Using transformers to modify data.

Hi all. I'm struggling to get the LineOnLineOverlayer transformer to work. I'm working with MI tab files. I want to create a node at the crossing locations of an linear infrastructure data set 'A' with three other liner datasets 'B', 'C' and 'D'. The results I'm looking for is nodes at the crossing of A and B, A and C, A and D. The problem I have is not all intersections are being generated. The attached image shows an example of this. On the eastern side the blue dot represents an intersection between A and B. However, further to the west I would expect to see another two intersections but nothing has been generated. The green polygon is one of may regions that is used to clip the poly line datasets to a manageable size before processing. The parent datasets are nationwide in geographic extent. What have I missed? Do I need to deaggregate lines somewhere? (I've tried a few locations) Thanks,Michael
I have got a LandXML schema and I am wondering how can I export a LandXML file based on that from a DWG/DXF reader. Can you please give me some samples/tutorial or guide me how can I map the DXF data to LandXML file? Thank you & Regards,FB
HiHopping this is the correct forumI'm trying to work out how to extract place names from OpenStreetMap(.osm) files from geofabrik.deFor testing I picked WalesUltimately I will push into PostgreSQL / PostGIS database hopefullywithout corrupting non English names In the attached Workbench I used AttributeExposer to show everything thiswas done using the cache My first question how do I make that dynamic? There will be some distinct attributes like name, osm_id, is_in, wikidata etc and some dynamic ones especially non English names My Second question is how do I group similar attributes together and merge into a JSON stringfor instance alt_name:en, alt_name:fr, alt_name:* grouped into alt_namejson this with then be held as a jsonb database type Similarly name: en, name:fr, name:* grouped into official_names json I couldn't see how to do this using AttributeFilter or Tester All other attributes not yet accounted for grouped into all_tags json string I've done something simila
how to avoid black fill color in dgn file output , i would like to change the background of map to yellow instead of black by default in dgn file .what should i do in fme workbench to modify the background .i have used dgnstyler but it is useless in output ,i see only the changes in inspector in fme but no effects at output dgn filei am using dgn writer at the end of FME workbench FME 2018 Thanks in advance
Hi all,I have a workspace, where I am detecting the hange between my original data in an SDE and revised data coming from a public source. I'm using the fme_db_operation to push Inserts, Updates and Deletes to my SDE. However it apparantly just keeps adding the data as duplicates. I have 6 exactly same polygons for each feature, with the only difference being a Version ID... Any thoughts?
Hi,I would like to modify a comment section in my table. The comment section is intended when there's a change between two roads. For example, when Road 6 is changing for Road 6-A, the comment section writes : Road 6 is becoming Road 6-A. Now, I got a lot of these examples but the comment section is almost blank (with some examples as above). I want to describe those Roads change when the comment section is blank. I got 4 000+ roads changes, so a formula would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hello everyone, I'm currently trying to make a path from a GEOJSON "link" which was return from a HTTPCaller. Is there any way to transform the link below into a line feature? Thank you in advance. This, below, is the GeoJSON file in question.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-H6F53Z3Mpu9qmOLQwvifWVPuG7xgjtk4aekHyG1nUU/edit?usp=sharing
Hello, I'm working with Ordnance Survey data, in particular their OS MasterMap Highways Network RoadLink and RoadNode datasets. This is a topologically correct link and node dataset. I'm looking for a way to segment the RoadLink polyline dataset at 25m intervals up to 100m starting from RoadNode points marked as roundabouts, as shown in the example image below. My intention is to merge all lines with the same road name and road number using the LineCombiner transformer and then use the Chopper transformer to segment the lines at the required intervals. However for this to work, I need to be able to orientate the direction of digitisation of the lines away from the roundabouts nodes, as the chopper will do it's chopping in the same direction as digitisation. I can then chop them starting from the roundabout point and up the line away from this point. My main question is, is there a way to use a point that lies on the end of a line and identify if the line is digitised toward
