Hi, I have an excel table with over 100 folder, lets say for example   folder  C:\\data\\1a\\z  C:\\data\\1b\\z   C:\\data\\2a\\z   C:\\data\\2b\\z       that I read in my main.fmw workspaceand I want to send it to another workspace that is named edit.fmw for example. In each folder I know there is many dwg, but I want to open the one in the subfolder that ends with ....03.dwg because that is always the terrain file in all folders.I want to1. Read excel2. Find the name of the dwg in each folder3. Send it to my other workspace and open it with a reader to do other stuff with. Any ideas?I basically need help with how to set up the workspacerunner and since I dont want to manually find and enter the name of the correct dwg is there a way to test/search for a file in that folder that ends with a specific string? I have looked at pathreader but that only reads dwg--> find metadatafiles and filepath but I want the other way around, folder-->list of all files.

Hi, I have an issue with a workspace that reads from AGOL and, among other things, writes to an SDE. The workspace completes successfully, but then returns an error – as below: Translation was SUCCESSFULError running translation. This isn’t so much of an issue on desktop – as the features are written correctly, but on Server (it’s destined to be a nightly scheduled task) that final error is enough to restart the workspace – ad infinitum. I have narrowed the issue down to the SDE Writer and have tried many ‘solutions’, without success. These include:Replacing the SDE Writer with a Feature WriterConverting the SDE Feature Class to non-relationalCommitting transactions at the end of writeVarious transaction typesAudit logging (no additional details on the final error)etc Currently running FME Desktop 2018.1.2.1 (32bit) on Windows 7. Any help and advice would be welcome. Thanks,Mark

We've just upgraded an FME server from 2018.1 to 2019. When running any of the workbenches that have the python interpreter set to "ESRI ArcGIS Desktop (Python 2.7)" the FME engine mysteriously crashes and restarts the job when it hits the python code. I cannot find any reason for this. If I switch it to the Python 3.7 interpreter the workspace fails with a python error, which I'd expect because its the wrong python version, but at least the server engine doesn't restart itself. Has anyone seen this behaviour and any idea what could be causing it? Using 64-bit FME, 64-bit python and 64-bit ArcGIS.

Hi there, We have a a problem reading a WFS with FME Workbench 2019.0. (ArcGIS Pro). We're using two datasets, If we check the data in ArcGIS Pro both datasets have overlap and the same coordinate system: When we read the same data in FME using the default coordinate reference system, we see the following: According to the translation log the following happened:FME Configuration: Using ESRI Reprojection Engine CS-MAP Reprojector: Transformation will be automatically selected for 'LL84' -> 'EPSG:23031', and is not guaranteed to remain the same in future releases of FME Reprojector: Using transformation `ERP50-W_to_WGS84,Inverse(Multiple Regression)' when reprojecting from LL84 to EPSG:23031 We tried to use the Reprojector and the EsriReprojector to change the coordinate reference system without success. Also changing the coordinate reference system in the reader itself was not successful. Help or advice would be highly appreciated. 

Hi there! I am working on a specific analysis. This analysis needs to calculate 13 000 ha of parcels (area) randomly and then assign a new attribute value to this. Right now I have the following workflow:I thought I could make this work by calculating the percentage and then use the Sampler to randomly select parcels, but this doesn't work because the sum of ha does not add up. What I am looking for is a tool that allows me to use the following formula:"Random amount of parcels added up" = 13 000 haSo I guess it is a randomized sampler using a certain value based on attribute values. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? Thank you so much in advance!

Hi guys,I have a table with an attribute 'Ingebruikname'.This field contains a year, month and day and info in hours. For example: 2019-01-11T13:05:00.000. I created a regular expression to select only the part with information about year, month and day. Like:2019-01-11T13:05:00.000I would like to get my attribute 'Ingebruikname' updated to records with only date infromation as shown in bolt. Records with no data for 'Ingebruikname' should be included as well and left empty.Do you have any ideas how to solve?  

Hi there, I've a problem with AIXM data. I try to translate AIXM data to gkpg (he problem is the same with another writer format : shp, postgis...). It only works when I translate AIXM to gml ............Some attributes are missing like the information regarding the volume information for the Airspaces (upper/lower limit....).What is the setting to get all the attributesCan someone help me please ?

Hi community. I am looking to improve some workbenches and have them slightly more automated.The one I am currently working on revolves around some height of building data and is extracting the class from a string (example below). Currently I am using the AttributeValueMapper to convert this out manually but would be fantastic if there was a way to do this without setting it manually (if new data/classes are added we don't need to come back in and edit the Values to map.This is a screenshot of what is coming out of the AttributeValueMapper. The Condition attribute is the Source Value and the lay_class attribute is the destination value.The class I am extracting is the capital letters (one with number, but there will be more in the future) towards the end of the string. I know there is a regex expression to extract uppercase letters which is the closest to an automated solution that I have found (the condition includes more than one uppercase character) so it may be a combo of that

I want to write "total transfer time" to the destination as an attribute. When i process feature through "http caller" for each feature fme log writes "Total transfer time" in Log window. But this data I cannot extract, but somehow fme is getting this duration time, i need this time to write to destination. I have the following FGDB as reader. It works in FME Desktop 2019.1 but will fail and get Arcobject error when published in FME server 2019.1. It looks like that FMEserver 2019 cannot handle space inside the file path. \\\\enervest\\shared\\ArcGIS\\GIS\\Geoscience Technology\\Raw Vendor Data\\Rextag\\Temp\\Rextag_Crude_Oil\\Rextag_Crude_Oil.gdb Received arcobject error when running the job on FME server: Unable to connect to the File Geodatabase at '\\\\enervest.net\\shared\\ArcGIS\\GIS\\Geoscience'. Make sure the correct filename was specified, and that the geodatabase wasn't saved with a newer version of ArcGIS than the one installed locally. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147024893'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {} This is not good since I have not seen this problem in FME 2018.

