After trying using the TINGenerator > Clipper > AppearanceSetter I followed a few tutorials and help articles (e.g. https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/130870/help-with-draping-an-image-over-a-tin-in-fme-for-viewing-in-meshlab-or-similar ).The closest result (see image) was by passing SurfaceModeller > Clipper > FaceReplacer > AppearanceSetter but the output terrain had a single map tile repeated across the whole surface.To address that tried ensuring t

My DB contains line (say street network) and points (say Bus Stops), the points has to be placed on the vertex of the lines.Would like to find out all those points which is not placed on the vertex of the snapped line.

I 'am reading a Json file that contains a timestamp. I need to convert this to a date so that I can aggregate other data on Year, Month.I've tried using an attributemananger (@value/86400)+25569+(-5/24) and DatConverter to convert the timestamp but this didn't gave me any results.Therefore my question how to do this?

In a JSONTemplater I am using fme:get-attribute to insert the value of an attribute created in the workspace with an AttributeCreator.  The attribute is a represents a status code, so it should be interpreted as an integer, however the JSONTemplater always interprets it as a string, despite all my attempts at forcing it to integer.  Using @int(fme:get-attribute("_statuscode")) results in a TCL error (apparently the @int function is being evaluated before the fme:get-attribute function).  Also tried using an ExpressionEvaluator with @int(1.0) but this is still interpreted as a string.  Any ideas? Hi! I have one problem with coordinates of my objects. For example, I created a simple cube in Revit and exported to IFC file. After that I opened file in FME Data Inspector and I have 24 vertices or coordinates instead of 8 which I think I should have. So they are tripled. Therefore, when I calculate volume it is three times bigger. On the other hand, area calculator works fine. Is there any possibility to remove coordinates and leave only one for each vertex or maybe something else is a problem?

I have a fme_surface and I need to clip it. As long as it is not possible to clip a fme_surface, I have tried to extract triangles from that feature and then clip them. Is it possible to extract triangles from a fme_surface without using the SurfaceModeller?

I have a very simple workspace which is basically 3 steps: readers, UpdateDetector, writers. It is intended to compare changes between two ArcGIS feature classes, which represent data from different years.The UpdateDetector has 4 output ports: updated, inserted, unchanged, deleted. The outputs from the unchanged and added ports seem to be more or less what I'd expect. However, the outputs from the inserted and deleted ports are not being written out to the final feature class - although the post-run numbers show that features were routed through these ports. When I preview the output in the DataInpspector, all the features from all 4 output ports are there. Hello, I have a sequence of points along a line. I have to detect change in an attribute (called "framing") of a point from its previous point. The points are sequential. Sequences are stored as an attribute too "sequence". I imagine I can use an AttributeCreator to create a new attribute called "change" and make the value conditional. Problem is, I am not good at RegEx or conditional statements to know what would be useful. I need to compare the "framing" attribute with only the previous point within the sequence. Not the one ahead. I'm trying to create an attribute ("incorporated") whose value is 0 or 1, depending on the value of another attribute ("Code"). I'm trying to do this in Attribute Manager. But I can't seem to get it to evaluate. I've tried many different permutations of the expression. The attempt shown in the attachment uses Python syntax highlighting which I would assume means it would be interpreted as Python code. Anyway, it doesn't work, as you can see in the breakpoint data.

Hi All, I am using a linked Transformer, creating an attribute, let's say Z. Attributes X and Y already exist on the object. On FME Desktop, the three attribute values X, Y, Z are passed by the Linked Custom TransformerOn FME Server, where the same version of the Linked Transformer is installed (double checked), the X and Y attributes are lost. Attribute Z, created by the Linked Transformer is the only remaining attributeIf I Embed the Linked Transformer and republish to FME Server, the X, Y Z values are all retained.Does anyone have an idea why this happens?best regards, Jelle

We recently updated NTLM from v1 to NTLM v2. After this changes we getting '401 Client Error: Unauthorized' when we are trying to read SharePoint list with "Microsoft SharePoint List" reader. Our FME version is 2016.1.3.1 (Build 16716) Does FME support NTLM v1 and v2? Any suggestion here?  Thanks in advance Yarko

Hello all, I have a question for which I feel like the answer should be simple. But for some reason I cannot find anything in Knowledge Center or think of a way to do it. I have a network of lines with points all along them. The points are not necessarily at the start or end of a line but along them. I need to sequence the points starting from the start of a line segment to the end (it doesn't matter which direction). The first point along the start of a line should be flagged as point 1, the next as point 2 and so on. If a line branches off, the first point on that line will be point 1 again and so on. In the above example, we can also start from point 4 and go downwards in a sequence. Any help will be much appreciated. ThanksEdit: I am using 2016.0 fme desktop

Good afternoon, I'm working on a project where I am doing an area analysis for a set of polygons. The area is calculated in hectares in MapInfo and converted to a shapefile in FME; however, when the area is recalculated in ArcMap, the results are different at a consistent rate of 1.0039 (i.e. MapInfo: 34.6516368 ha; ArcMap 34.7855988 ha). The projection & coordinate system remain unchanged during the conversion so the area should remain the same. The same discrepancy occurs when an Esri shapefile is converted to MapInfo and calculated. Would you be able to provide insight as to the discrepancy?Thanks!

I have two point featureclasses and want to snap the points from Point_01 to Point_02. Both Featureclasses have 261 points, but after the translation, there is always only 245 snapped points and 16 which are untouched. I have tried many tolerances and snap-to-Vertex as well as snap-to-endpoints, but something is stopping the 16 points from snapping to the next point.If anyone can shed some light I would be most grateful

I am looking for a way to have a "default value"  if there is no data in a subtemplate.  Consider the house, village example from the help documentation.  If we have multiple villages with an id, and multiple houses with a village_id,  we can set the Root template to <village><name>{fme:get-attribute("name")}</name><population>{fme:get-attribute("population")}</population><houses>{fme:process-features("HOUSE", "village_id", fme:get-attribute("id"))}</houses></village>and the correct houses will be associated with the correct village. and you could end up with an output like <village> <name>Anytown, USA</name> <population>2568</population> <houses> <house> <address>123 Main Street</address> <owner>John Doe</owner
