Hi, Im trying to write data to an xlsw writer where i want for each partner a seperate excel file with a sheet for each municipality.So i tried to create a writer where i set my sheet name to an variabel attribute (gemeente) and then by the fanout option i tried the variabel attribute "gegevenspartner". But is doesn't work, what am i doing wrong?

Hello FME Community,  i need help to understand how i can solve my problem.   The outcome should be a Excel-File where all Adresses on a parcell should be stored.  1.)i got Points(Adresses) and Areas  2.) Use the PointonAreasOverlayer and make a List on the Areas.  3.) Use the ListExploder: Take the List and Create a _element_index (rest is standard)  now comes the part that i dont really understand.  4.) i use the AttributeCreator for Creating Attributes like "@Value(_element_Index)Adress" = "@value(Adress)" then i use the "centerpointreplacer" and a "pointonpointoverlayer" to merge the "new" attributes  then comes the duplicatefilter(group = ID) to get the unique Adresspoint with all the AdressesStored in a parcell.  and then comes the tricky part: after i use the AttributeCreator my Created Attributes where gone but when i redirected it to the datainspector my attributes where stored an the "Areas"  and that was it. Hi I have been using the NetworkTopologyCalculator in conjunction with the Aggregator to combine numerous individual lines segments into larger 'single merged' line segment with limited success.  I have noticed there are a few line segments that either fall short from touching and a gap can been seen or overlap. See image 1 below. The gaps are generally less than 0.2 meters.Image 1 Detail view of image 1 below:Image 2Having read a few threads on the forum I inserted the Snapper transformer, setting the parameters to Segment Snapping and the Snapping Distance to 0.2. When I inspect the data I can see that the gap has been closed.Image 3 I assumed that as the gap had been closed that the NetworkTopologyCalculater would have then included this 'connected' line segment into the 'single merged' line. Good morning,I am trying to come up with a way to generate lines where the starting locations are contained in one data set and the end points are contained in another data set. I have 19 "start" points and 4 "end" points; I need a line from each start point to each end point - So I should end up with 76 lines. Any guidance on how I should accomplish this would be greatly appreciated. I've been toying around with lists and trying to loop through them to create all the pairs of points that I need to feed into the LineBuilder, but I've been struggling with how to get it done. Thanks,Brian

So, what would be the easiest way to do this. Lets say we have generated 2 separate, but parallel Lists like this (say from ListExpressionPopulator):Colours{}Precincts{}And it is desired to combine these into a single list with the original list names as instead the component names like this:Report{}ColoursReport{}PrecinctsAs far as I can tell, this can't be done with either ListRenamer or AttributeRenamer, and the closest got to is using BulkAttributeRenamer.

I have an access database that gets updated when data is checked in from a mobile device.which is set up as a FME Server workspace with directory watch protocol set to modify . I was hoping that adding new records would change the file size and the workspace gets triggered which in-turn triggers a child workspace. Unfortunately the size does not change every time data gets checked-in.Im looking for help on how to check for updated records in an access database since the SQL executor doesn't work on access database.The access database has valve exercising information ,which is used to create inspections in cityworks using the Cityworks API. The child workspace uses the API to make the API calls to Cityworks.

Hi All,We're looking at setting up a PostGIS database on a PostGIS database sitting on an AWS Serverless RDS and are unclear whether our desktop FME will be able to successfully interact with it.Our main concern is with some of our existing FME workspaces that we would want to read from the PostGIS database, process for 2-3 days then write the output back to the database. During this processing we'd expect the AWS Serverless RDS to switch itself off as all the processing is happening on my desktop, but will FME "wake-up" the Serverless RDS when it's time to write to the database? Cheers Rich   

Hello,I have a set of lines that I converted into points using snipper. I want to find one neighbor of every point, so I used Candidate Only feature of NeighborFinder. However, I receive the same point as closest candidate.I tried the same workflow for other set of points which I hadn't converted from lines and it works fine for this input. I'm not sure why I'm not able to find neighbors of points I created from lines.Please provide some suggestions. I've added screenshot and workbench for reference.  

I need to create a workspace that I can use to find groups (brands) that are wrong or do not fit with the majority of what is in my existing shapefile. For example: If 1000 Boston Pizza have group of 'Boston Pizza' and 5 have a group of 'Boston Pizza Restaurant and Bar' - then the logic should replace those 5 with the majority group.

