Hoping someone can help me out. I have a geometric network of wells, pipelines and facilities. I have already ran a custom ArcHydro python script to break the pipelines up at every junction point and give the pipelines unique HydroIDs, ToNodes, FromNodes and NextDownIDs (which indicates which pipeline, AKA HydroID, to flow to next). The wells produce water and I can add the monthly production values from the wells to the adjacent pipeline using the Bufferer and SpatialFilter transformers.  I'm now trying to find a way to add the production through the rest of the pipelines. I have NextDownIDs, which I thought I could maybe just group the pipelines by all pipelines that share the same NextDownID field and add the production values in the Water_Production fields together, however this adds the values incorrectly because it doesn't add the pipelines in order from well (source) to facility (sink). Does anyone have an idea of how I can use FME to add the production values up correct

New user here so be patient! I would like to remove from a KML all the geometry (point, lines and areas) that are outside of an arbitrary bounding box (let's say a square defined by the corner coordinates). I tried using a Tester but I can't seem to get the numerical values of the of the placemark. With the following parameter I get always "passed" even if the points coordinates don't respect the condition:Moreover this approach will be problematic for lines and areas. I tried multiple transformers but with no success. So does anyone have a suggestion on what will be the best approach for filtering this data? Thanks!

Hello community,I have a folder with all .mdb files that I want to process independently. Therefore I am using a 'directory and file pathnames' reader together with a workspace runner. So every file is send to another workbench, where it will be processed.In this 'other' workbench I have a 'Microsoft Access' reader, with the 'Single Merged Feature Type' box switched on. When I select the table name myself it works all perfectly. However, here comes the trick. The table names that I am using are different for each incoming file. For example the table name for file 1 could be trees_abc, for file 2 monumental_trees_abc and for file 3 tree_export_abc.The table names have one thing in common. They contain the word tree and always end with _abc. This regular expression should catch all the possibilities: ^(\\w+|)tree\\w+_abc (so it has the word tree somewhere and always ends on _abc). Hello FME friends, I have a question about system path variables and how that translates to FME server.I downloaded the Google cloud Storage connector from FME HUB. I'm using a Google service account along with a service account, JSON key file. Part of the configuration is to set the windows environment variable GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS to a JSON key file I downloaded from Google Cloud Console.The package works flawlessly in FME workbench on my workstation. I would like to now publish a workflow to FME server, but am scratching my head trying to figure out how to deal with the environment variable GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS and how that translates to FME server. I assume the .JSON key file for this Google service account needs to be on FME server somewhere, but how do I tell FME server that the environment variable points to the .JSON file on an FME server resource folder? Thank you!

I've got some features and one of their attribute is a sequence of number or number with letter such as A001, A002... Now some of numbers are miss from sequence due to editting was performed. Is there a way to find out miss numbers and asign them to newly created feature from North to South, West to East?

Hi, I tried to use Directory and File Pathnames and FeatureReader to control workflow, I used Directory and File Pathnames linked to a gdb file, then put a Tester after it, connected passed port to FeatureReader. But it seems that gdb was treated as folder, every file in picture below was passed to FeatureReader, as result all feature were read muti-times instead of one, how can I set parameters right to get what I want? Or else, how can I control workflow if I don't want some gdbs to be read in fmt?

Hi Experts,I am merging many csv files into one and I want to get the name of the input file in an attribute 'filename'. I am using FileNamePartExtractor for this purpose and its working correct with single input. But, when I use this with multiple files, it takes the name of the last input file and shows in all the rows. Can anyone help me with where I am going wrong!!

Hello, I have an Timestamp attribute in UTC time (e.g. 20180311013252.000). I would like to create a new attribute converting the UTC Timestamp to EST/EDT Time. After that both attributes should be transformed to %Y%m%d. In this example the output should be 20180311 for UTC and 20180310 for EDT/EST.

Hello, I am trying to solve the problem with dangling roads in the network. Given the input of the roads, I simply ran it like this:  I assumed that the topologyBuilder would give me _node_angle{}, _node_angle{}.fme_arc_id and everything else, as per the docs,as the edges are perfect, but it seems that there is a challenge somewhere, as only _node_number is shown.

