After upgrading to FME 2020, I went ahead and changed my password. I entered it into my password keeper, copied it from there into FME, and confirmed the change. However, that password didn't stick in my password keeper. So I am unable to login to FME web interface. Is there a way to reset the password?

Not sure if this is a bug or I'm just doing it wrong.I've got a FeatureWriter that does an Update on a SQLite Table, and then follows this by doing an Insert on the same SQLite Table.It doesn't work. The Update operation runs, but the Insert doesn't. If I split the FeatureWriter into 2 separate FeatureWriters, one for Update and one for Insert, then it works.Is this just a limitation, a bug, or I've set this up wrong?

I am trying to push a HTTP Request notification to a client machine using a Text Writer with MIME Mode set to 'application\\json'. The issue we're running into is that we get extra "\\" in the 'subscriber_content' section. Hello all,I am a relatively new FME user. I am looking for advice on the most efficient way to assign attribute values based on CAD layer name. Specifically I am working with several sewer main layers that all begin with the diameter of the mains contained within. The way I have built out my work space does achieve what I am looking to do, however as you can see by then screenshot, it is horribly inefficient. I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to consolidate the process I built out in that ridiculous branching process? Any advice would be much appreciated.Note: I understand this can likely be achieved in python very easily. I am not expert with such methods so if there is a way to achieve what I am looking to do using strictly transformers, that would be preferable to python solutions. Hello dear FME comunity, My company is making databases to government facilities. We are gathering data from the field and digitizing it in AutoCAD. the water and sewage line attributes are in the middle of the line in an attribute block and the accessories are in attribute blocks. My wish is to get an FME module that I can work with that will give me the option to take the dwg data and transfer it to a shape file. the module needs to be flexible enough that if I wish to change the names of the attributes or their types on either side of the module it will be possible. The module should also have the option to check geometry and data validation, and to make a report showing where the problem is.

Hello,I have a trouble with zipfiles.I made a script that take multiple files and put them into a PostgreSQL database (in a binary column).My script works really great : I'm using a datafile reader to get files and the PostgreSQL writter put them into my DB without any problems.Where it doesn't work : when I try to import zip files, FME try to unzip them.  I don't want them to be unzipped, I want them to be imported as zip files directly into the DB. Have you any solution ? Thank you for your answer.Best regards.Arthur Bazin

I'm trying to create a ellipse2D or circle shape from four points. i have 4 coordinates (North, South East, West) i want to join up the points with a round shape. I have tried 2D ellipseReplacer, and used East+West for the Primary Axis & North + South for the secondary Axis. its seems to almost work but the scale an shape is slightly differentI have managed to create a Square using BoundingBox Accumulator - But need to fill that box with a round shape, touching all edgesusing 2019.2 DesktopThe image attached shows the 2D ellipse shape overlayed on the 4 points/box. As you can see it's not right. Even when I scale it down it's still incorrect Grateful for any assistance

FME Desktop 2018.1.01. on Windows Server 2012.I started a translation at 1523 yesterday which simply reads point data from SQL Server Spatial and writes it to an ArcSDE layer. At 1821 STATRP lines started appearing in the log. And at the end I got 2 lines saying "Translation was SUCCESSFUL with 1 warning(s)..." instead of the usual 1 line.Statistics are ticked in the translation options but I've never noticed this situation before. Hi - I wanted to find out if a trial license will be lost if FME Server is upgraded? Is an uninstall/re-install and then restore config backup.Will this loose the trial license? If so - how does one continue the trial?e.g. FME Server 2020 installed and wanted to upgrade to 2020.0.01 which I see was just released.Thanks

I have two tables having ID column in common. These IDs are repeated multiple times in both the tables. Now I need to merge these two tables into a single table based on this ID field. I tried using Feature Merger, but the results were not as expected. Some data were missing. Is there any effective way to do a many to many join in FME?

But meanwhile, I would like to ask whether anyone of you implemented a workaround to read WMTS.I want to read the orthophoto via https://www.basemap.at/wmts/1.0.0/WMTSCapabilities.xml and crop it by a polygon. Hi all,I am trying to run a workspace on FME Server (2019) through the Data Download service. This generally works fine in terms of authorization etc. I can successfully pass parameters (and directives) to it as a query string. However, one of the parameters is geometry, currently encoded as OGC Well-Known Text. The input for this parameter can become quite large, as the geometry will be passed to FME Server from a web map. When this happens, the URL exceeds tens of thousands of characters and this seems to break the request.Because of this, I am trying to pass the request as POST, keeping all parameters in the body and thus the URL nice and short. However I can't get this to work - the parameters in the body are ignored and the workspace is run with the default parameters every time.The FME Server Data Download logfile has this line every time:POST request received. Redirecting to GET method. Is it possible at all to use POST to start the Data Download service? If so, how do I pass pa

Hello,I need to retrieve the value of a column header in a CSV file. The column header contains the ID of a meter I need to use as an insert into a database. Unfortunately I can't use a filepathreader as the id filed isn't included. Any idea how I might do this? I have attached a test file. The value I need to extract from the column header is the string after the undescore.

i used Network topology builder calculator , and each line has specific id so i get the output for which id is connect to which id ,but i have one problem when more than one line intersected it repeats id more than one time bcs as example id 5 connects with id 7 and id 9 and id 10so it repeats one id ,many times it depends how many lines connected to the same point ,so i would like to ask ,how could i give for all connects point the same id_network bcs if A connects to Band B connects to Cso A CONNECTS TO C so all of them should have the same id _network id_network for A =8id_network for B= 8 id_network for C = 8I WANT TO give the same id_network for all lines connects to the same point i do not want to repeat one id more than one time .

Hello,I'm trying to find only the letter D on its own in a string such as the following: B,G,D,DM,TD,DM,TD,D. In this example, that would be 2 D's (the third D and the last D I've marked in red).Unfortunately, all the regex expressions I've tried also gets the D within TD (e.g using D,|D$). Thanks.Tony

Hoping someone can help with this. Since upgrading to 2019.2 our existing workbenches have begun to fail. Each time a coordinate system is called on it appears to be missing a curly brace at the end. E.g. "{EPSG:27700 is not a valid key name." or "{OSGB-GPS-2015 is not a valid key name.... Last line repeated 11 times ..."These are only warnings until eventually the workbench fails under:"No definition was found for coordinate system `{EPSG:27700' "Wondering if this is a bug or if we are missing something? Let me know if I need to provide more info.

I'm trying to generate a cell averaged DEM to generate smoothed contours within FME. After converting bare earth las points to a DEM using the Raster DEM Generator (1' cell), I want to average the values of those cells for smoother contours and it seems that the Raster Convolver is my best bet. Within the Raster Convolver I'm using a 5x5, weights all set to 1, Divisor set to 1 and Operation set to Mean but my results arent really matching what I can create in ArcGIS, they appear to be shifted to the side, about 2.5'. The Focal Statistics tool in Arc can be used to average the cell values of my initial DEM in a 3 cell radius with proper results. Are there different settings I should be using in the Raster Convolver or is there a better way to go about this?

I have approx 600 points based on top of a surface. I want to be able to generate a 5 meter long line in each of these which is in the normal direction of that surface.This is to be used for planning boreholes in a tunnel.Finding the normal of a surface is ok - but the normal of the point on a surface seems to be more difficult. The lines that needs to be generated is created manually on the last image.