I am trying to write to an Inspire GML writer using the Habitats and Biotopes xsd but I am not getting any geometry. If I preview the output from the last transformer I can see that the geometry is polygons:But the written GML just contains the attributes and no geometry.Does anyone have any clue what I am doing wrong?

Hi!  Im having trouble producing a 3D mesh from my point cloud (.las). I'm using the PointCloudSurfaceBuilder which seems to be just what I'm looking for, but the process halts after some warnings in the translation logg."PointCloudManipulatorFactory: Converting 'x' from type 'Real64' to 'Real32'. If this conversion is undesired, consider changing the type explicitly." (seen below)This line is said for x,y,z and a similar line for "color_xxx" and is undesired.  The PointCloudCoercer > Output Geometry: Singel multipoint makes these warnings go away, but instead redirects the process into "Rejected".Does anyone know how to proceed with this?  Any clues is much appreciated!!

I hope anyone can explain what is causing this.I have the following data:With the AttributeManager I want to convert the numbers from meters to millimeters (see below).The outcome of the AttributeManger is:Why is the bottom value of the first row different than the other two rows?It is luckily not an obstructing issue in my workbench, because I solved it with the AttributeRounder. But I am curious how this happens, and what the options are to prevent this from happening.Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I am trying to calculate the four date fields related to the start and end of the current and previous regulatory year based on the current date. The regulatory year starts from 1st of April and ends on 31 March of next year. So in this way current regulatory year starts from 1st April 2019 and ends on 31 March 2020. Hi,  I would like to create 72 features with predefined ID and NAME attributes for instance:  ID    NAME 689  Kativic 711  Monts et marées 712  Charlevoix ...     ...  So far I used the creator (1 instance) followed by AttributeCreator where I added all IDs separated by a coma into 1 attribute. Then I used the AttributeSplitter to create a list on the IDs and finally the ListExploder.    The result is ok, I have one feature with the ID, but I cant find a way to have the NAME attribute also attached to those features. Instinctively, I would use a JSON key:value list, but I am not sure how and if it is the correct solution.  Thank you for your help 

Hi Everyone, I am fairly new to FME, so please be patient with me! I have some As-Builts in PDF format that I need to convert to TIFF format as part of a monthly update to an external stakeholder (individual PDFs to individual TIFFs). I have attempted to use the Adobe Geospatial PDF reader and translate it to the TIFF/GEOTIFF writer, but to no avail. I keep getting an error message "Failed to obtain raster from feature. Only features with raster geometry are expected"; this is despite having 'Read Rasterized Pages' set to 'Yes'. I would appreciate any help and suggestions that can be offered!  Thanks in advance!

We're upgrading our servers and databases to ArcGIS 10.6, Oracle19c and FME 2019 I'm installing the new machine for FME, but 'm unable to connect to our database with the ArcSDE Geodb reader. I'm using a sde connection file(which works in ArcCatalog), but when I try to open the Table List I get the follwoing error:Failed to retrieve feature types.Could not open the Enterprise Geodatabase. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147216072'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {Underlying DBMS error[Unknown errorNo extended error.]}Here's the additional logfile:  My Setup:Server: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 StandardFME Desktop 2019.2.2 64-bitArcGIS Desktop 10.6.1ArcGIS Desktop Background Geoprocessing 10.6.1 (64-bit)Oracle Client 19cOracle instant client 19.5 64-bitDatabase:Oracle 19.cArcSde 10.6.1 Connecting to the database with an Oracle Reader does work. Any idea what the problem could be?

Hi all,  I have something weird going on in my StringReplacer.E.g. a simple string goes in. StringReplacer settings: RegEx captures whole string in capture group 1, then as a replacement I use capture group 1, followed by the string "finished"  In the output the string "finished" is somehow duplicated. Magic / bug / am I doing something wrong? Cheers, Ed

I have a workspace that creates an ESRIJSON file of features. The problem is I have 90 to upload but any more than 2 features causes a http 414 uri too long return from the destination server with a POST request. Any ideas on how to send 1 feature at a time? I tried WorkspaceRunner which processes one at a time but I need to write the json file from the incoming feature each time and I can't figure that out as yet.

I have a line that I've chopped up and intersected with perpendicular lines to be labeled with odd and even numbers on either side.I used the counter transformer to label the perpendicular lines, but I encounter a looping sequence numbering that doesn't quite work for what I intend. See the image below.  What I would like is to have the sequencing start at the label 45 and 46 and end at the current endpoint.