how to change coordinate min extent and max extent to new coordinates ?i would like to move polygon from his coordinate to new coordinates .i have used attribute creator to change x min and x max and y min and y max ,but i found it changes the coordinate as attribute but i want to move the polygon from his main coordinate to new coordinates.could someone help me ,how i do that ? Hi FME,I am working on a Microstation V8 DGN file with DGNV8 reader. Some of the polygons are recognized differently in Workbench and Data Inspector as attached in the images. Is this a known issue? For example, the green polygon in the Workbench (see the attached image) is losing some of the boundary edges when compared to the same polygon drawn in the Data Inspector that is showing the correct shape. I changed Workspace Parameters > Advanced > Preserve curves "Yes -> No" and then "No -> Yes". But neither was successful. Since the feature shape is wrong at the reader level, adding transformers after the reader won't fix the issue. Do you have any ideas on this? My FME Desktop Version is FME(R) 2020.2.3.0 (20210129 - Build 20820 - linux-x64) and running on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
I am hoping someone may have suggestion as to why a FeatureJoiner fails to join on 1 attribute only.Left input: table of records, including CouncilRegion attributeRight input: polygon feature class with Region's NameThe transformer successfully joins all records from the left input table, to the feature class..., apart from the table records in "Hawke's Bay"The join is successful for all other records. I have trimmed any potential white space at the end of the attributes.Anyone can think of where the problem may lie, what test I could do to ensure Hawke's Bay records do join? Many thanks
I've come to adopt a project file that seems to fail intermittently on the same input DWG file. This workspace was developed over time and it's now in an FME Server 2019.1 environment (2019.1.3.1, Build 19643 - win64) where we thought it would be a risk-free minor version upgrade, but some files now fail against it. My Workbench is also the same version in troubleshooting this. I'm at a loss now for where to look to try to resolve this. This is what I've tried:Upgrade all transformers to the latest version, including the ones in embedded transformersReplaced deprecated embedded transformers, such as ClosedCurveFilter (LoopFilter) and HorizontalAngleCalculator (AzimuthCalculator).Changed Connection Runtime OrderDisabled transformers to locate the troublesome ones. They're typically on the embedded transformers, NeighborFinders, FeatureMergers, and LineOnLineOverlayers, but I'm expecting that there's no significanct change to them to make this stop working. From my desktop, a change I ma
I have a sql table with a date field.it shows Lab Code (MINA / Intertek), sample ID, Lab_report_dateI want to show this data as a table or export such as: The week is not calculated as a standard 'week', but from Wed - tuesday.I've been playing around with DateTimeCalculator & Attribute Pivoter without much luck.Is this even possible? thanks
PL.shp with attribute 1 Excel with Attibute 1 and Attribute 2Attribute 1s relateI have AttributeFilter set for Attribute 1 to extract Attirbute 1 from PL.shp I need to relate Attribute 1 to Attribute 2, which was not in PL.shp, but is in a related Excel Once the relate is attained from 1 and 2, I need to create a shp that retains the name of Attribute 2 which is then written into a folder with Attribute 2 name. This will have to be done 200 times, so how can I efficiently get from reader to writing 200 shps that need to be in attribute 2 named folders? Then from there, the shp needs to be created into an excel that is placed in attribute 2 named folder.
Hello, I am having difficulty getting the SHAPE field in Oracle to populate correctly. Features are 3D in FME, but the features SHAPE in Oracle are displaying as 2D not 3D after FME translation. How can I resolve this?
I am using an AffineWarper to translate some co-ordinates based on a series of control points. My control points are stored in a CSV file containing the following columns: Start_X, Start_Y, End_X, End_Y These are a series of control points representing start and end locations for the transformation. These are turned into vectors which are the vectors for the AffineWarper to perform it's transformation (see screenshot). This works fine on desktop FME, but when I upload the workspace to FME Server and upload the same CSV file, I do not get any features written. I get a warning in the logs saying the AffineWarper requires a minimum of 4 points, when the file does have at least 4 lines. I have written the outputs of the PointAdder and I can see the 4 vector lines being correctly created. However, it doesn't seem to be getting passed into the AffineWarper?