Hi, I am using FME Desktop 2015.1.I am running a process which includes a LineOnAreaOverlayer which I suspect is the source of the message, within the log window I get a message' Hit data-shattering case as 6463 new nodes were created after phase 2, compared to 1 nodes created after phase 1.' What does Data-Shattering mean within the context of the calculation factory process? In essence I am interested to know if this is something I need to worry about and attempt to mitigate somehow? If any given feature which has experienced data shattering within a transformer, is the output result from that tramsformer correct? Or has some sort of calculation collapse occurred and the result may be incorrect?I realise that data shattering may occur at a feature level and not necessarily to all feature which enter a transformer. Thanks in advance, Rob 

I would like to create new attributes for all features with a value of null. The tricky part is that the number of these attributes and their names is not known before running the workflow. The names have to be equal to the feature values provided by some part of the workflow. I attach an image of what I am trying to do: I am feeding the AttributeCreator with the main table (the one where I want to have new attributes --or columns -- with null values) and with the UnmergedRequestor of the Feature Merger. The feature values of SimWaterBodies_FN (the output of the UnmergedRequestor) are supposed to be the names of the new attributes (2 in this case) of the table. I have tried by setting @Value(SimWaterBodies_FN) as the New Attribute and null as the Attribute Value of the Attribute Creator, but this doesn't create the 2 columns with same length of the main Table. Here is a simple example of what I am trying to do: Let's say this is the main Table initially:  When I run my workflow

HiI'm using FME 2018.1.1.2 18586 and having weird crash errors. The app crashes apparently at random, I have taken a blank workspace and added a MapInfo file as a reader and the workbench app crashed. this happened several times. I left Workbench open for a while (maybe an hour - working on other things!) and tried again and it added successfully this timeThe odd crashes have been going on all through the 2018 releases. I only have this release installed on my machine. It seems to like to crash when using Feature Caching mode more than any other time or when using HTMLReportGenerator (which is quite annoying because this transformer is a gem)Is there any advice that anyone can give me to stop this please? FME used to be rock solid on my machine and recently it has become very buggy, to the point where it is becoming quite unusable.I've reinstalled previous versions to try and combat this issue and I am using a build that is only a few weeks old nowThanks in advanceAdrian

I have a problem with one of my workbenches. A few actually, but the most important one: It skips a part of the workbench and I have no clue as to why.  After this, it continues, but no suprise: Point on area overlay does not work without points. Problem 2: Featuremerger does not work. It simply refuses to merge 2 identical columns. The weird thing; If I use chashing and run from the featuremerge onwards it will merge and it won't skip. And then the second feuturemerger refuses to merge only a few (+/1 100 out of 3000) feutures. I get no error messages at all. I am at a total loss as to what is happening and I am getting a bit frustrated.

Dear community,I don't find a solution to my problem and hope someone can help.  To automatically create XML documents for a metadata catalog, I created a generic FME workspace. An SQL Creator serves as an initiator to a FeatureReader and all features and feature classes are received through the <Generic> Port of the FeatureReader.Because I tend to create a document for each feature class (POSTGIS table) rather than for an individual feature, I use an Aggregator to only have one feature per feature class. Important here seems to be that I use the Group By setting which groups all features by feature class (attribute fme_feature_type).After having gathered all necessary information for each deature class (like bounding box and description/title) with various transformers, the processing chain comes to the XML templater which creates the XML file document.The problem is that I have no idea how to deal with the keywords that are saved in a list attribute (array). I have a root templ

I have a workspace that uses a feature reader to read just one table from a geodatabase. I need to batch run this workspace for every feature type in the geodatabase.I created a new workspace with a schema reader and a workspace runner to run the original workspace, with the feature type populated from the fme_feature_type_name from the schema reader. The feature reader in the child workspace fails. If I hard code the feature type in the published parameter in the workspace runner in the parent workspace, the feature reader in the child workspace runs. But as I need to batch run this doesn't solve my problem.I've made a pair of sample workspaces that replicate this issue with an Excel Spreadsheet. Hi there!I'm using Workbench 2018. After a few weeks, out of the sudden the font of the 'Parameter Editor' and the menu of each transformer (the one you get by double click in the transformer box itself) got so tiny that I am barely able to read those texts.I would appreciate any help to get those fields back to their usual font size. I've tried with the 'FME options' in the 'Tools' menu, but it makes no difference at all.

I am reading the source file from an SFTP folder and storing it into an attribute for the purposes of later downloading the right file (as the folder read may contain various files).I use a StringSearcher transformer twice, once to identify that the files that are an xlslx and again to try and identify the date that is contained in the filename. I'll later discard the older files and only read in and store data from the newest file.The filenames are formatted like Test_Test_240519.xlslx but the logger/inspector suggests that only the first number is being returned in the destination attribute.The regex is a simple /d. I have also tried [0-9].We're currently on FME 2017.0.1.1 but will be upgrading shortly - maybe this is an old bug but it seems odd that I can't find anything about it online?
