Hi all, I have a question about FME Cloud and the Temp folder.  I have found that the results from the DataDownload and also when data is uploaded to FME Server it goes into the System/Temp resource and not into the Temp resource.  Is there a specific reason for this? I've just been looking at this article and have bumped up my temp space. But when looking and the usage on the FME Cloud console it seems it's never really used.  By contrast the Primary disk is getting used constantly for tasks like writing out DataDownload results and Upload results.  Any thoughts? Should I just reduce my temp again? @gerhardatsafe​ what are your thoughts? Thanks in advance

I have successfully used readers that point to download links for datasets in the past. I have a situation I am up against now where using this method does not work. I have two different links I am trying to read from: Link 1:http://gis.co.slope.nd.us/This link takes you to a map viewer with a button that allows you to download either a geopackage or a shapefile of the dataset. However, when I try to right click on the download button, there is not an option to copy the URL of the button itself, so I am not able to use a reader to download then process the data. Link 2https://adams.offroadsoftware.com/php/downloadShape.php?isbnai=4e57016981c3155bb6834af1ce0389aed3460eb0343d94d01e8379a88138b68e When I click this link it downloads a zipped geopackage without taking me to a web page. Similarly, I cannot get a reader to successfully read this link. Does anyone have any advice/tips/solutions for either of the above two items? Thank you in advance!  

Hi,i'm wondering if someone knows which mix of transformers i can use to 'align' (extend or trim) polygons along lines? I have polygons of road area and i have a line which is the separation between the road and the sidewalk . the point is that the polygon edge of the sidewalk is not align along the line and i'm looking for a way to do this for thousands of them. In Arcmap, the tool 'Align to shape' is the key to that but definitely not an option for thousands of areas...  thank you for reading this. I have a transformer that Lists a set of companies in a database schema and then fires off a set of workflows. These end in 5 SQLExecutors which migrate the data into another database. I want to be able to run a final tidy up process after these are all finished. The input must come from the List_Company_Schema process, not the SQLExectors but it must wait for them to finish. How do I do this?

I have fed it into a NullAttributeMapper to make sure all Nulls, Missing and Empty fields are uniform. That's fine, and so is the Date transformation when inspected. However it still rejects any of the Null fields, and when it outputs to the AttributeManager, all of the fields are then Null. Even the ones with a date value. I've checked the "Passthrough Nulls, Empty and Missing" values to "Yes", but still no luck. It seems to apply the null to everything in the DateTimeConverter.I've tried with a new Transformer/rebuilding that section, and have also restarted the workspace, as well as clearing any temp files. Any help? Thanks

I have two featureWriter fed by same feature. I want to write on a PostgreSQL database. I specify one with a schemas (Table Qualifier) and the other not.After that I want to use the result who was write to manage my foreign keys. The summary is the same (2 features written). Is it normal that when I specify a table qualifier, any of my feature can't be used after the FeatureWriter ?

I have a spreadsheet derived from a pdf report containing dates/times tickets were purchased in a number of car parks. Unfortunately, the car park name is not a separate column, but instead it appears as a heading before the data. Is there a way to split the data at the end of each section? Eventually I would like the car park name as a separate column, but I guess to start with I need to split the data into different sections? Any ideas how this could be done? Many thanks

I have a simple workbench that read data from a table and produce a number of Excel files. Depending on the config, the output can be 2, 3 or more Excel files (via FeatureWriter). At the end, I want to send the result by email. If I use Emailer and put my attachment manually, it works perfecly, but if I want it to be more flexible, I want as many attachment as my workbench produce. Is it possible to concatenate the output dataset produced ? I tried but failed... any Idea ? No zip please!

