I'm trying to calculate a 7-days moving average in FME 2017.Using "DateTimeConverter" and the "Cumulative" option in "StatisticCalculator" I've managed to calculate a moving average on a weekly basis. However, the calcul of the average re-intializes at the start of each week with the value of the first day of the week.Is there a way to implemente a moving average with a known frequency (7 days in this case, 365 in another I'm working on)?Thanks

@takashiHi !Any hints how to align label with the line direction ? I'm using a 2DVectorCalculator, Featuremerger, offsetter and vertex creator. But I'm not always having the right orientation of my labels with the line direction. See below attached images. Thank you in advance.

FME has disabled truncating a Spatialite table, so I need a hack to do it anyway. I want it to exist so that other applications can read it after it is updated.I need to truncate rather than drop_and_create to refresh the table with an insert because I have another transformer right afterwards doing an SQLExecutor that does a selection from a large table in the same sqlite database. It seems that a lock is added that prevents the drop/create.So you might think that I could hack the truncate using SQLExecutor, but no! All database operators are disabled in FME for spatialite so the "DELETE FROM table" is not allowed.Never mind I will use Python. Ah, but now that I am using FME 64 bit I need to use Python3.6 and that is now from Anaconda which does not have sqlite as a standard module for ArcGISPro, so my python hack also fails.Well then, I will just shell out to sqlite.exe. But wait, FME implements it as sqlite_fme.dll, not a EXE.I can truncate the table if I use a filegeodata

I have some tables in a spatialite database, and I want to truncate the tables.It seems there is no TRUNCATE command in sqlite/spatialite so I've used 'DELETE FROM <my table>' in SQL Exector.I get a rejected feature with the following log message (in red text)."SPATIALITE reader: In ExecuteSQL(): sqlite3_step(DELETE FROM boundaries): SQL logic error or missing databaseSPATIALITE reader: Unable to execute SQL statement 'DELETE FROM boundaries'SPATIALITE reader: Unable to read feature type '__fme_execute_sql_results__'A fatal error has occurred. I have various Workbenches which have FFS readers as input. In couple of WBs, there is a single FFS reader as input, whereas in few WBs, there are multiple FFS readers. As these WBs are required to be executed across various regions, some of the regions do not have one or the other FFS file. These WBs are executed using workspace runners. Before every workspace runner, i have place FileExistenceChecker transformer to check for existence of FFS file in that folder. If the FFS file exists, it is directed to that runner, else it skips and goes to the next FileExistenceChecker transformer. I have a problem with WBs having multiple FFS readers, as even if a single FFS file is not present, the FME stops midway. Is there a method to disable that particular FFS reader from the workspace runner, after it checks that the FFS file is not present in the folder ? OR any other workaround to bypass that FFS reader?

HiWe are recieving a daily csv from a supplier and I would like to merge them all into one file (ideally write to a sql server database but could just be a csv). I have enabled the reader to read everything in the folder, which works fine. However, if I run this every day, it will become increasing inefficient to truncate the table being written and update it. Is there a way that I can check if a file has already been written and then just append ones that haven't?  ThanksMark

We have a corporate proxy server in our organisation. We have this server configured in our desktop version of FME successfully. We have just started trialling FME server and running a workbench returns the following error for a HTTPCaller(HTTPFactory): HTTP/FTP transfer error: 'SSL connect error'(HTTPFactory): Please ensure that your network connection is properly set up(HTTPFactory): No proxy settings have been entered. If you require a proxy to access external URLs, please ensure the appropriate information has been enteredI'm assuming this is because we have to configure a proxy for our FME Server application however I can find no information regarding this issue.

Hi community,I've gone back in to an old workspace and updated a feature reader transformer. It's then supposed to route into a Featuretypefilter to get a list of the feature types. Doesn't appear to be getting any results when I press 'update' in the Featuretypefilter transformer. Is this a bug or am I missing something here? See screenshots below. Am using ver 2020.1.

