Hi all, I have overlapping polygons and I am using Dissolver to avoid this. However, I would like to keep some attribute from both polygons that are overlapping in case attribute value is different. For example, those polygons have attribute calls "Side" and i would like to have list of these in case of both polygon has different value for it such as Side = W and Side = E but if both attribute Side = W and Side = W. I want to do it because in some cases i have 6 polygons are overlapping and if i generate a list regardless from the values of those attributes, I am having very long attribute list. Thanks in advance. I am looking for a way to close FME Workbench once a translation has completed. Is there an option somewhere for this, or possibly a shutdown script that could be used for this purpose?Ideally the solution would close only the current instance of FME Workbench, and leave other instances open.Thanks in advance

Our jobs pull from APIs with ever changing results. The caches WILL change. But FME 2019 won't let me re-run with feature caching on thinking that the data will be the same. It won't.

Hello, What we do is get KMZs and run the ArcGIS tool to convert them to to layers in a file GDB. When you use the layer in ArcMap there is a field PopupInfo, which has HTML data we need to extract?? I have tried several recommendation with HTML, but nothing gets me to where I can flatten the data out into a usable table. Please let me know any suggestions?

I am creating an XMLtemplate that loops through all the id\\value pairs in a list and creates an XMLelement for each. I got the looping working after reading through some of @takashi's post replys, but the $i variable is not getting passed correctly into the fme:get-attribute function on the list number. Am I going about this wrong? Hi there... Sorry about my English. I'm trying to translate survey drawings made in Autodesk Civil 3D 2017 and 2019 to GDB using CoGoPoints and Survey Figures. For CoGoPoints no problems at all, but Survey Figures are not supported at my FME ESRI Desktop 2017.0.0.1.If the Survey Figure is supported by FME Desktop 2018 or newest, I will ask to my company for a software update, if not I need change my strategy. Thanks in advance! Demetrius

I have a Point dataset and a Polygon Dataset they on ESRI file Geodatabase format.I have over 700 circles and 7million PointsPoint Data contain Premise Count , so I will require to sum up all Premises by each Circle and assign that number to each circle, including overlappingI have used Spatial Relater/Spatial Filter/Clipper none of them give me the correct answer. I published a project to FME Server and am utilizing the 'Workspace Sharing' function so that Users do not have to authenticate for this particular project. When they click the Sharing Link, the screen display 'FME SERVER' at the top. Is it possible to modify the 'branding / splash page' to utilize our utility name and logo to ensure the employees that they are within a secure trusted internal site??

Hello FME community,I have a fairly complex series of workspaces that dynamically harvest, validate and write featuretypes. We harvest using WFS and online GML.I have an issue where in FME Desktop (2018.1.2-b18590) the FeatureReader reads both the schema and the features, but in FME Server (2019.0-b19238) it doesn't create a schema feature in the gml FeatureReader, so when I want to dynamically write to my database it doesnt recieve a schema feature.The XSD and the GML are findable and downloadable by FME Server. The steps to reproduce this behaviour is to run it in Desktop, publish it FME Server.See attached an isolated Workspace to show my problem with the logfile saying in FME Server: 103 INFO Merged 0 schema features read from 1 datasets into 0 resulting feature types104 WARN UniversalReader -- readSchema resulted in 0 schema features being returned105 WARN Reader Parameter(0) = >https://geotest.drenthe.nl/website/ngr/am.xml168 WARN Reader Directive(..)176 WARN UniversalReader -

I have a dwg circa 1998 that contains among other things contours and spot elevations. All of these features exis in 3d within the dwg I have confirmed this using AutoCAD viewer as well as the FME inspector. The only place I see the elevation value is in the coordinates section in FME Inspector. I would like to covert these features to a shapefile and capture the elevation as an attribute but don't know how to expose this elevation value.

Authentication fails when attempting to connect to ESRI ArcGIS Online feature service writer. After entering organizational credentials for AGOL, the error states "Failed to Obtain Refresh Token: Error retrieving access token". The translation log reads "java.lang.NoSuchFieldError:INSTANCE". I experienced this problem with FME desktop ESRI Edition v2017.0 and after upgrading to 2017.1 the issue still persists.

Hi, I'm trying to expose attributes from a JSON file using JSONFragmenter and it's working perfectly fine for all attributes except one which is stored in [] brackets. This is an example of how the JSON is structured:  [{"id":"5cad42","nummer:"697582","name":"place name","position":[51.51146259999999,11.5696619],"status":false}]  And once I have exposed the attributes I see all values except "position" value is missing, so I assume it has something to do with the [] brackets.  These are the JSONFragmenter Parameters:  Should something be changed here? I know it must be easy :) Thank you! Cheers,Linda

 HI there. I'm fairly new to FME and very new to the 2019 version. I know that ChangeDetector has undergone a revamp and so I have replaced my updateDetector transformer with it. I have read that you can use an optional feature in the Parameters box which will generate a list of the changes that have been detected between datasets. I've added a List Name but i'm unsure where to view this list? Does anyone have any ideas? I've checked in the attribute table for the Updated output layer but there is nothing in there. Thanks for your help!

I'm using the Data Interoperability extension and I'm attempting to read in a csv file that has a column with a string of coordinates in it. I've tried loading it into the Spatial ETL Tool CSV reader, using the coordinate concatenator and then the area builder. I get a rejected feature warning when I try running the tool. Can anyone offer some pointers for this?

Is it possible to keep the order of the query fields when you get the attributes using 'Populate from SQL Query...'? I use it very often and the attributes are ordered alphabetically instead of the order in the query.Thank you

Hello All, I am using API for retrieving data, post call need be formatted to specific format I have used template to create and upload by post call in HTTPCaller. Template created from ESRI Shapefile it is working fine. The problem that everything is being loaded into the JSON upload body. But i would like it to be split by e features before it hits the HTTPCaller. If the count is limited it is working but with heavy data API get overloaded so I would like to hit one by one does any one have solution how could I can be done please find attached FME Workbench for reference.

Hi,I have a big workspace that can potentially stop at different steps because the workspace is going through multiple readers and some of them can have no features.Is there a way to execute a SQL script whenever the workspace is stopping ?The goal of this script is to check some integrity rules in the database (Postgres).Maybe the python shutdown script could do that but maybe there is a simpler way.Thank you for any help.

I can turn off the Visual Preview after running one FMW. However when I run the workbench again the Visual Preview is checked again and the window is displayed against my wishes. It is as if it ignored my preference for having it off, or the selection gets overridden.Now I have an Inspector object in the workbench and the Visual Preview setting stays unchecked as long as I run the workbench with it disabled or unconnected. But when it is connected or enabled the Visual Preview always presents itself even though I have unchecked it on the last run.As a tangent, is there any way to launch the Data Inspector application and bypass the Visual Preview window? In some cases I don't want the Visual Preview to take up some of the overall window or have it take the memory/cpu to process a preview for 100,000 or so features.Thanks,Pete