I change FME Proxy Settings from "Use system proxy settings" to "No Proxy". But FME is still using the system's settings. So I edited the systems's settings and disabled proxy, and removed proxy settings from environment variables. FME still uses proxy settings. I restarted FME, and it still uses proxy settings. I can't connect to the proxy right now, so the transformation crashes. Snapshot below. How can I get FME to not use any proxy? FME 2020 here. Thanks in advance, Mike

I have the FME Server Core running in a CentOS instance in AWS and a number of engines on separate instances. The shared resources folder is in an Elastic File System mounted to all the engines and the Core. I noticed that when new folders are created from the FME Web UI, they are created by the root user and not by the fmeserver user as I was expecting. This is causing the engines to have problems writing into those new folders because the fmeserver user (which is the user that runs the workspace) lacks the necessary permissions.  I can't keep modifying every new folder's permissions to allow for the fmeserver user to be able to write to them. What could be a more permanent solution? Can the Core be changed to use the fmeserver user instead when creating new directories?

So, I've read some of the earlier responses to similar questions but I don't know that I gleaned a definitive answer for this.The setup is in Oracle there are ArcGIS generated views of Versioned spatial data tables Eg. TableName_EVW and that View has SHAPE as an ST_Geometry (instead of Oracle's own SDO_Geometry).Yes, I know I can read this with the SDE Reader, but I need to get around SDE at the moment as it is misbehaving in the Covid world of VPNs whereas direct connection via native Oracle works MUCH better.So:All the FME Oracle Readers tried recognise the SHAPE field, but the Reader log tells me that it is skipping over the SHAPE field (presumably because it isn't SDO_Geometry data type)........despite that the log also tells me it recognises the Data Type as ST_Geometry. So the Readers by default return the non-spatial fields, and no geometries because it skips over the SHAPE field.SQLCreator/SQLExecutor methods don't work that well either. Same result even

Hi,So after lots of testing, it's looks like when I export shapefiles using the FeatureWriter and include the .sbn Spatial Index, the shapefiles do not function properly. When first loading them in ArcMap, they appear to be ok, but when zooming, selecting, panning the map, I get very odd results with certain features suddenly dissapearing, not being selectable, etc. If I modify my FeatureWriter to not include any spatial index, then the shapefiles work fine. I only have this problem when I include the spatial index. I would like to include the spatial index. Is there a fix for this?? Thanks,

Is it possible to read the coordinate system from the input features and use it as source for the ESRI reprojector? Background is, that I don't want to define a transformer for each UTM zone as the destination coordinate system and the geographic transformation will be identical for all, so it would make sense to read the source coordinate system from the input files. Unfortunately I have no idea how to realize this. I've tried a User parameter, but I have no idea how to dynamically populate this value with the source coordinate system.

This some détails.Our Bloc "Orientage Crosse" has an custom orientation (Print Screen 1)Print Screen 1The dwg source has some block "Orientage Crosse" with a rotation and Angle1 (Print Screen 2 to Print Screen 6). In FME with the readers, the name of the block it's not "Orientage Crosse" but a specifi name like *U365, *U400,... Hello Everyone, I am currently trying to upload files to an scp environment using the pythoncaller in FME with the paramiko and scp package.It all works well when I run it in a seperate Python environment. In FME however I get the error 'AttributeError: Raw' which, according to Google and stackoverflow, is related to the fact that I need to upgrade the cryptography package. Based on the FME documentation I should be able to do this using the following cmd: fme.exe python -m pip install <package_name> --upgrade--target <package_destination_folder> I am however wondering if I 'should' do this. Are there any FME dependencies/related tasks that might be impacted? Does anyone have previous experience with upgrading python packages in FME? All help is greatly appreciated, Kris

I'm trying to calculate a 7-days moving average in FME 2017.Using "DateTimeConverter" and the "Cumulative" option in "StatisticCalculator" I've managed to calculate a moving average on a weekly basis. However, the calcul of the average re-intializes at the start of each week with the value of the first day of the week.Is there a way to implemente a moving average with a known frequency (7 days in this case, 365 in another I'm working on)?Thanks

@takashiHi !Any hints how to align label with the line direction ? I'm using a 2DVectorCalculator, Featuremerger, offsetter and vertex creator. But I'm not always having the right orientation of my labels with the line direction. See below attached images. Thank you in advance.
