Is it possible in FME Server Windows environnement to run fme.exe from command line (.cmd or .bat file) ?Is there the exact same fonctionnality as in FME Desktop install ?Does it use the FME Server licence ?Thanks

Hello I've been trying to work with some COVID data from my state in Brazil.Every day the state health department releases a CSV with the data like this where we have a feature for every city and every day with the number from covid( deaths, confirmed cases and recovery cases)I want to create 3 shape file for each situation where the first collum is the city name and all other collumns are the dates, just like these: I was able to do it with AttributeCreator and Exposer but as time goes bye the health department updates the begining of the dates from the CSV( in this example the least date is 23 feb, but now the first day is 04 jan).I know i can use the exposer with all the days of the year but i was trying to create only the necessary collumns of date.I saw this post (https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/21304/get-the-attributes-names-with-python.html) but how can i use this to create the correct "schema" for my shapefiles?? 

I have a workspace that has 6 published parameters,When I publish this workspace to FME Server the DestDataset_ACAD parameter is missing The parameter is available when I publish a webhook and the webhook runs successfully but the file return from FME Server is named like this.When I change the file extension this file opens in AutoCAD.  I have tried to create a parameter and then link to the writer this also goes missing when I publish to FME Server. Is there a setting I am not seeing somewhere? I am using REAL_DWG writer.

I've been having some issues with Creating and reading AutoCAD 3D Solid geometries. Through my investigation I have found that the REALDWG writer/reader supports solids the best (ACAD will just read as multi-surface in most cases), however, when it comes to colours/appearances FME is falling short. While I can create a single solid feature with once color (using the default layer color), I am unable to color the surfaces individually which is pretty well supported by a lot of other formats in FME.  In addition DWG files which contain solids which have different color surfaces are just read in with all surfaces coloured as the layer color.  Has anyone had any luck either creating OR reading solids from AutoCAD witch have different colored surfaces?  Here's an example which creates a multi-colored solid box:   @daveatsafe or @andreaatsafe perhaps there are some PR's relating to these issues already? 

I have some bad data from an outside source and some of the days are 00 and not 01 (YYYY:MM:DD). The SQL db I am trying to write is dropping these records. Stringreplacer? I've recently installed the 2019.1 betaEdition: FME Desktop ESRI Edition (floating) Version: FME(R) 2019.1.0.0 (20190618 - Build 19594 - WIN64) The sorter transformer does not seem to be sorting correctly.I am trying to sort a large list of alphanumeric location codes like CAON0696, CABC0002, USFL0788, etc.I am sorting alphabetically, ascending. I have tried grouping by other attributes like country and province codes but it is not putting them in the correct order.Sorting obviously worked fine in 2018. Is this a known issue?

I wanted to transform a shapefile of lines to a wavefront .obj file. In the resulted file test_obj.obj, I did not get a list of vertices and a line starting with "l" to represent a line.Below are three images. The first one shows shapefile "test" with a line. The second image shows how I configured in FME to get an obj file of the line. The third image shows the resulted obj file, which is "empty".Can anybody help me?

I have searched some methods to convert polygon into lines on FME. But none of these could do it.Firstly, I extract a closed polyline of a polygon with GeometryPartExtractor, and then try to decompose it with Chopper. But instead of four lines, the result is many of broken segments. Secondly, I turn a polygon to a closed polyline with GeometryCoercer, and then try to decompose it to four lines. But the result is also many of broken segments with Chopper, or only one closed polyline with Intersector.  Why is that? Can anyone help me? Thank you so much.

I have an Oracle table full of polygons, I'd like to split them into the arcs and line segments they're composed of.Is there any way I can do this? The closest I've found is setting a Chopper to split every 2 vertices, but this has the effect of turning any arc segment into several straight line segments, which is unwanted.

