FME Flow

I'm using directory watch with FME server 2019 to trigger a workspace when a file is updated. the Directory watch is set to watch the directory every days. For now, when there is an update, It run the workspace at noon, and i wish to wait till midnight before the workspace start. Is there a way to add a time option for when the directory watch start ? or a waiting time before the workspace start ?Thank's

My company has an MITM proxy setup, which is resulting in many cloud based service requests failing. Obviously it only applies to any requests via HTTPS, so I am wondering how other people have gotten around these issues? I have a workspace on FME Server that sometimes will receive strings with accent as a parameter. I am calling the workspace with the direct url from a javascript application. I serialize the parameters with browser's encodeURIComponent function to be valid in the direct url. So a string parameter like NomProjet = é become NomProjet=%C3%A9 I found out that parameters, when they are containing accents, are automatically encoded into hexadeciamal by FME Server. So the parameter é become E9 in the workspace. I have to use a TextDecoder to decode them to Latin-1. However, when the parameter does not contain accents, it's not encoded to hex and the TextDecoder produce an error. I would like to prevent FME Server to encode those parameters into hexadecimal. Utf-8 would be perfect. Is there a way to do that? 

I'm working with FME Server 2019 and was wondering if/how it is possible to use the automations functionality as followed:So, i start a Data Download Service workflow with REST. This workflow performs its arts and then sends a mail if valid with the results if available or no mail when no new results are the (but the workflow still did the job). And failed if there is a bug/rejected stuff. Is there a way to check/test the {downloadUrl} that is used in the Subscription before sending the link?Sending format C is easy because that is just one topic and subscription connected to the failed results. But when the job is successful and the URL in {downloadUrl} is valid it should sends the mail in format A and if the URL in {downloadUrl} is _undefined_ it sends the mail in format B. Update: Newb issue with FME Server. Opened up port 587 on the FME Cloud security settings. So as with most things I solved my own problem minutes after I gave up and asked for help.I am building an application using FME Server (cloud) and part of it is an email exchange. Using the extensive tutorials provided by Safe (thank you for that) I am able to receive and process the email from an Office 365 accout with imap settings outlook.office365.com and publish to a READ_EMAIL notifier. The issue I am now having is setting up the SMTP settings. Following the great tutorials by Safe I can successfully send via my gmail account. However, Office365 seems to be another animal. I've logged into the account and used the specified settings:Server name: smtp.office365.comPort: 587Encryption method: TLS

I'm using fme desktop 2018 (18586) on ubuntu 18.04 and that was working perfectly. After an update on the system, fme workbench isn't initializing anymore but the other applications are working fine(data inspector, license manager, and quicktranslator)

Hello,There is something wrong with my fmeserver, now it can't run any datastreaming services, F12 my chrome, it appears "provisional headers are shown",and response nothing,checked the server side logs, nothing written,means server side didn't receive the post,but successfully run jobsubmitter, datadownload and others. Hello,We have fme 2016.We have two engine servers, on each one 4 engines. What is the algorithm for choosing engine to each new job will be assigned? Let's say that we are not using any routing tags.   

Root certificates are automatically placed in “C:\\Program Files\\FMEServer\\Utilities\\jre\\lib\\security”. This is where the keystore is and also our self-signed root certificate with others. In “C:\\Program Files\\FMEServer\\Server\\fme\\ssl” we can find only the PEM file which is obtained from Mozilla (public root certificates). Unfortunately we cannot find anywhere how to use the keystore instead of a standard PEM file, as FME takes only public root certificates. Now we made some changes in the PEM file to import the root certificate. But how to officially import an Self-Signed SSL certificate in keystore on FME Server? Kind regards,GeoJan 

I hope somebody can help with following: I have a list (text file) with similar urls stock data. The only difference is the ticker code in the name (e.g. "https://www.barchart.com/stocks/quotes/AAP/performance" and "https://www.barchart.com/stocks/quotes/BA/performance are some of them). I read the whole list with reader "Text_line". After that I made a reader for one of these urls in order to know what I will scrape. This is Table1. For so far everything goes well. But after this I want to merge or combine these two so that for all the urls in the Text_line Table1 will be extracted and I will get one file containing on each row: used url, performance 5-Day, performance 1-Month, performance 3-Month, performance 6-Month, performance YTD, performance 52-Week, performance 2-Year, etc.

