I had a workbench created with desktop 2019.2.1. It had a s3connector in it and worked fine for over 6 months now. I recently installed 2020.1.3 on the same machine, the workbench worked fine in 2020.1.3 and was saved in 2020.1.3. Today, I installed 2020.1.3 on two other machines which had not had any FME installed before. The workbench works fine on one machine, but on the other machine, at opening, it gives an error related to the s3connector. See attached screen capture. It then opens the workspace, but the s3connector is gone. Is there a way to fix this? I really want this workbench to work on this machine.

Hi all, I'm working on data conversion from IFC to CityGML, the IFC data are generated from both Revit and Civil 3D.I followed this training and it works fine at most time : https://community.safe.com/s/article/bim-to-gis-intermediate-ifc-lod-300-to-lod-4-cityg However, I'm currently stuck in 2 problems:The output CityGML's size are quite large, is there a way to reduce the size during the conversion processMost information I could find about converting IFC to CityGML by FME are about building models or related elements. How about Civil elements? For example, IfcCivilElement to CityGML? Thanks in advance if anyone could share some idea. 

Hi. I have read the citygml data and changed wall and ground surface. How can I draw the new wall surface between them(without extrude)? I need all as surfaces at the end.

Hello FME Users,I have JSON file in it having Polygon and "coordinates"  I could not able to create geometry from it I tried to use JSONFragmenter and Fragment as formate = GeoJSON but could not had luck. Can any one help me to create Geometry I am also attaching JSON file for reference  

I am using FME 2020. I have a boundary layer that I update in ArcPRO every month, I need to create a "Changed" feature service on AGO that will show the changes for each month over the year. I can create the initial service layer but I cannot add the changes to it. I have a change detector that is finding all the records to insert but the AGO writer fails. The goal is to show all the changes to the boundary over the year. For example if I change the Austin boundary every month I should have 12 records for Austin at the end of the year. This is the only error I get from the workbench 

I'm quite new with FME and working with coordinates. I'm trying to use the AttributeReprojector transformer to convert NAD27 Lat/Long coordinates on my features into WGS84 Lat/Long coordinates in my workspace. I'm having some difficulty with selecting one from the many choices. The question I have is when I open the Coordinate System Gallery to select the coordinate systems for the transformer parameters, I see at least 3 choices that look similar to me for WGS84, ie they use the same datum, units, projection and ellipsoid. Does anyone know what the differences are?Question 2: For NAD27 it seems another step more complicated. I'm having some difficulty figuring out what the differences are with so many choices. Eg is there a difference between all of these NAD27 datums? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to connect to a salesforce account with the Salesforce reader. I keep getting an HTTP/FTP error "Could not connect to the server". I assume this is a proxy error where the reader is being blocked by my organization's firewall. To fix it, I would need to submit a Port Open Request to allow the traffic inside my organization. But I have no idea which port or URLs FME is trying to hit with the Salesforce reader. Is there a tool inside of fme that would allow me to see where FME is getting hung up? Or something outside of FME to look at that information?

I am facing one issue is StringConcatenatorGroupBy this function not exist in FME 2016. Any other alternative for this ?

I have a workspace that copies a file from one location to another. Now I want to use the copied file as input to a reader. How do I do that? 

Hi, I would like to remove slivers but not overlaps, is this possible? The AreaGapOverlapCleaner does both and it doesn't seem to allow the separation of these. Thanks for any help.B

Hello,I need to refresh six materialized views (Oracle) in sequence. Each refresh must start only after completion of the previous one. Is a chain of SqlExecutor the correct approach or FME will try launching other sqlexecutors without waiting Oracle response? I've noticed that more than one seems to be active at same time. Suggestions? TIARoberto

Hi, I make many requests to a webservice using HTTPCaller, the trouble is that the credentials expire after 5 minutes.  I use one HTTPCaller to obtain a new API token and then I use another HTTPCaller to get the required data back. In that time the token is valid I can run at least 100 calls to the service. What transformers can I use to ensure that after every 100 calls I call the HTTPCaller to get a new API Token and then use that token in the other HTTPCaller to get the data. I was thinking loops and test filters but I can't get the logic this morning. Any help would be very appreciated.  Thanks

Hi all, I'm trying to output some 3D data to FileGeodatabase in order to view in ArcPro. I don't want to use the ESRI writer because we are using FME Cloud and the ESRI writer doesn't work on Linux. I also don't want to use I3S. It must be FileGeodatabase. Anyway the issue I have is that the output MultiArea features get messed up when looking in ArcPro.  Shape Multipatch looks fine but isn't possible with the API version of the FileGeodatabase writer. When running though a GeometryValidator in FME I get a lot of Self-Intersection in 2D - but that is expected given these are 3D features.Perhaps I'm missing something. Does is make sense to create MultiAreas here?

Hi,I am having a mental block on this one (it may just be this time of night!).I am trying to write a single polygon as it's own feature class within a geodatabase using the Geodatabase Open API writer. The Feature Class is being created, but no objects are being drawn within the feature class.I have attached the log file.Cheers.

Hey folks, As per the question itself, I'm really struggling with (what I assumed) would be a straightforward task. (Straightforward in that I cannabalised an older workbench which works just fine and simply switched up the HTTPCaller url and featurereader parameters and thought it would work.) The way (I assume) it works is that the HTTPCaller calls the zip file from an online repository, then the featurereader reads the contained shapefile and I can then go on to do other processing tasks. However, the workbench is failing at the featurereader stage. The logfile has an error message that says:Unable to open shape file `C:\\Users\\[USER]\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\FME_TempFileStore_161769518366_3180\\dsR_1_161769518367_3180\\DBCALegislatedLandandWaters.zip_161769518367_3180\\DBCALegislatedLandandWaters.shp' for read. I have no idea what the issue is, I've purged temporary files, screwed around with the parameters of the feature reader but am unable to get beyond this point. Hi, I am trying to update the name of my attributes but am having a hard time. Currently I have two attributes (BEC: Revenue and BAC: Expenditure) and I have to update them to BEC and Expenditure respectively. I think I can use attribute manager but I am unable to make the required changes. Any help will be highly appreciated

I'm reading the data from smallworld environment. We are able to add reader and read the data to some extent but after few hours (6-8 hours) of execution, workbench is getting failed with the error as shown in attached screenshot. It is an issues towards GESW side or FME side, Kindly help...

I received some data where x and y coordinates are concatenated in a single cell. Extracting and connecting these together will give me either a line or a polygon. I have provided a sample csv file belowThe issue with the data I have been provided is that it has displaced field 10 onwards - but I can't tell that field 10 has been displaced unless I remove the all the concatenated geometry fields There are 2 things that I need help with1) extracting the x & y's so I can create geometry2) understanding where Field 10 may have been displaced to so I can create a table that makes sense!Any help appreciated!  

This is my first time working with FME workbench. I would like to convert an E57 to LAS to import into ArcGIS Pro for a class project. I looked around in the Transformer Gallery but could not find the correct tool. Thanks so much for your help!
