I am utilizing FME Cloud (Server 2020) to run a regular ETL pipeline from a Firebird database using their Jaybird JDBC driver. Working with a local instance and FME Desktop seems to have no issues with connecting and running SQL statements.The database cannot have external ports opened due to sensitive data being stored within it. However, we are able to create an SSH tunnel to a jump server that is otherwise locked down which FME Cloud could then use to create a connection. Needing to keep a secure encrypted connection throughout the entire path I have managed to load some external Python libraries and establish a temporary SSH tunnel from the FME Cloud instance to the jump server for the duration of the workbench execution. I have tested this connection by using the Firebird Python library in a PythonCaller to execute an SQL statement successfully.However, when I try to use the SQLCreator or SQLExecutor with the already established to work JDBC driver with this local SSH tunnel it fa

Hello, I have some 3D Polyline (Polyline ZM) of which I am interested in the lowest/maximum height in order to be able to make a further query with this information. All polylines have a different height at each of their vertices. Is there an elegant solution in FME for extracting the min/max height of a line and then attaching it as an attribute?  Thank you very much for your support.

Hi There, I am trying to create my own folder structure with the help of this article:https://community.safe.com/s/article/create-specific-directory-structure-in-the-data-do?t=1604933837460Setting the FME_SERVER_DEST_DIR to the FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_TEMP\\myfolder still sends all the results into a fme engine folder (fme_temp/engine/fmeengines/localhost_Engine4/_auto_zip_dataset_1604932399611_14776.zip) and the download zip file still contains the standard writer folders (ACAD_1, ACAD_2, etc) and not the expected myfolder name.Another issue I have is that using the filecopy writer to copy 2 files from the FME Server resources into the data download zip file results in an empty zip file. Did anybody successfully use this method to create a custom folder structure AND copy files into it? The query fails, because FME wraps my query into a SELECT-INTO construct, that requires "CREATE TABLE" permission, which my task (of course) doesn't have.Q1: Why does FME wrap my query into such a construct?Q2: What other ways do I have to accomplish a guaranteed read-only query?Using 2020.1Cheers

I am trying to read an esri file geodatabase that is zipped but I get this error Geodatabase Error (-2147024893): The system cannot find the path specified.Could not open File Geodatabase dataset `C:\\Instaplat\\workspaces\\TexasWorkspaces\\INSTAPLAT_PROTOTYPE.gdb.zip' for readingA fatal error has occurred. Hi!I would like to make a spatial join between two dataset. I usually use NeighborFinder but my problem is it duplicate each candidate each time a base is near. I would prefer for this time that each candidate can be used only once. So if a candidate match with a base then the candidate is not available for the others bases. In the example, the blue feature nearest the green, take the value "10" and the other blue feature, take empty value. Is it possible? Thanks!

The json file has one row of data and i want this to be added to every row in the shapefile (the shapefile has other fields that will be updated by another shapefile). I have a counter transformer in a workspace and it is giving me a weird count value. The value that comes out is : @Value(__fme_ft_return_value73e8b8c0-7916-4466-bd7c-e869a55224a1)  I have never seen anything but a number come out so I am baffled.

Hi, I have a ESRI-JSON file which geometry looks likes this: "geometry":{"hasM":true,"paths":[[[333334.24000000209,6611588.879999999,0], ...Note that the hasM property is true.I am trying to convert that file (among other operations) but when it is read by FME it seems that the third coordinate is parsed as a Z value and not as a measure: Where I should expect something like that (2D but with true measure): Question: how to deal with that data to output a true M-Value? I am thinking of two approches:Find a proper setting in the ESRI-JSON reader what would parse the M-value as a true measure and not a Z ; I did not find that kind of settings if it existsLet the reader as it but find a way to transfer/copy the Z value into a M value using transformers; I did not find the proper method yet Any thoughts about this? Thanks a lot!Jean

Hi, I have a problem that I can't figure out how to approach. I have polygon Shapaefiles of fields on a farm over a number of years (one file per year) with attributes specifying what crops are grown on each field that year and a unique ID for each field. I would like to merge these into one file where each field has an attribute for each year specifying the crop grown.The problem is that the fields are not constant over time. Exemplified in the fig below. A field may be broken up into multible fields (case 1) or the oposite merged into a bigger field (case 2). The fields may also change in size and/or geometry (cases 3 and 4). The fig also tries to illustrate the result I am looking for. If the geometry changes according to these cases the fields generally recieve new ID:s. Any ideas on how to approach this problem? p=field, c=crop Best,Johan 

Hi Guys, As per below image, I am trying to split a complex linear polygon by its center line segments. I have not able to find a transformer to do so or any post that works for me scenario. Any ideas would be highly welcomed   For further context: I am trying to divide a polygon by 1km2.  For simple polygons, I am using Dimitri's approach within the following link - https://community.safe.com/s/question/0D54Q000080hEUV/divide-an-irregular-polygon-into-n-number-of-polygons-of-equal-or-approximately-equal-area  However, when a site is linear and complex, as the one above, I have trouble to divide the polygon correctly as I need to avoid scenario 4 below which contains multiple polygons whereas I would like to being able to divide the polygon by following an spatial logic. That is when I came up with obtaining the center line of the polygon and splitting it in different sections, which is my question above. However, if there is another way to split a polygon by specific size avoiding

Does someone recognize that Regex Lookbehind does not work in the string function FindRegEx, but does work in the StringSearcher transformer? Pattern: (?<=[_-])\\d+\\.\\d*$String: Foobar_1.023 RegardsDaniel Update: I did some testing, this is my result:Conclusion: StringSearcher and ReplaceRegEx behaves as expected with lookaround. StringReplacer doesn't handle lookaround at all.FindRegEx handles lookahead, but not lookbehind. Test workspace is attatched.

We have a FME 2020 workspace using python 3.7+ running successfully on Desktop.When running on FME Server 2020 (FME Server for Docker 2020.1.3.0 build 20632 linux x64) the workspace failed due to the python version loaded by the FME Server engine (python 3.6. coming with the image). It looks like python 3.6 is the most current for Ubuntu 18.04 The question is: Is there any recommended way (by safe) to enable python 3.7 in the environment we have? thanksKlaus

We have to access .jxl files from trimble connect, Till now we are using FTPCaller in the reader dataset where .jxl were stored in the FTP site now we have to access these files direcly from trible connect cloud. Could somebody provide your views to resolve this issue.

I have multiple .dwg files and a shape while which consists of polygons (Grids). I would like to clip the dwgs by the polygons and save them to individual new dwgs.  I tried Clipper and LineOnAreaOverlayer. However, quite a lot of objects are rejected as I have different geometries in it or objects like in the image How can I clip all objects in the dwg regardless from object types?  Thanks in advance.

I'm new to FME. And I have a shapefile. The *.shp is footprint of a building. I want to give an extrusion value to it manually. And then write it as a CityGML file(*.gml). So, briefly, I want to make a very simple prism with an extruded shapefile. Could you please give me an information about this?