Hi FMEr'sI am using FME server to build relationships in an access database-- in tFNE server data folder--via an SQLExecutor, so no writers on the workbench. My issue is that I cant download the access database from the shared folder.Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?

Has anyone come across an email address validator using FME?I want to use an API, ideally, to check email addresses for my contacts are valid. Any assistance or workspaces would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi all, I have a list of urls (50 in number). For each url there are 10s of thousends requests to be made.12 engines in my fme server.What I want to do use 5 of fme engines to run the jobs in parallel - so 10 jobs each engine.How can I do that?At the moment I have:xls reader -> sampler2 (first 10 urls) -> FMEServerJobSubmitter1 (submit in sequence, wait to finish) , sampler2 (connected to sampler1,not_sampled port (first 10) -> FMEServerJobSubmitter2 and so on. But it just runs the 10 jobs on one engine in FMEServerJobSubmitter1 one after another.

I'm having the following issue. The FME server engine can't access ESRI license in order to read / write to GDB. Although the ESRI license is clearly available (I can open and use ESRI products on the host machine). License type is set to Floating (concurrent) and borrowed for 30 days. Error message for SDE writer is:The Esri Product license 'ArcInfo' is unavailable because all licenses of this type are currently in use. Unable to perform licensing related tasks. Please ensure that ArcGIS is correctly installed.And for GDB message looks like:An ArcGIS license is already checked out. The product checked out is 'ArcInfo' . Installed ArcGIS version is '?.?' Unable to connect to the File Geodatabase at '[some_location]'. Make sure the correct filename was specified, and that the geodatabase wasn't saved with a newer version of ArcGIS than the one installed locally. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147220952'

With the "IMDFToArcGISIndoors.fmwt", I was not to able to find the source IMDF dataset "NoError.zip". Is there a place where I can download this data?

Does anyone have an example of a system architect diagram where FME is being used to validate and transform CAD data into GIS? Just looking at what the best practices are around the key components in an enterprise system.

Within an automation I want to trigger a workspace with a previous result. In this case, as shown in the picture, I only want to process a submitted file if the validation is valid. Most desirable is that I can set a certain parameter within the createValidationStatus workspace and be able to filter on that in the automation filter.Unfortunately I haven't figured out how to do it this way. I did find a work around by adding a terminator to the workspace when a submission isn't valid. This wil result in an "action failed". But still this isn't desirable because submitter and administrator messages got mixed up. Failure doesn't necessarily mean workspace failure. Question: What is the best way to pass results from an u

I am a post graduate student working on 3D modelling using FME Desktop. I would like to know if FME Server is available free for the student community.

This is probably out there... FME Server engines run under a service account, we have Oracle database that use OS authentication, so users can authenticate into these databases. On FME desktop this works just fine, as FME desktop runs under the users credentials. It would be really nice to find a way to do this on FME Server. So, does any one see any kind of pathway to make a some sort of a call to FME Server to shutdown an engine, re-start it as the user, run a job, and then re-start it back as the service account ?

Hi,I'm trying to send an email (to myself) after a succesful translation. I implemented the steps mentioned in the link (with the featurewriter, sampler etc) by @aaronkoning :https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/4963/sending-mail-in-fme-desktop.htmlHowever, eventhough the translation itself is succesful, the email apparently gets rejected (see image), and in the inspector 17, I see the following error:Fme_rejection_code: ERROR_DURING_PROCESSING (don't mind the lack of output from the featurewriter, I was playing around with it just before screenshotting. It generates input just fine). What am I doing wrong? I'm using FME Desktop version 2018.1.0.1.
