Hello everyone!Although I am new to FME, I have been working non-stop studying it for the past month and have reached a point where I cannot solve it.Some background to understand my problem.I design and build existing sewer network maps, and of course, sewer network planning as well.I pick up the map through the autocad, where alphanumeric check are done, as well as geometric check.The place I got stuck in is the geometric inspection.As we know, the sewer moves gravitationally, and in order for the map to be correct, first of all, the sewer lines must be connected snap to each other, for example:And not like this:These mistakes are due to lack of attention, etc., and in quality control I need to make sure they do not move on.So my challenge here is to figure out how to locate those non-pinned vertext points, then either automatically fix, or at least alert them to.The other challenge I suppose that can be solved similarly is the flow directions.The geometric network that I then build

Is it possible in a startup script to access incoming shapefiles and set a private parameter based on a shapefiles attribute?For example, I am a reading shapefiles and at the same time I want to query a rather large database based off a unique id that the shapefiles contain. I'm currently using the SQLCreator because it seems to be the fastest database reader.I was thinking within the startup script, I could set a private or published parameter to a shapefile attribute, then in the SQLCreator, I could have a sql statement, that has db.attname = $(newParameter). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have Parcel data and crop data (polygon geom). I am trying to calculate the crop type ratio for each parcel.My plan was:Clip the crop data based on parcelCalculate statistics based on crop type and group by ParcelIDI am not getting a sufficient result.Any help is appreciated. Hey, I am currently reading a feature layer from AGOL, processing the data and writing the edited data to a new feature layer. I have been able to extract the associated image attachments from my original table, but I am wondering if there is a way for me to insert these images to my output table? Can we write these images, i have a GUID of the feature i need it to be attached to, I just don't know if it is possible through FME.Any ideas?

We have a startup python script that will run a kinit process using a keytab file on the server. Unfortunately it appears that even though the kinit was successful and the Kerberos ticket was created correctly, FME is not able to see the newly created ticket in the Kerberos ticket cache. Once the current FME process terminates any new FME processes after wards can see the new ticket. It seems to me the Kerberos ticket cache is read into memory with the initial FME.exe starts and updates are not known about by the FME process. Any idea how make the ticket cache update during the current FME process?  Any ideas or work arounds would be helpful! Current work around idea is to have a separate FME process run separately to generate the Kerberos tickets.  Thanks in advance!!

Fme server app return a failure message if I use drag and drop way to put my input;Hi All,Despite the fact when I running an app and putting the input data for example like that "D:\\Roads_Input.gdb" which way is more diffecult to end user, the app will run successfully with no issues, but When I use the easier way which is drag and drop the gdb file, The app return a failure message!What might be the issue here? Best,Lubna

As part of a configuration validation process I need to check if the list of coordinate system options retrieved from an external list are defined in the instance of FME running the validation workbench. This validation process needs to work with both inbuilt and custom projections that have been defined. My configuration list is based on the FME name of the projection (i.e. for custom projections, matching the attribute COORDINATE_SYSTEM_DEF). Is there a way to read all currently defined coordinate systems to check if the items in the list exist?

I need to set attributes based on whether the workspace is running on FME Server or Workbench. I could do a published parameter to manually toggle a value etc. but I would like it to be more automatic. The idea is that when building and testing on Workbench, I get specific behavior related to that environment; if run on FME Server, this behavior adapts as well. Is there a way to determine from within a workspace where it is being run from? Thanks in advance.

I've tried to convert a dwg to an AR-model on world-coordinates.(based on post https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/105979/question-of-the-week-anchor-points-in-the-fme-ar-w.html )I get the AR-model, but the 'move the model to the geolocation message' won't popup in ios. So the model won't move to the right coordinates.Could someone have a look at my workspace please (if something is wrong)?I've made an translation between the RD-coordinates and the lati- and longitude coordinates. It would be great if someone could fix this! :-)Thanks!

Hi,I am using Automations in FME Server 2019.1 for the first time and I want to add the log file as an attachment to an email.I have tried inputting the following two options into the Emailer but neither worked.Option 1:$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_LOG)/engine/current/jobs/*/{job id}.log  Option 2:{job.log} Automation Workflow:As a side note, I would also like to know if it is possible to send multiple attachments with the Emailer in Automations? Hello, I'm having trouble to substract 2 values. The source attributes (ontwerp & rekenk, yellow) are encoded utf. I convert them to 2 new attributes such as "@real32(@Value(rekenk))". (blue) Then I want to substract those numeric real values in "TEST" but that results in a string? (red) Any ideas?

I just recently upgraded to FME Server 2020.0.1 and noticed the attachments in the emailer transformer wouldn't allow me to specify a file with the direct path of my pdf in the Resources folder. This worked in previous versions of FME Server.$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)/resources/example.pdfIt did work when I created an attribute with the path and used it as the attachment Source File.Is this change by design, or perhaps a bug? Invalid File Path Valid File Path

Hi, I have some WFS that each contain multiple layers. When I add them with a WFS reader I have to check the parameters. When I want to write them in a GDB I have to choose the parameters. But then I have 2 Writers.Is there a possibility of writing several layers in one GDB?Additionally I am interested if it is somehow possible to write the parameters/lLayers from different WFS in one GDB?

I am trying to get all of the Characters in a string that occur before the following " /" (thats a space followed by a /). I have spent hours re-engineering my data but couldn’t find a best resolve to automate data to provide statistics. Thinking, I could have saved myself a lot of trouble with a simple transformer with set logic using FME.    I have a range of attributes containing values such as "Class1, Class1a, Class3, Class4a". values are picked up from a drop down list by the surveyors, that sits in an attributed separated by comma (,).   I need to count the number of items in each attribute, assuming that they were separated by commas. So, the transformer would need to return the value 4 for my example above and for various other attributes using the same logic. I need to use the logic "If the cell is blank, value= 0, if the cell is not blank, but does not contain a comma, value=1, otherwise, value= (number of commas +1) i.e. read the string, if there are two commas in the string, then there must be three values, and so on.    Logic is clear of what I'm trying to achieve but, I

I have an ArcGIS Online Feature Layer with Fire Hydrant points, these hydrants have a unique ID from our asset management system. I am creating new points while carrying out inspection, using a mobile device, it creates a point within a few meters of the original hydrant. I want FME to grab this new point, move it over the original point, and insert the unique ID into a column of the new point. Is this simple to do? I have done some googling but nothing has jumped out at me. Thanks!

I'm a beginner with FME and have only used it for a couple of weeks doing simple tasks in Workbench so my knowledge is not very good. I'm now trying to set up an automatic process for downloading data(zip files) from a Swedish authoritys website: http://extra.lansstyrelsen.se/gis/Sv/lansvisa-geodata/sodermanlands-lan/Pages/default.aspxI have created a FME script for downloading the specific zip (LstD Ädellövinventering) using a HTTPCaller. I only want the script to run when the specific zip file has been updated. Is that possible? And how does that work? I also want to be notified by email if the data failed to download. And maybe let the script run til the download is sucessful if that's a good idea?

Hi,I have meter data that is currently processed by FME into 15 minutes values, 96 values being in one day.I have been asked to identify if there are 3 or more identical values in the 02:00 - 04:00 that would be the same, as this may prove that the meter has flatlined and is no longer recording the flow.I've not done this before - can anyone please suggest any FME workflow which might identify identical consecutive values and add a value to an attribute? I attach some test data whilst I try and figure it out myself. CheersN
