i have 5 pathes of lines and they intersected in one point and each path has 4 connected lines and each lines has his own id .when i use network topology uilder by id ,i find it considers all lines in all paths as connected has the same value of network id  i want to work on each 5 paths but as not connected in one point ,how could i do that .i mean ,as first path that has 4 connected lines and each lines in this path connected till the point that intersected with another pathsi want to consider 4 lines in each path as conneced but not connects with another pathi do not want to consider every path that includes lines as connected to other paths .i want to make each path as seperated ,how could i do that.Thanks  

Hi, I have a IIS web server on the same machine that FME Desktop is installed. On the web server a php script calls a FME workbench using "shell_exec(same_as_batch_text)", and the workbench executes. The problem is that FME can't connect to the database when the command is being sent through IIS and php. I have followed the information on https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/61651/fme-failing-to-run-from-a-batch-file.html without getting any further. This means: - My database is made public. - The default paths are moved to a location with common access.Any suggestions? Lets say I have a polyline that covers a road, and on that road there are multiple stoppage points represented by another layer (point layer), how can I segment that 1 polyline to autocut to the closest point in its vicinity? (the points are not always overlayed exactly ontop of the polyline). Here is an example So for this 1 polyline I am trying to get 11 pollines where it would break at each dot.

Greetings, I’m needing to loop through a list of zones and run a series of calculations and spatial intersections that require a rather lengthy model. The trick is I need the model to still grab the next value in the list and run all the calculations accordingly. The only way I know to do this is to use a workspacerunner and call a separate workspace containing the list each time I need the next value. This seems highly inefficient so is there not a better way to setup a single workspace and have it loop through the list at the beginning, run all calculations, and proceed to next value in the list?

Hi list.I'm tasked with creating an XML, that is compromised from many different sources (database tables/views). I'm plannning to use a number of XmlTemplater's to accomplish this.But each feature from some of these sources is represented in the final XML as a bit of GML wrapped in special tags.FeatureWriter will collect all input features into a single GML file. This is not what I want.Is there a way to make FME output the GML representation for each feature ?Cheers.Lars I.

Hi list.I'm currently trying to generate a composite XML using XmlTemplater.One of the details is that tags without text value must not be output at all.I tried to utilize the following expression (from the help page):{ if( {fme:has-attribute("mailadresse")} )then <ler:mailadresse>{fme:get-attribute("mailadresse")}</ler:mailadresse>else ()}My expectation (for "else") is that output is only generated if an attribute value is present.Much to my surprise, "<ler:mailadresse/>" is output instead, even though the attribute value in question is <null>.Can anyone share how to tweak the expression, so "else" produces absolutely no output ?And yes, the presence of the "else" part seems to be mandatory.Using 2020.0

Hi, I am trying to generate a simple HTML page on FME Server 2017 to start an FME Server Jobsubmitter Job. I use an HTML template where I replace the server part of the URL by $(FME_SERVER_WEB_URL). We are on a secure environment and the FME Server is on URL https://myfmeserver.mycomp.nl:443/fmeserver. But when I use the FME_SERVER_WEB_URL parameter, it returns the insecure version of it: http://myfmeserver.mycomp.nl:80/fmeserver. The service URLs are configured for SSL, i.e., starting with https://. How does FME Engine "know" about its URL? What is the source of the $(FME_SERVER_WEB_URL) parameter? Thanks in advance.

I hope you are doing well during these different times. I have some point data that represents addresses. Sometimes one address (123 Main St) can have more than one feature because one represents the building and one the parcel. I have used the Matcher, matching on the address string field. Now, I have a _match_id that is unique for each different address. Now I want to filter the data. Ex: For each unique _match_id value, filter out features that are an address_type of Building. How do you suggest doing this?

For years I have been using a small helper function to log in both FME Desktop Log Window and Logfile (and FME Server):def myLogger(string):    print(string)    with open(fme.logFileName,"a") as f:        f.write("{}\n".format(string))With this, my log messages were written to the Logfile and when executed in FME Desktop Workbench also visible in the log window.Now, FME 2018.1 and newer redirect stdout to info logging and stderr to warn logging in the FME session.But in the Shutdown Script the FME Session has already been terminated.Is there any way to put info into the FME Desktop Log Window from a Python Shutdown Script?

HI,I have upload multiple folders which contian thousands of *.osgb files to Resources->Data of FME Cloud. All the files need to be converted to specific format.How can I select the folders or plenty of files just once rather than click individual file one by one as source files?

Is there a way to set default annotation styling? I find that the text size is too small and I like to use different colour backgrounds but have to set it on every annotation I drop on the canvas. I can't find any settings to set defaults. ThanksSeb

Hello, I would like to split the line with the intersected Points. Seems easy, but it does not work for me...I have a lot of line which I merged together with a "NetworkTopologyCalculator" it looks that it works. After with aggregator I get 1 Line (what I wanted to). Then setted PointOnLineOverlayer. There I have the points, which intersected the Line. But the result from Overlayer is not as I needed. does anybdy have any idea, whay it been splitted on "wrong" place, and not there where the are the points?I get a sum of 840 lines, what is completely wrong.  Thanks a lot

I have a table with 224 records, but for 3 records the outcome of the AttributeManger is not what I want and what I would expect.It goes wrong for these three records:This table goes into an AttributeManager where I multiply the values in the 'top' column with 1000.I use this statement: @int(@Value(top)*1000) The outcome is as follows:Does anyone know why it does not result in these values:LocDepth_IDtopB49F0423-8.118110B50D0035-2.012010B50D0036-4.024020 And why it goes wrong for only 3 out of 224 records? Thanks in advance!Eva

After upgrading to FME 2020, I went ahead and changed my password. I entered it into my password keeper, copied it from there into FME, and confirmed the change. However, that password didn't stick in my password keeper. So I am unable to login to FME web interface. Is there a way to reset the password?

Not sure if this is a bug or I'm just doing it wrong.I've got a FeatureWriter that does an Update on a SQLite Table, and then follows this by doing an Insert on the same SQLite Table.It doesn't work. The Update operation runs, but the Insert doesn't. If I split the FeatureWriter into 2 separate FeatureWriters, one for Update and one for Insert, then it works.Is this just a limitation, a bug, or I've set this up wrong?

I am trying to push a HTTP Request notification to a client machine using a Text Writer with MIME Mode set to 'application\\json'. The issue we're running into is that we get extra "\\" in the 'subscriber_content' section. Hello all,I am a relatively new FME user. I am looking for advice on the most efficient way to assign attribute values based on CAD layer name. Specifically I am working with several sewer main layers that all begin with the diameter of the mains contained within. The way I have built out my work space does achieve what I am looking to do, however as you can see by then screenshot, it is horribly inefficient. I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to consolidate the process I built out in that ridiculous branching process? Any advice would be much appreciated.Note: I understand this can likely be achieved in python very easily. I am not expert with such methods so if there is a way to achieve what I am looking to do using strictly transformers, that would be preferable to python solutions. Hello dear FME comunity, My company is making databases to government facilities. We are gathering data from the field and digitizing it in AutoCAD. the water and sewage line attributes are in the middle of the line in an attribute block and the accessories are in attribute blocks. My wish is to get an FME module that I can work with that will give me the option to take the dwg data and transfer it to a shape file. the module needs to be flexible enough that if I wish to change the names of the attributes or their types on either side of the module it will be possible. The module should also have the option to check geometry and data validation, and to make a report showing where the problem is.
