There is no PointCloud element in the Python API and I can't find any function or factory to do it. Has anyone found a way (apart from parsing the log)?

I would like to hide half of my transformer in one workspace and do password for half of workflow so User will not be able to show the whole work .I mean ,for the same workspace ,I want to make security password to appear the whole workspace .But without password ,user can open the work space but it does not show him the whole work space till he write password to show the whole work .Do we have a method to do that

I have a DXF file containing many feature types, including points, polylines, polygons, text etc. I want to extract the polylines into a shapefile of polyline geometry, and the points into a points shapefile.  I am having a hard time finding the transformer(s) needed to carry out this simple task.  Can someone please point me in the right direction? Regards, Ben

Currently ,i am trying to create user parameter in shared parameter linked with excel file.  i have an excel file ,it includes id number and names of building , i want to create user parameter when i write the number ,it wiill read automatic which names that i want to work on from specific excel file ,then it starts scanning or searching for this excel file in specific folder that include the same name and import ths excel file to workspace . Thanks in advance

I am using SQL executor to perform insert command to insert table data into Oracle. I have a column with geometry and data type as SDO_Geometry in already existing oracle table. The current geometry I want to insert into oracle is in UTM format. I have converted it using geometry replacer and reprojector in my workspace.SQL Executor is throwing an error with too long string literals and can not be inserted.What is the way that I can insert geometry column with UTM coordinates into Oracle SDO_Geometry column?

Here I am trying to get the sequence before writing data into oracle. All I need to do is to start this sequence with the value of 5000000000.As we can use this in insert function - "insert into nb (XFM_ID) values(XFM_ID_SEQ.NEXTVAL + 5000000000)"But this is not working in FME. I tried all possible ways to insert sequence starting from 5000000000 like using sql creator,executor etc. Sequenced Table columns does not accept " XFM_ID:XFM_ID_SEQ.NEXTVAL+5000000000"

Hello, I'm using attributevalidator to make multiple check on attributes. There is one check I don't know how to implement. I would like to hightlight the attributes finishing with newline. I used this regex : [^(\\n)]$ . It is working when I use external tools (for example (https://regexr.com/ ), but not in FME. I didn't find any other regex to do that (I'm a beginner in regex).In case, there is one other solution : using tester/attributecreator, but if possible, I would like to gather all the tests in the same transformer to make the workflow as simple as possible (the workflow contains a lot of attribute / spatial tests) Thank you  

When copy/pasting SQL code into the SQLCreator SQL statement editor (2018.1) specific characters are replaced by others, e.g. '}' becomes '%7D'. This doesn't happen using the 2017.0 version.How can I make it work in the 2018.1 version?

We are running FME Workbench 2019.1 and FME Server 2019.1.2 on Windows Server 2016 Standard. On the same server, we have ArcGIS Desktop 10.6.1 and ArcGIS Server 10.6.1. The Desktop license is running off a concurrent License Manager on another server. We have the ArcGIS Desktop license set to Advanced on ArcGIS Administrator.This setup has worked fine until about 4 days ago. Now many of our FME services are failing. The workbenches run fine. An excerpt from the log on one FME service is shown below. I have already exhausted my search for solutions. I am considering trying to install ArcGIS Pro on the server, though I would prefer not to. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Hey Everyone,I have had some challenges creating apps in FME Server that have published user parameters that are as robust as Workbench. I wasn't sure if it was just a limitation of FME Server as of 2019 or if I am doing something wrong.For example, if my workbench parameter needs a user to select a Coordinate System Name, it is very easy to find the CS you need:On the other hand, on an FME Server App the search functionality is unable to find my CS and it it giving way less results to scroll through. If I knew the EPSG code I'm guessing it would be fine but I'm thinking in my users' shoes who need to type in more broad terms like "texas". In the App, searching texas doesn't bring up any NAD27 CS choices at all. It is a similar situation with folder/file locations. I was hoping this folder selection view would be similar in the app as well. Does anyone have any thoughts? Is this more of an idea for improvements?

Hi folkswhen i try a translation from DWG to a GIS format, i encounter that message : FATAL |Incompatible visitor version 1 in FMEOrientedArc::acceptGeometryVisitorConst. This release of FME is compatible with versions 6 to 6 I tried many ways to solve it, GeometryValidator, Orientor, but the message still remainsthe DXF file is hudge, so i can't attach to the message ...regards

Hello everyone,I am attempting to copy a select number of files from a given directory and came across the FileCopy writer. After experimenting with it, it appears that it is copying all the files specified in the source directory whereas I would like to specify which ones it copies instead. Can anyone confirm this limitation in the writer? And of course, I would be very happy to hear any ideas and workarounds for this. I am considering using PythonCaller to accomplish this but I would like to avoid this if at all possible.

I am trying to find a method for reader to link between many sources to one source but i could not find . i have many readers come from the same source when i run my workbench with quick translator ,as result it gives me around 10 sources to select but 8 of them from one source , bcs i have chosen from the beginning individual Feature typesis there a method to refer only to one source files instead of 8 sources . because all of them from the same file  

Hi, I'm trying to practice with spatial thinking, and I have a set of lines that I want to merge to a single point in the middle (see attached). The way I want to these lines merge into the point, is to use the nearest point of the line to the point in the middle of all the lines, and making the lines longer than they were previously, not just snapping them and moving them.