I am using NetworkCostCalculator to calculate driven distance along a network, storing the cost as a Z-value (though I could switch to Measure)Is there a way of splitting the line at a specific value (3500 metres) of the Measure?And then keeping those streets below the same value (3500 metres)?I am currently using a Contour Generator, but that gives bad results when a road loops around and comes back with the tail end getting caught inside the contour even though the driven distance is too long

Hello,I have a set of features, which have specific(but varying) attributes that I want to expose. All these attributes are uppercase, but all features do not have these attributes, and the names of the attributes vary quite a lot. The only thing they all have in common is being upperspace. I can filter them out with the PythonCaller, but I am unsure about how to input them to the AttributeExposer. The only input I can give the AttributeExposer is to open a file and read from there. Seems like a big workaround to read all the attributes, filter them, then write to a file and then open it.

We face a problem correcting the geometry between multiple polygons in a layer.There are some gaps between polygons and we need to automatically fill them. We identified 2 ways to fill the gaps between 2 polygons, explained in the following chart. We tried the first solution using dossolver and Donut Hole extractor, but there are some line left after the process (maybe due to the different positions of the shape vertex on the grid). So we don’t know if our process is the best to succed ? if yes , how to fix this problem ?

Hello,I would like to create the Dist CLoud/Mesh tool of CloudCompare.I have 2 input files. One is individual points (PointCloudCoercer : Individual Points) from the class Building of a Lidar point Cloud and second is polygons representing roofs in SHAPEFILE. How do I group and count the attribute values in the csvfile ? I tried using counter but it just adds a count to each incident of the value .how do I add group by to the counter?

Hey fellow FME'ers,  I'm working on a process to export multiple formats some of which support textures. Now I know that FME has the capability to deal with shared items buuut does anyone know a way not output multiple copies of the same textures or overwrite existing ones? is there a way for the writers to use the shared items?  Thanks in advance for any input  

Hi! I'm trying to have FME to output an excelfile and use an attribute as it's filename. Can't get it to work! In the parameters settings for the writer I enter the folder in the "Destination Fanout Directory" and as the Fanout Expression i enter:@Value(ATTRIBUTE THAT I WANT TO USE HERE).xlsxThis gives me one ".xlsx", that does not open, and one file with the correct filename but without a file ending (xlsx). Anyone who can point me in the right direction?Using fme desktop 2020. UPDATE:The error was my own fault. The attribute value contained a : (colon) which a filename can not include. Sort this out and the filename get produced as expected.

Hi!I have 2 workspaces. The first output shp files. The second workspace call the first.I would like to run the first on the second, but not export shp. I have this problem because my first workspace is used for differents uses, so in some cases I have a second workspace and in others cases I have not.I look on the parameters of workspacerunner and featurewriter but I don't find the solution.Thanks

I have a series of text files that I am trying to create lines from. Each row in the text file has the number of vertices followed by the Y coordinates for all the vertices and then the x coordinates for all the vertices (see example below)3,41.1380602942863,41.1378946727126,41.1378187626848,-111.856708809171,-111.857316620769,-111.857869454434Does anyone know how I could break these up into an X,Y format to use something like the LineBuilder to create lines?Thanks!

FME Server 2017.There is a firewall between the server and the clients.The server is a single instance and no other flexnet servers are installed in the same machine.The 27000-27009 ports are open in the firewall.No additional configuration done in the safe.lic file.For a long time, everithing worked properly.Now, even if the 27000/27009 ports are still open, the clients seems not able to reach the license server.At least, a telnet to these ports is fine.Trying to solve, I want to modify the safe.lic file.Is the syntax correct? From the documentation, the SERVER port seems not to be mandatory.In case I could use another port like 27001. I have an extremely simple workspace with a creator and an HTTPCaller that just downloads a file from a fixed location to a file share. Runs on my machine in fme desktop but when I publish to server, I get an error. However, the file successfully downloads when run from server. If I set the workspace parameter for Rejected Feature Handling to "Continue Translation" the workspace is successful and I get my file. So is this indicative of a problem?
