Hello,I want to use a FTPCaller to push a file on a SFTP server. It doesn't work on my Windows 10 PC, but on another PC it works fine. And on my computer, I can access to the SFTP server using Filezilla or Winscp. I'm using FME workbench 2019.1.1.0 (20190801 - Build 19617 - WIN64) on Windows 10 version 1903. I get the error :"FTPCaller (FTPFactory): FTP info:  Trying XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:22...FTPCaller (FTPFactory): FTP info: TCP_NODELAY setFTPCaller (FTPFactory): FTP info: Connected to XXXXXXXXXXXX (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX) port 22 (#0)FTPCaller (FTPFactory): FTP info: Failure establishing ssh session: -43, FTPCaller (FTPFactory): FTP info: Closing connection 0FTPCaller (FTPFactory): HTTP/FTP transfer error: 'Failed initialization'" I join the full log of my workspace, with Debug option, if it helps.

Hi, we havw installed the FME Server just before few weeks, so we are beginners. I published the workspace into the fme Server and wanted to run the workspace. After directing to correct Respository, workspace and Service Download, I added a Published Parameters: Source- from My Folders in PC-per Temporary Uploads, (Adressen). I could also run a workspace, but anything happend, and after some time this "Information" appears.  I am not sure what to do, in this case. How or if to do something? 

Hello everyone, and thank you for looking! I am asking your help on an operation that I would like to do, but I am unsure how to do it in FME. I have a table such as this: ID AREA VILLAGE1 232 Oxenfurt1 452 Las Vegas1 923 New York2 124 Jacksonville2 298 Charlotte3 767 Las Vegas3 422 Charlotte3 223 Oxenfurtetc... What I want to get is table where ID is unique with a single VILLAGE entry, selected based on the maximum value of the AREA entry, and all other entries with the same ID removed. Taking the above table as example, the result that I would like would be: ID AREA VILLAGE1 923 New York2 298 Charlotte3 767 Las Vegasetc... How do I achieve this? Note that the input also has polygons, but those do not matter; I want to only have a resulting list of unique ID with the VILLAGE that has the highest AREA only, and delete the others. 

when i bring an autocad drawing into any fme wb it shows the text as a different size than what is in the drawing. If i use esri to display the drawing it shows exactly what is in the drawing. Why can't this be done in fme?another feature i would like is to be able to turn the autocad text into linework (with the string as an attribute). I have accomplished this in some software before (can't really remember which software). The first part of the request would be to quickly read a file make a change and write the file back out with only a small change. (virtually impossible to do with fme currently). The second part of the request would be to in effect use the drawing in fme to write out to many other software with the graphics of the drawing preserved.

Hi all,  I have multiple dwg files. I created concave with help of HullAccumulator and I would like to identify which concave hull intersects which concave hull. It is possible that one concave hull intersects more than one. For example if polygon 1 overlaps with Polygon 2 and Polygon 2, I would like to add this in the attribute of Polygon 1.  I am trying to combination AttributeCreator & Intersector and Tester but I could not get expected results until now.  Thanks in advance.

Hi,I found the perfect python script for my needs on the net the other day.For the first time I wanted to use the pythoncaller.However the input for my caller is a matrix.I'm pretty sure my matrix is correct as well as the script i want to use. Current Version: FME(R) 2020.1.2.1 (20200909 - Build 20624 - WIN64) Hello 1) Since upgrading to 2020.1 regardless of build version, the sorting function is no longer working and therefore causing issues. (Tick / Untick box does not work)  2) "Run-to-Selected" no longer working as it should. it carries on translating the entire workspace.  PS: Not discarding the fact that it might be a localised issue. ThanksSameer

Hi guys.Everything was working great with the 2018. But since I moved to the 2019, no matter what type of file I bring in the Data Inspector, it just crashes after trying to load it. The Workbench works fine though.I tried all the builds (of the 2019) that have been released so far, no success. I tried to re-install, uninstall, still nothing. But as soon as I get back to the 2018, Data Inspector works again.The problem is that I need the 2019 for latest import and visualization of IndoorGML. I suspect the bug is related to Qt5 because when I try to debug the application with mvsc2017 I have the following exception thrown:Unhandled exception at 0x00007FFE39931BFC (Qt5Gui_fme.dll) in fmedatainspector.exe: 0xC00000FD: Stack overflow (parameters: 0x0000000000000001, 0x000000CEEFE03F18).I did not update anything related to Qt5 lately. Anyone has an idea?Thanks in advance.

Hi ! I hope someone can help. I'm trying to create more attributes within existing list without exploding and rebuilding it. Like this: _list{0}.aaa : A_123_list{1}.aaa : A_234_list{2}.aaa : B_245 to _list{0}.aaa : A_list{0}.bbb :123_list{1}.aaa : A_list{1}.bbb: 234_list{2}.aaa : B_list{2}.bbb: 245 Is there a way? I'm specially looking for help on the list creating part. I can manage renaming the list values;) I was looking for a way to first do this:_list{0}.aaa : A_123_list{0}.bbb : A_123 and than do this:_list{0}.aaa : A_list{0}.bbb : 123 cheers,ronald 

I'm building a simple workspace to generate a (for now) simple dashboard for FME Server. I'm naturally using Workbench for this. But every time I run to test the workspace, it fails because the FME Server parameter isn't available on desktop:Starting translation...Undefined macro `FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DASHBOARD' dereferenced in file .....Program TerminatingTranslation FAILED.Why are these server parameters not just missing or blank, so I can run and test for them and run the workspace on desktop, instead of crashing my workspace ? They're readily available in the transformer dialogs.Any work-arounds for this ?Cheers 

 I'm trying to work out how to parse the SAMPLES attribute from the Trace component of the SEG-Y reader. The reader outputs the samples as encoded FME Binary which is represented as HEX in the attribute viewer. The samples are a byte array of 246 consecutive UINT16 readingsI want to parse the samples into a list of UNIT16 values so I can then do some analysis on them. I have tried a whole range of approaches to process the string into a list of numbers but nothing seems to work and I suspect I'm just missing something. Anyone have any ideas?

