, but no suprise: Point on area overlay does not work without points. Problem 2: Featuremerger does not work. It simply refuses to merge 2 identical columns. The weird thing; If I use chashing and run from the featuremerge onwards it will merge and it won't skip. And then the second feuturemerger refuses to merge only a few (+/1 100 out of 3000) feutures. I get no error messages at all. I am at a total loss as to what is happening and I am getting a bit frustrated.

Dear community,I don't find a solution to my problem and hope someone can help.  To automatically create XML documents for a metadata catalog, I created a generic FME workspace. An SQL Creator serves as an initiator to a FeatureReader and all features and feature classes are received through the <Generic> Port of the FeatureReader.Because I tend to create a document for each feature class (POSTGIS table) rather than for an individual feature, I use an Aggregator to only have one feature per feature class. Important here seems to be that I use the Group By setting which groups all features by feature class (attribute fme_feature_type).After having gathered all necessary information for each deature class (like bounding box and description/title) with various transformers, the processing chain comes to the XML templater which creates the XML file document.The problem is that I have no idea how to deal with the keywords that are saved in a list attribute (array). I have a root templ

I have a workspace that uses a feature reader to read just one table from a geodatabase. I need to batch run this workspace for every feature type in the geodatabase.I created a new workspace with a schema reader and a workspace runner to run the original workspace, with the feature type populated from the fme_feature_type_name from the schema reader. The feature reader in the child workspace fails. If I hard code the feature type in the published parameter in the workspace runner in the parent workspace, the feature reader in the child workspace runs. But as I need to batch run this doesn't solve my problem.I've made a pair of sample workspaces that replicate this issue with an Excel Spreadsheet. They're here:  Is there any way to do a batch run with a feature type as a parameter that can be varied to cover the whole schema?  

Hi there!I'm using Workbench 2018. After a few weeks, out of the sudden the font of the 'Parameter Editor' and the menu of each transformer (the one you get by double click in the transformer box itself) got so tiny that I am barely able to read those texts.I would appreciate any help to get those fields back to their usual font size. I've tried with the 'FME options' in the 'Tools' menu, but it makes no difference at all.

I am reading the source file from an SFTP folder and storing it into an attribute for the purposes of later downloading the right file (as the folder read may contain various files).I use a StringSearcher transformer twice, once to identify that the files that are an xlslx and again to try and identify the date that is contained in the filename. I'll later discard the older files and only read in and store data from the newest file.The filenames are formatted like Test_Test_240519.xlslx but the logger/inspector suggests that only the first number is being returned in the destination attribute.The regex is a simple /d. I have also tried [0-9].We're currently on FME 2017.0.1.1 but will be upgrading shortly - maybe this is an old bug but it seems odd that I can't find anything about it online?

Hello,my first problem: Writing a GeoJSON in the right order. Simple example:I want a output in the order A,B,C (like I set it in the writer). But the GeoJSON file is A,C,B, because the first row in B is empty. Second Problem: When the B column is empty. Only A and C is written. How can I get an empty column in the writer? Hi all, I have an issue in new FME. I'm trying to set up User Published Parameter that will give user list of attributes available in workbench. But after choosing a Type: Attribute Name it doesn't see any attributes available. As my input I use shp files. Is it a bug or I didn't do it properly? Regards

Hi I have two tables, one with sites (2000+) and one with various Planning Allocations each with a Field specifying which it shows. The sites and allocation areas do overlap each other I need to find the percentage of each site covered by each allocation, 0 is unnecessary as an output It is expected that the percentage will exceed 100% in some cases (where a site is allocated twice) Any help with this would be great Thanks in advance Adrian

Hello all,I am trying to join lines that have the same bearing (angle) but I am finding that the orientation of some are reversed.I have created two attributes bearing and back-bearing and have been successful joining based on one or the other when they are oriented the same way, but am stumped how to join when the orientation is different. In the example below the two pink lines are the same (but reversed) angle)The above shows the bearing in the first is equal to the backbearing in the second  Any assistance would be very much appreciated.RegardsDean

I need to make an export of my data with a format like this:   I want the output to be in seperate files (fanout) based on a single row value per group I grouped the data by groups, so each group has unique attributes. How I can fanout and get the filename to be a single row attribute? ('bestandsnaam'), so in this case '504.pfrl' 

Hello, We were using fme server 2016. Now we moved to 2019. We tried it with FME REST API v 3 and it works great but my question is:  Is FME 2019 compatible with FME REST API v2? Can I communicate wit hfme 2019 using rest v2?  Thanks for help with that.

Within more than 2500 Features in one Polygon shapefile I used a SpatialRelator Transformer to find out intersected polygons followed by ListExplode Transformer. The result as following example:  My target is to select intersected features of highest related_candidates number (3 for above example). Just want to confirm when the Windows version of FME Desktop 2019.0 sends https connections from httpcaller, does it use the Windows Certificate Store or the CA Root Certificates from Mozilla? I have the impression that the Windows version is using the Windows Certificate Store. However, I saw the message "added 135 certificate(s) from CA file 'C:\\Program Files\\FME\\ssl/cacert.pem'" Thanks, 

I've got an excel spreadsheet of data with a primary key column, a foreign key column, then various other columns that may or may not contain data. I'm trying to create a single attribute that lists all of the columns/attributes that do not contain data for a given PK/FK combination (i.e., are null/empty/missing).PKFKAttribute1Attribute2Attribute31A DATADATA2ADATA  3BDATA DATA4BDATADATADATA So the output would look like this...PKFKList_of_null_attributes1AAttribute12AAttribute2, Attribute33BAttribute24B  Any ideas? Hello Team,Present i am working on the FME Version: FME(R) 2015.1.1.0 (20150715 - Build 15515 - WIN64). I could able to zip a downloaded file through HTTPcaller by using feature reader and single writer(text file) in independent workspace. Selected output as compressed Zipoutput in the writer parameters.But when i did the same thing with my master workspace which is having a custom transformers and ArcSDE writer at that time i am getting output as text file with the .zip extension which is not compressed. I assume that output just updated with .zip extension and it got corrupted. Can somebody help me to resolve the issue?? Thanks..Nagendra

Hi FME Community!My goal is to construct CityGML Terrain model (dem:TINRelief) from really accurate TIN data created with 3D modeling software.I have found certain ways to construct CityGML Terrain with FME but it always starts with generating TIN surface with the TINGenerator. I don't want to construct TIN again in FME environment. Because if I do so, the TIN is not anymore as accurate as it was in the beginning. Is there any other way to get CityGML Terrain model than generating TIN again with FME?

Hello I have just upgraded to FME Desktop 2019.1 and am getting a few errors when running a published workspace in FME Cloud.How is FME Cloud Upgraded? and is it necessary to keep the two in sync?

I have a process inside a PythonCaller that converts a long pandas dataframe into a wide dataframe that when output, has around 200 columns. The dataframes are transformed back into an fme feature for output. Now I need to expose all 200 column names but need to avoid doing this manually. Is there any way to do this from within the PythonCaller?

I upgraded FME Server to 2019.1 and my streaming services are failing. It appears that 'FME_SERVER_WEB_URL' in the request did not pick up the change when I enabled HTTPS during the install. It is still showing the original HTTP url with Port 8080 (http://SERVERNAME:8080). Is there another file besides fmeServerConfig.txt that needs to be modified? I have a distributed architecture deployment: All components are on a single machine except the Web Services component, that is on a separate machine. I upgraded from 2019.0.1 to 2019.1 and now my streaming services are not providing an output. Thanks in advance.-Mark