Hi, I am currently facing an issues in which I cannot access objects within a AutoCAD file. The AutoCAD file contains 3D objects from Civil 3D that can be seen in AutoCAD with the object enabler plug-in from Autodesk. However, I cannot seem to be able to find the geometry or the features while reading the .dwg file using FME. My hypothesis is that FME does not recognize the content since it basically is unknown for a standard set up of AutoCAD. However, once the object enabler plug-in is installed, the content can be read in AutoCAD. Anyone else had similar issues and could point me in the right direction? Thanks,Adam

I'm sure this is an easy fix, but I have a workspace that is being run by WorkspaceRunner. A different shapefile is reading in from the runner each time using the Path Reader. When I run the WorkspaceRunner the child workspace is not running. I have used this setup before and it's worked perfectly. I can't figure out why it's not on this occasion. I've attached both workspaces. Thanks for any help. B

Hi, I know there are already threads about inserting images into Excel spreadsheets but I could not find a solution for my problem yet. In my workspace I create an image with MapnikRasterizer and a table, both of which I would like to write to Excel. For that purpose I created a template that is used in the writer. I define the cell location for the image in an AttributeManager but in the output it overlaps the table instead of being inserted into the defined cell. I'm sure there is some writer setting I'm setting up incorrectly but I just can not figure out which one. Example workbench and template are attached. Thanks for any help!

Hi all, I have some troubles reading an ifc-File with FME 2018.1. I’m able to read all of the ifc-types except of IfcWindows and IfcWallStandardCase. When I read these feature types, I get memory issues and the workspace process fails with the message “Failed to free sufficient memory to reach the process usage limit”. The file is not that big (182MB) and I run it on a machine with 32GB RAM. I guess the problem is associated with the CSG Evaluation of the features. If I set this parameter to yes in the ifc-reader, then I get the memory issues right away when I start the workspace. If I set the parameter to no and run the workspace with certain transformers (like a GeometryValidator, VertexCounter,…) or the CSGEvaluator, I get the problems after a certain amount of features. Hello, I have the following question: I would like to automate a process that involves running an ArcGIS Python script and then 5 FME workspaces. I thought about doing this with 6 workspaces, which I call using the WorkspaceRunner. For this to work, I would have to use the ArcGIS Python interpreter for the first workspace and after that the FME Python interpreter. Is it possible to set this as an option in each Workspace? I know it is possible to change the standard Python interpreter in the FME Options, but is it also possible to define it separately in different FMW files?Thanks a lot for your help in advance!

The attached workspace contains of two parts. In part 1 I transform an excel document which contains many records of clients and products. Some clients have had only one product, others might have had 10. The result is also an excel document in which each client has only one row. In the row the order of al te products is displayed in time starting with the first product and ending with the last product (in time).In part 2 some checks are done on the data. For example some products of the same categorie may not be handed out within a short time period. The workspace does the trick, but is quite slow. I think things could be made more efficient using loops. I've done some research on the internet but can't find the solution yet. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm looking for ideas to help me get around a problem with hanging FME Process. I've found (at least one case) where FME is hanging with a difficult geometry - I've tried a few things to fix the geometry, however, I haven't had much luck (I'm going to pass it on to support for them to look at).The process is being called web API and it's expecting a response back when completed, either failed or successful - I am just using Fail topic to send back a response.  I decided to add in a 'tm_ttc' directive to make the job timeout instead of running forever. It works great, however, now the Failure topic isn't getting triggered and I can't let the tool know to wait for a response. It's the same when the job is canceled manually from the FME Server web ui.  Any ideas on this one? Cheers

I thought I would check here first to see if anyone has seen this issue - before I log it with support.The Column Aligned Text (CAT) reader embedded in a Feature Reader is missing the fme_dataset and fme_basename attributes - even though they are specifically exposed. I am using FME Desktop version 2019.2 (build 19801 – WIN32).This was working fine in the last version of 2018.Thanks in advance.Mike B.

IM trying to read a lmgrd9.log file, i can see most of what i need, but need to group the time stamps into 24 hour blocks and the assign the correct date to that to give a date/timestamp - Then i wish to join the OUT and IN with the user name to give a duration - this will end up in a powerbi report so can do some there.

Anyone who has an idiotproof guide to how I change the default port numbers for FME server docker install into else than 80 or 443? I plan to run this on a linux server with loads of other stuff, including a web server on port 80. Lots of other stuff that breaks if I put FME server on port 80. I'm fairly certain I'm not the only one with this use case... I am quite baffled that port number this isn't a parameter in the installation script.