I have a pointcloud.las and I would like to apply some R functions on it using the lidR package. I'm having some hard time figuring out on how the pointcloud should be formatted, or passed on to the data.frame within the R Caller?Same goes for grabbing the output.Any clues are much appreciated
I am reading from an Esri SDE GeoDB (ArcObjects) and use Archive Where Clause with GDB_FROM_DATE/GDB_TO_DATE to read archived data.... after processing the data, I write it to another SDE with mostly the same schema. This is my first migration step. After a while I want to do the same workflow for the data which were changed since the first migration. So I use GDB_FROM_DATE/GDB_TO_DATE in order to find the changed data in the source SDE. At the end of the second processing I need to update some of the features of the first migration (those which have been removed since the first round) and I try to use fme_db_operation UPDATE and a fme_db_operation_where clause attribute, where I try something like this:fme_db_operation_where=UUID='DEBE0707Hb000020' AND BEG='20170619110522' AND ENDE IS NULL BEG is a column of type timestamp (in the underlying Oracle DB) and needs to be compared to the value read from GDB_FROM_DATE which is of type date I get errors like the following an
I have used snipper to get the starting points of the lines, then I used NeighbourFinder to find the nearest line to the starting point, but i want to exclude lines with same id as my point.. It is possible with Postgis, but know that I got a license I prefer FME if possible.
I am trying to merge two tables with no common key. How can I do this? 1 is from a select returning the database name (dbname) and server name (srvname). For example:BlueSpark, WINSQLPRD001 2 is from a function and returns database role information. Example:sa, sysadminNTSERVICE\\SQLWriter, sysadminNTSERVICE\\Winmgmt, sysadminNTSERVICE\\MSSQL$INST1, sysadmin I want to take the two items from 1 and add them to each row from 2 such as:BlueSpark, WINSQLPRD001, sa, sysadminBlueSpark, WINSQLPRD001, NTSERVICE\\SQLWriter, sysadminBlueSpark, WINSQLPRD001, NTSERVICE\\Winmgmt, sysadminBlueSpark, WINSQLPRD001, NTSERVICE\\MSSQL$INST1, sysadmin I've tried using various transformers and all require a common key. So I tried converting the results of 1 into attributes and using that to populate the columns of the output, but it creates separate rows with the results of 1 and 2 - they are not merged such as:BlueSpark, WINSQLPRD001,,,,,sa, sysadmin,,NTSERVICE\\SQLWriter, sysadmin,,NTSERVICE\\Winmgmt
Hi,See attachments for my pipeline. In the pipeline I have a simple 3dmodel and a some amount of random generated points in a certain area where to populate that model to. The pipeline seems to work all the way to the end. If I inspect it in FME, everything is in correct place on the map, but once I send the obj to Cesium Ion, it no longer has the geolocation data, and it wants me to place it by hand in the Cesium Ion Portal. Any idea what might be wrong? If I open the obj that I just generated again in the FME Desktop, it shows the models on map correctly. https://cesium.com/docs/tutorials/import-3d-models/
Hello! I am using NeighborFinder to match points from two different datasets. Once a point has been matched I would like to exclude it from the candidates. How would I do this?
Hi everyone,we have installed the 2021 Version already but now we don't know how to select multiple attributes in StatisticCalculator. In earlier versions i.e. 2019 it has been possible to select multiple attributes by clicking on the 3 points, unfortunately I can't find this option in 2021 Version. Do I have to select all my 100 attributes if I need a statistic about them? 😖 Is there any possibility? Kind regards,Sandra
Hi. Is there any way to create a plane or polygon of a set of pint cloud? I want to create roof surfaces from point clouds, but I have found no transformer. Thanks
