Hi All,I’m new to FME and trying to convert dgn(V8) to GIS data. One of the parameters I want from the dgn is the level overrides symbology (such as color, style and weight) which shown in the attached image. I have checked the reader format attributes but with no luck on it. Anyone knows how to get those parameters from dgn? Many Thanks!

Dear FME community, I have an important question concerning the FME workbench. I would like to know how one can extract the coordinates of the intersection-points of a line intersecting an area (a mesh with poligons). The coordinates of the intersection-points should have a maximal precision.  To give you some more information about my problem I have attached some screenshots.  here you can see a part from my workbench. Basically I just want to somehow combine the mesh and the lines and then extract the intersection points.   here you can see the lines I was talking about above and the 3d-mesh. Now each line intersects the mesh at some point. I want to receive the coordinates of these intersection-points.  I would be very thankful, if you could provide any information on how to solve this problem. If you need any more infos, just let me know :)

I have an existing ArcSDE table with several fields but there is one field called 'state' that has no value. I want to assign the value 'NY' to this field with no conditions, so all records should have the field 'state' with a value 'NY'. I can do this in ArcMap or using SQL, but when I try it with FME using the Feature Writer it does not update anything to that field. I have an Attribute Manager that sets the value 'NY' to the state field, I then connect it to the FeatureWriter Feature Operation: UpdateTable Handling: Use ExistingUpdate Spatial Column: No Row Selection:Columns: state FME Desktop 2019 Thank you. 

Suppose there are some features in different state, I want those features to be written like that: ABC_STATENAME_DATETIME.xls.,, so that all the features for a particular state are written in a separate file with datetime and all features in other state are written in other file like that. I tried using attributevalue and datetimeformat in feature writer but it was taking too much time because datetime was being calculated for million for features that were coming in. I just want it to be a 1 file with a final timestamp, not multiple. Any easy/fast way?

Hello, I am trying to create a workspace that takes multiple user parameters and reads Esri Shapefile using the feature reader. But I have problems using the Feature reader when the dataset is not hardcoded. This works fine, no errors:$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)\\$(ENV_NAME)\\sve_1milj_Sweref_99_TM_shape.zip\\svk\\riks\\*.shp But if I create another parameter called FME_SERVER_FILE_PATH and set its value to sve_1milj_Sweref_99_TM_shape.zip\\svk\\riks\\*.shp. So that the feature reader uses the dataset:$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)\\$(ENV_NAME)\\$(FME_SERVER_FILE_PATH) The Error I get is: Shapefile Reader: 'C:\\ProgramData\\Safe Software\\FME Server\\resources\\data\\3DViewer-Dev' is not a valid Shapefile and cannot be read Is it something I'm missing or maybe a bug? I am using FME Server 2021  

After change the version of WB from 2.7 to 3.6+, the startup python script doesn't work automatically. How we can enable it ? I changed the version of python script in both places (in translation part and Python compatibility part)

Hello everyone, Is it possible to place the heights of points in the CAD format in FME, but so that the text does not overlap with the entities (lines, blocks, other texts, polygons, etc.). I have some simple polygons in a shapefile where, for texturing purposes, it is important where the first edge is compared to other features. I created a workspace that explodes the polygons and reorders the edges based on the other features. At this point everything looks good.However, when I use AreaBuilder to rebuild the polygons, on some (most are ok), the edge ordering is not maintained. How can I keep the edge order I want?

I am running a test workspaces closely derived from offset_reproject_vector test workspace in the FME Desktop 2021.1 SDK (this file is located in C:\\Program Files\\FME\\pluginbuilder\\samples\\cpp\\test). When I run it in FME this error is displayed: BADNEWS: Module 'TFS_VARIABLESCHEMA' is unavailable for use with this FME edition. The derived test workspace is in the same test folder as the offset_project_vector test project. How do I resolve this?

I'm trying to filter records for the last three years of data but want to avoid having to edit the transformer on a yearly basis (ie. TestFilter: Year= 2021, Year= 2020, Year = 2019 - necessitating a yearly update at the change of the year). I'm hoping to find a way to set up an attribute filter or test filter that can be set on the relative time frame (ie. Year = this year, Year = last year, Year = two years ago). I'm guessing there is a simple way to do this with the text editor but I haven't been able to figure it out!

I have a table that i managed to extract 2 coordinates, but the coordinates don't show up for all rows how can i do this? Another question is that I'm going to process several files with different values ​​for these two fields, how can I repeat the values ​​for each different file too?   Thanks 

Using FME Desktop 2021. I have an existing field LicenseNumber with null values and with numeric values. I want to create a new field called License_Values into a table if the following conditions are met: Condition 1If LicenseNumber is null Then assign null values to License_Values Condition 2If LicenseNumber is not null (it has values) Then assign 123 to License_Values I tried AttributeCreator with a Condition value but it does not work at all. All it does is assign 123 to every record in the new field called License_Value (Condition 2) and it does not write the null values to License_Value (Condition 1) . My final objective is to have the new field with null values and 123 as long as the conditions are met.  Thank you, much appreciated.