Dear All, I have a dgn file (version 7).I want to convert a dgn file into shapefile while still keeping the Fill values of the objects. Hi, I have a dataset with a class called drains, I no longer want drains to appear in the dataset and would like to merge/dissolve these on their nearest neighbour. When I do this at the moment, many dissolve and the neighbours attributions wins out, but in some cases (it appears to be when the drain is the bigger feature) the drains attribution remains. Is it possible to dissolve all drains into their neighbour and always have the neighbours attribution remaining?Thanks for any help. B

Hi, I have a dataset that as part of a cleanup I am generalising. It is a vector dataset derived from aerial photography, therefore it has a slightly pixelated look. The point of the generalising is to remove this look and 'smooth' the output. The problem is that at times the output becomes too generalised. See below where relatively straight lines become quite pronounced. In this instance, I do not want the lines to change much. But for example below these particular parameters do a great job. Here, with the same parameters as above it has done a great job of removing the pixelated look.Is there any way to limit the generalisation of the 90 degree angles and allowing the smoothing to take place in other areas?I think it might be unlikely there is a solution, it may just be a limitation of the generaliser transformer. I have tried all the different smoothing parameters/algorithms and this seems to be the best. I'm currently using the NURBfit (Smooth) with a degree of basis

This is actually a water network routing challenge, but I'm going to describe it like a road network problem since the "Nearest Fire Station" problem is a classical network/GIS problem and this is just the urban water supply network equivalent.I have to create a fast-calculating FME workflow that processes 75,000 possible, independent, "Road Intersection Closure" events that may or may not result in some other Intersection "Nodes" also becoming inaccessible to all 100 "Fire Stations" as a result of the closure.This particularly happens when you close a critical Intersection that cuts off all routes to the downstream intersections where they do not have a alternative network route ring road.Ironically, I have a proprietary piece of network analysis software that finishes the above calculation in 20 minutes and is the benchmark for an equivalent FME workflow. Trying to connect a Smallworld db for the first time. When I hit on the ... next to "Table List" then it keeps loading.Are there settings I should check and can I find some logging somewhere?

I would like to filter my dataset based on addresses that don't match. The Tester is not giving the expected output. Please see the screenshots below: The first screenshot (Tester1) is of Tester Parameters box where I have set the addresses of the joined dataset to not equal each other. The second screenshot (Tester2) shows the transformer output and as you can see the addresses are the same. Thank you for your help!  

Hello,I am trying to setup my web service and a web connection for the Sharepoint online connector, and have downloaded the FME Hub package safe.microsoft-sharepoint-1.0.0.fpkg. I have successfully used the default values supplied with the package in my FME desktop environment, and have setup an FME process to use multiple actions from the sharepointonline connector - which will simplify my organisations workflow in this area greatly. However: I need to configure this to run on FME Server 2019.0 and have registered an app on azure for FME, and have my client ID and client secret. Hello,I have a shp layer of lines for which I need to calculate the length of each line then round it to suppress the decimals. I use the lenghtcalculator to get the lenght of each line but for some lines I get results such as 7.566995918750763e-10 or 1.7276990785794134e-9With these results, I get 0 after the attributerounder. I even tried a stringformatter to reduce the amount of decimals but theses objets also turn into 0.Is there a way to avoid getting so much precision when calculating the lenght ? Or another way to calculate the lenght (I get the same result with an attribute creator and length() ) ? Many thanks in adance!Ann

This dialog window showed up during my translation. It does not show any error but I am curious as to why this happened... This is because when I run the workbench for multiple times it sometimes shown and sometime it does not. May I know what is the reason behind this?

I like to test out new beta functionality and would like to have a better idea about when the next official major release would be available. I end up telling colleagues about this new functionality and when they ask when it will be available, I would like to give them a good estimate of when that would be out.  I wasn't sure Safe was shooting for a certain month for each major release version, or they just happen whenever they are ready. For example, I'm looking at the new dynamic FME Server App Gallery updates that are to be release with 2020.2 and would like to know when that might be available to download for the official release.

Hi. I have a feature class (ESRI filegeodatabase) with lines and one with points. The tolerence of the featureclasses are 0.02m, and I need to disperse/move some points which are within the tolerence of each other (or else they are overlapping according to ESRI Utility Network).   I want to disperse/move the points by 0.025m so they no longer overlap. Just like this: How can I accomplish this? What I've tried so far is finding overlapping points with a neighborfinder and creating a custom transformer for moving the points. The custom transformer uses a snipper (with a set distance) and coordinateExtractor to get new coordinates for the points, vertexcreator for replacing the actual point and then another neighborfinder to find out if the point has other overlapping points. The distance used in the snipper is incremented by each iteration. But this isn't working. Am I maybe overcomplicating things? :)
