Hi, I am trying to print certain things while running a python code through python caller! I found it was working earlier but suddenly I do not get any print command except if i just do a print and no other code is present. Can anybody help?

Hi,  I have a column named DateTime in a table. The format of date and time is as follows:  9/9/2009 21:23:31 25/12/1991 8:3:23  means There is a space b/w date and time. Date Month Year is seperated by '/' and time by ':' Now, I need to seperate date and time. I want two new attributes Date and Time with respected outputs. Thanks in advance. 

Sorting happens mostly by one attribute across a set of features. I would like to sort multiple attribute values (all of type datetime) across one feature and pick out the most recent date (of that particular feature) and assign it to a new attribute. I can imagine a lot of complex Testers, but it seems so obvious to use sorting of some kind. Any suggestions?

Is there a way to control the size of labels within AutoCAD blocks during DWG rendering? The text looks smaller and is misaligned when rendered by FME (and therefore the inspector and, more importantly, the PNG writer), but it's the right size and aligned properly in AutoCAD.Bad in FME (for Linux):vs. Good in AutoCAD: 

The DateTimeParse function is driving me mad (in FME 2018.1)!What is the problem with this...?Failed to evaluate expression '@DateTimeParse(3-Jun-2020,%Y%m%d,repair)'. Hi there, I would like to use a Conditional Region Growing algorithm from the PCL library (See tutorial) inside a workbench. I make some point cloud preprocessing using vector features and then, at some point, I would like to introduce this algorithm and go further with my processing. How can I make use of that? I have tried with Python bindings using PythonCaller but it is not so helpful in this case.Is there a chance that this solution will work? :-> Preprocessing... -> SystemCaller(call .exe file triggering C++ algorithm) -> grab results (still within FME) -> process further Would you like to share some other possible solution?The biggest advantage of FME is that you can construct pipeline from A to Z and you do not have to interrupt it. I can, of course, export results after preprocessing and then that get back to FME but it is not what I would like to have at the end.

Hi guys,I have a line file (1 line) and a point file (Multiple pairs of start/end points). I'm trying to clip multiple line segments from a single line based on a start and end points with matching ID attribute. I have been trying PointOnLineOverlayer but it adds the attributes from only the first point to every line. When I generate a list based on the ID the list includes every point ID on every line, not just the points that the new line intersects.  Is there another way to achieve this? Any help would be greatly aprreciated. Cheers, Dave.

Some really weird has happend to my Win-10 enterprise PC: Starting FME workbench 2018.1.1.2 fails with the "LibraryLoad failed with error 87" error message. Has anyone else had to deal with it? By googling it seems to be a generic windows issue. I can't find any FME - specific discussions about this error.My theory is that some windows upgrade has broken my FME installation.Happy for any help. If I find a solution I'll post a followup.

I think I have the easiest question ever but I've wasted too much time on it and it just won't work.I just want to create a new attribute for each record with the result of the sum of 3 other values. The result of nieuw + renovatie + stroomopwaarts. It looks very easy but i have already tried everything and nothing works. What am I missing? 

Hi, I used to read my ESRI database with the ArcSDE Legacy Reader which worked fine. When I switched to the new GEODATABASE_SDE reader, my ESRI lines that have a cross over that looks like an arc are now read as an IFMEPatch which is a combination of an IFMELine and an IFMEArc. With the Leagacy reader the same line is read as a Line and not as a path of a line and an arc. Is there a way to force it to be read as a line as before? If not possible what would be the best way to convert it as a line? Thanks,Simon

We have FME 2018.1 when you choose “Use system proxy settings” it uses the system proxy ok, but it ignores any exceptions you may have set in Internet Options e.g. for local addresses that don’t use the proxy. The work around I have at the minute is to add each individual server on our local domain to the Custom Proxy Map in FME Preferences as having No Proxy however I can’t use a wildcard to do this the same way it is in the Internet Options exceptions list e.g. server1.domain.com rather than *.domain.com. Is this by design? Exception list in Internet Options Proxy Window and use System Settings in FME 

