I have an MXD that has all the layers (3 feature classes) reading from one file geodatabase. I would like FME to change the "Data Source" in the MXD from one geodatabase to another geodatabase. Can FME do this?Thanks

Hello all.I require some guidance and clarification.I need to develop an application that would automatically translate input data to another output format, e.g., test.dgn into test.shpI have installed FMEServer and uploaded my workspace which does the work.I have managed to upload an input file from my pc to my uploaded workspace in the FMEServer by using your javascript demo application.However, my issue is that in reality my input files will be located in the Microsoft Azure Storage, and the workspace in FMEServer should be automatically triggered to run the process when it gets a call from my application with input link or when it sees that a new file where uploaded in Azure storage.I have tested my workspace by manualy pasting in the file shared access link (URL link) from Azure blob container as an input value, and the workspace ran successfully.I have read a bunch of articles about directories watch, and HTTPCaller, and as I am very new in the field, I got very confused.Question

I'm trying to licence a new installation of FME Server, but I keep getting these errors if I upload or request a new licence respectively. I'm sure my license file is valid. Whats going on?The license file failed to uploadLicense request did not succeed   

Hi guys, I have an integer attribute containing all node_ids. I need to split those ids apart. The number of integers for all ids is similar (e.g. 7 integers). I came to this attribute by extracting the ids of the child nodes from a json file. I used this expresion (json["data"][*]["id"]), I used the * here because I have so many ids and I need them all. The result is one attribute with all node ids without any seperation between them (which i could have used to split them). So, the result e.g. is as following (72523657255486725577872521357256895). I know that I can use the attribute splitter to seperate them as the following picture but I need to be able to split them using some kind of expersion which split each 7 integers at once because I might have handreds of ids and it is not practical to keep counting them and then use 7s equivalent to their number. Therefore, my question is: Is there a way to add a comma or semicolon between the node ids when I extract them

I performed an upgrade of FME Server from 2018.1 to 2019, Windows 64 bit Server Express installation. Post install, I can get to the FME Server GUI but cannot log in to it. I want to create a high-resolution image from the WMS. If I set the parameters Height and With to 4000 it works well. With the value 5000 I get a time out. "HTTP/FTP transfer error: 'Timeout was reached' " In the WFS-FeatureReader is a parameter, where I can define the timeout. I can't find one in WMS-Reader. I am looking forward to here from you. Heike

I currently have JSON objects that are returning in FME very well. During the migration there are approx. 1,500 updates that need to be ran changing coded values to a description for storage in a data warehouse. This can be accomplished running an update that is prepopulated then passed to the "Update" port on the updater.replace(xs:string($x(fme:get-attribute("FIELD_NAME"))),xs:string(fme:get-attribute("code")),fme:get-attribute("name"))The issue is running 1,500 updates on 2,000 records takes 12+ minutes. The question is, is there a way to get the JSON Updater to updated multiple replacements at the same time. I have attempted to use the JSON Node updates and get errors.Attached is a simplified version where I am attempting to change json["features"]["attributes"]/ASSETGROUP from 1,2,3,4 to One, Two, Three, Four where there is a match. Thanks in advanced!! 

I have multiple spreadsheets that are emailed to a specific address and stored to a file folder. All of these sheets will contain slightly different headers, however, every spreadsheet will at least have a common identification attribute.Is there a way I can build a workbench to read through all of these excel files to search and extract this ID number from all excel files? I'm working with two sets of data with nearly identical, but not quite matching, IDs. Ideally I'd like to join together rows where:|requester_id - supplier_id| < 0.1Is there any way within FME to accomplish this? Only way I can think of is to do a cartesian join and filter the results, but for this data the cartesian join would result in billions of rows and I'd like to avoid that.

I made a workspace to automatically download spatial information from an API using the HTTPCaller. The API replies with a .zip file, with .shp files within these .zip files. In this workspace I want to unzip the API’s response and import the shapefiles into my PostGIS database. I use the unzipper to unzip the shapefiles and the tester to filter the .shp files. I use the AttributeKeeper to filter all the unused attributes. Then I want to use the “windows_path” attribute as a data source for the FeatureReader (in this case its 23 different .shp files). My goal is to write each shapefile into my database dynamically using the fme_feature_type as Table Name. It has to be dynamical since I want to use this workspace to download different datasets from the API.My workspace doesn't work no matter what I try, and i don't know what I'm doing wrong.When I open the FeatureReader, it looks like this: When I run this it shows no attributes, since I still have to expose them all.I tried

In Build 18590 32 bit I am getting the error retrieving connections message when attempting to establish web or database connections. I am on Windows 10 and this is a new install of FME but I had FME 2017 64 bit previously installed on this machine temporarily but never used it.

The where clause woks perfectly in a sql Script but when I use it for a Reader if fails to filter the dataset.Am I missing some syntax?Has anyone got examples of where clause syntax for a Reader?

I also tried the drop down options (Whole/Value), tag #text and the result for the transformer is a feature with null value. Any ideas?

I cannot get hyperlinks to work when using a dynamic excel writer using schema. This is how I hook the hyperlink up to the file_path field.Basically just creating a new attribute as suggested in the manual: file_path.hyperlinkI get no errors but there are no hyperlinks in the written excel-file.Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Hi,I'm having problem writing polylines that consists of arcs and lines in AutoCAD. It seems it only happens when using Reprojector or similar. While writing arc part of polyline gets stroked in AutoCAD. Does anyone have any idea what am I missing? Cheers,Želimir