Hi everyone! I'm trying to make a PointOnAreaOverlay crossing a points database with a polygons database. The problem is that more than one point it's inside of a some polygons, and I wanna create one polygon for each point... even it that create duplicate polygons. When I use the tool PointOnAreaOverlay, it's creating just one polygon and taking the data from the first point. How can I create a separate polygon for each point? Thank you very much!!!

I am trying to clip a point cloud using building footprints from CityGML file. Pretty much like in this tutorial. However the Clipper transformation marks the whole cloud as Outside and none of the points as Inside.  Details:I have FME version 2020.1According to FME Data Inspector the building footprints and the point cloud are alignedBoth clipper and clippee have same coordinate system (EPSG:3301)LAS file I'm using can be downloaded from here and CityGML from hereThere is a similar issue from 7 years ago that was no helpThis sequence worked with 2020.0 version What could be causing this? Are there any alternatives to using clipper?

Hello all,  As far as I can tell the "Snapping Distance" param for the Snapper and the "Tolerance" param for the Intersector have to be hard coded or a workspace param. ie. They need to be known before the workspace runs. It would be really useful to have these values calculated within the workspace as the snapping distance/tolerance may depend on the data being processed. ie. It would be nice to be able to set the snapping distance from an attribute and the Snapper uses the value from the attribute of the first feature of each group entering the Snapper. Is this, or some variant, currently possible? I am considering splitting the workspace into two workspaces and having the first one calculate the value then calling the second one, however it would be much more convenient to be able to do the calculation of the snapping distance in the same workspace. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks Michael Pascoecc: @deanhowell​ , @luke.giles​ 

Hi all,  Has anyone had any luck trying to calculate a radius of on object from a point cloud?I have point data for several structures (e.g., wind turbine, water towers etc) and I have a fairly detailed Surface Model. Seems to be quite a tricky task for FME. I would probably try and clip the point cloud by some buffer which I assume will be bigger and then try and get all points which are some percentage of the max height withing the buffer.Once I have the points then it would be about creating a convex hull and calculate radius based on area (assuming a circle). Pretty crude... Any other ideas would be welcome. Thanks in Advance

I have a pipe-network with an inside and outside diameter (they are empty inside) how can I create those pipes. Bufferer only gives me solid pipes. The data are 3d shapefile lines.

Can I change the start or end height of a line separate from each other?The 3D-Forcer changes the height of the complete line. For example: I managed to change my 2D lines to 3D with the Surfacedraper now I want to add to the height -1m over the complete line. 

Is there any way that a FME workbench could be set up to take several thousand documents from a directory folder and load them into MS Sharepoint?

Hi,  I have a workbench that I have tested on fme desktop and works. I upload this exact workbench to the server and while it runs successfully it gives me a different output to that of the desktop version. I have not changed any parameters. Would anyone have an idea as to why this is happening or what is the best way to debug and fme server workbench if it is working correctly on desktop?ThanksB

we have a lot of data on the cloud and locally. does the desktop ESRI license provide the capabilities to connect to remote databases/data?

I want to use python request library to run webhoooks on FME Server. Hi community, I have a data set that contains polygons which have arcs in them and others that do not. I'm looking for a way to select or filter the polygons that contain the arcs so I can do some editing on them but I'm not sure how/if I can extract these attribute properties to work with. Below are two sample images of properties that I'm referring to. Any help would be appreciated.

An obvious issue that needs a warning.If you have a single Server Engine and want to call a Workspace through FMEServerJobSubmitter. You cannot make use of FMEServerJobWaiter. It'll never complete as you only have a single engine. 

Hi, I have a very simple workspace, the result of which is excel spreadsheets. However, there is a published parameter where I always need to inform dates, for example: 20200709030000, 20200710030000,20200712030000. Currently I need to run date by date, is there a way to run date by date automatically, that is, entering the required dates in one go?  Thank you very much

I am merging an excel spreadsheet and an ArcGIS SDE feature class on a common field. Some of the entries in the spreadsheet have a "Strikethrough" effect--these entries should be ignored, however, FME is matching them anyway. How can I get it to ignore any entries with strikethrough?
