Hello, I am currently working on adding data (a source file in Geopackage format containing point and polygon tables) to our Oracle enterprise database. I am using a dynamic workspace to process the data and an external table (CSV file) to define the required schema in the FeatureWriter. When writing the data to the database, three additional attributes (not defined in my schema) were recorded. They are called “rotation”, “textstring” and “height”. After some research, I realised that these are likely linked to the following FME attributes: fme_rotation, fme_text_string and fme_text_size and that this is related to the “fme_point” geometry. I have tried several ways to remove these attributes but have not succeeded (exposing the attributes and removing them before the writer, telling the writer not to write them in ‘attribute to remove’, writing the tables containing polygons and those containing points separately in different writers.Do you have any idea

It seems I have no place to force FME to include the code_verifier parameter in the request body to obtain a token (see requirements below). Any ideas of how to work around this in FME? The postman equivalent is selecting the grant type as "Authorization Code (with PKCE)". I can use the same challenge and verifier more than once, just need to include it in the body rather than a querystring.  Per the platform's API docs: Parameters sent in Request Body, Form-URL Encoded. (cannot use JSON or querystring)code=<code received in callback url>client_id=<Application OAuth Client ID>client_secret=<Application OAuth Client Secret>grant_type=authorization_coderedirect_uri=<User redirect URL (from step 4)>code_verifier=<User Generated Code Verifier>  

As the title suggests, I’m having an issue when running FME (2022.2) from the command line. I’m clipping several LAZ files with a polygon grid, and FME automatically puts the output files in one folder per LAZ file. I’m technically fine with this behavior as I was going to fan it out anyway, but the extension is included in the folder name (e.g. FILENAME_1.laz), which the following processing step in my pipeline cannot handle.  The problem only occurs when run in the command line. Is there any setting anywhere so that I can get rid of the file extension in the folder names? 

I am exporting a large dataset to Geopackages divided into municipality, county and nationwide datasets. But an additional file is left together with the zipped geopackage file.The full file name of the extra file is something like Basisdata_0301_Oslo_25832_FKB-Gronnstruktur_GPKG.gpkg.tmp_rtree_bunnsjikt.db. Have anyone else seen this? Could this be related to some kind of size limitation of the Geopackage/SQLite format? Are there any workaround or solution? The FME version

I need to use a Oauth2 token as password to connect to a PostgreSQL database. The problem is that when I try to paste a stringline over 245 characters the connection fails. When reopening the connection parameters the password is red and says ‘Value not allowed’. On another laptop (FME 2022.2) it all works fine. Any idea what causes this problem?

It’s a general error stating ‘ArcGIS Online report job failed or returned an unknown status’. I can see in Survey123 within ArcGIS Online that the report has indeed kicked off and is generated, but my belief is that it is taking too much time to return that info back to FME so FME says its a failure. I am using the AI-assist within FME Workbench very often. last time was yesterday.unfortunately today i am having troubles to see my history and cannot start a new chat.i am getting an unknown error.even when i am logging out and logging in again. we also checked our firewall for any blocked sites and traffic.are there any issues? kind regards.Laurens

I’m having an FME workspace that has a custom transformer that is set to parallel running.when running the workspace from FME form there is no issue, everything runs smoothly.If I want to schedule this workspace (due to lack of FME flow) using Windows task scheduler the workspace terminates because none of the cild processes run succesfully.They all crash with the message ‘Access is denied’. This is the commandline for a child process:When not running in parallel, there is no issue.anyone an idea what can cause this issue? it’s really fustrating on how to solve this?

I think the answer is No, but I hope someone can tell me that I am wrong.I want a user to be able to select any existing database or webconnection for a custom transformers. Is there a parameter that allows me to do that?Why I don’t think it is possible:Existing parameters require you to select a database format first webservices python doesn’t offer the capability to get a connection without knowing its name 

Hello!I am trying to make sure that we have compatibility across all our different platforms. Our organization has recently upgraded to ArcGIS Pro 3.6. I was taking a look at the compatibility matrix and noticed that for ArcGIS Pro 3.6 is says the minimum FME version to have is 2025.2. Does this mean that FME Form and Flow 2025.1 cannot be used with ArcGIS Pro 3.6?Any help is greatly appreciated!

I currently have the older Esri ArcGIS Online web connector and the new one configured. FME 2025.1.3.When I try to create a new background map, I only see the older web connection as an options for Esri AGOL maps. I’ve read an old closed thrad saying that there was an issue on virtual machines with FME 2023/2024.At our side we did not experience any issue on virtual machines with FME 2022-2024.But we just installed FME 2025.1.1 and get this issue “SetThreadDescription entry point not found in Qt6Core_fme.dll.Any idea? Newer SDKs (v4/5/6) of the ECW image format supports a fourth alpha band. This seems to begin to occur for rasters from drones. It would be nice to include support for the new v4 (or even v5 and v6) of the ECW SDK in FME, as newer versions of ArcGIS Pro is able to open these files and support are arriving in AutoCAD Civil 3D as well, even though there still seems to be occasional issues with large four-channel ECW files in AutoCAD. The support for newer ECW SDKs in other GIS software, that FME often supports with data in many workflows calls for the inclusion of support for the newer ECW SDK version in FME too.Support for the newer versions would be desireable in both reading and writing.

Trying to create a new branch version, then update geometry on the existing features. I have the new geometry joined with Object ID from default, but running into issues on the safe.esri-agol writer.Where version was set to "Jan272026b":ArcGISFeatureServiceWriter: The ArcGIS REST API returned an error: HTTP Error Code: 400 : 'Unable to complete operation.' I already have a support case open for this, but I’m curious if anybody else is having credential issues with the AzureFileStorageConnector (Azure Storage package 4.2.1)  in FME 2025?I’m getting the error message:  AzureFileStorageConnector: Connection 'xxx Azure Storage' does not exist. Check connection parameter and connection definitions in FME options and try again.Creating a new web connection does not solve this issue. 

Hi! I’m trying to read dwg files containing AEC objects and have found that the Civil 3D reader should be the one to use for this purpose. With this reader, I manage to read features but they are just a proxy of the correct objects that I’m trying to read.Is there an automated solution for this in FME (some parameter that I’m missing?) or do I have to save the model in a separate dwg file as described in this post (8 years ago) before I can read all objects correctly in FME?Thanks!

Hi Folks,For reading and writing ArcGIS Online feature services we are transitioning to the newer Esri ArcGIS Feature Service format in FME Flow 2024.2 from the soon to be deprecated Esri ArcGIS Online (AGOL) Feature Service (at least according to this article)My problem is that now the reader seems to read dates as Epoch time in milliseconds! Obviously this can be worked around but it is quite painful to fix up the many workspaces we have which used the older reader and read dates as YYYYMMDD etc. especially when writing back to AGOL where the dates have to be back in  YYYYMMDD.Any thoughts?