Heyhey and happy new year, Im fascinated with the 3D PDF possibility of FME and am constantly making some needlessly-over-complicated things in it (of course)Up to now I have mainly just been taking either stuff straight out of Revit for buildings/structures to a 3D PDF or draping TIN's with areal photography or other rasters to make nice 3D landscape.Now I want to include vector data in my landscapes, for example not only drape a TIN with areal photography but also drape it with contours (lines) and areas (polygons) and even perhaps somekind of a structure (based on a point).Ive googled around and tried many things but I just have not succeeded, so could anyone suggest a workflow where I:-Introduce vector data (point. line, polygon)-Set the symboligy of that vector data (color, thickness, opacity...)-Drape a TIN with that symbolized vector data (Use the 'Appearance setter'?)-Export that to a 3D PDF (remembering that I already know how to make it with Raster and TIN, just n

I'm running the WSR with 7 concurrent processes. Is there a way to add information to the opend cmd window to identify which window belongs to which processes?I need to terminate from time to time a cmd as it's hanging but I can't identify know which window belongs to which process and I need to guess.In a batch file I would add TITLE parameter in it. Hi there, I have Incident_no in the csv which I don't want to include into the calculation. Data is coming from the database. Is there any way that I exclude the records that contain incident number present in CSV? I tried with Feature joiner but it didn't give an option of not equal.

I've used a method in the past with a WorkspaceRunner to pass a timestamp value into the log file name parameter of a second workspace to ensure that I always get a unique logfile for each rn of the same workspace. But, that's only any good when I can trigger the process in this way. Right now, what I want to be able to do is to use a scripted parameter ideally to generate a unique log file name that is say a concatenation of the workspace name and the start time so like: FMEBatchRun_2014-03-12T12:01:52.log.  Is a scripted parameter the best option for this and if so, can anyone help me with the syntax as I'm not much good (any good really) at writing python...  Thanks, Dave

In FME Server 2019 + a new feature 'Automations' was introduced. Among other things this features allows you to create Schedules, however the Schedules only page still exists as well. After a successful restore should I convert all my existing Schedules into Automations? Moving forward how do I decide when I should be using the Schedules page vs building an Automation?

Hello :) I'm new to FME and I have a question which I didn't found answered yet in your discussion board: I want to read my gpx files and write them into a esri shp file. The gpx files are containing gpxx extensions (heartrate "hr" and a temperature "atemp") but those I cant read. The normal gpx stuff is transferred to the shp file. The output feature class based on the sample data should have 3 features (one per file) and 50 columns named and populated from all lines which include the symbol “=”, e.g line 7: LIDAR POINT COUNT=35,391,512, where the ColumnName is "LIDAR POINT COUNT" and the Value is "35,391,512".The polygon should be created using the UPPER LEFT X, UPPER LEFT Y, LOWER RIGHT X and LOWER RIGHT Y.The number of features will vary from file to file; another file might result in 312 features.I have managed to extract the desired rows and aggregate them into the requisite 3 features (see attached 2017 fmw), but am now stuck as to how to pull the attributes back apart and build the polygons...

Just upgraded to 2019.0.2.0 and the BulkAttributeRenamer shows some unexpected behaviour, when an attribute's name contains special characters (in my case German umlauts "äöü", but I assume any non-ascii trigger the problem). Problem did NOT occur in 2017.1.2.The transformer's mode of operation (prefix, regex etc.) doesn't seem to matter: simply adding a prefix is enough to trigger the bug.Minimal example to reproduce:Create a feature with an attribute name, e.g. "ÄTTRIBUTE" = 1Add a prefix to it with BulkAttributeRenamer, e.g. "FOO_"Note you now have "FOO_ÄTTRIBUTE" as expected, but with an empty value (instead of =1) AND you still have "ÄTTRIBUTE" carrying the original value (only visible when inspecting all of the feature's attributes, i.e. click the row in inspector)Can anyone else reproduce this?
