I have an FME workbench that writes to multiple Excel files (all contained within a single zip file) with the intent that the generated files will not really be stored, but merely returned as the output of an FME web app and discarded soon after. Having to write these files on-disk first means I have to consider "hygiene" between runs so that there's no risk of file name collision/overwriting, while also saving them in a location that is available for the FME Flow server to expose to the user via HTTP. None of the documentation I could find really addresses where to save files meant for use with the "data download service", nor how to ensure that file paths cannot overlap between runs. Is there an FME Flow parameter for this purpose, like a unique run identifier I could add to my file names, or a private directory created only for the output of this run? I'm thinking of something like what TempPathnameCreator outputs, but not as a transformer, since it means

I wonder if it is possible to fill in the properties of an image when uploading this with the SharePointOnlineConnector.I tried setting up an AttributeCreator setting "Inspection Title" etc. but it didn't do anything with the created attributes.

I am unable to connect to my organizations enterprise portal.  I have a web service connection that works for other members of my organization, but whenever I attempt to connect I get the error: "Type: 4, Number: 1, Message: Failed to get authorization query string." I have tried everything that I, my boss, and my IT department can think of, but still no luck.  Any advice would be appreciated, Cheers.

I read files from Sharepoint. Sometimes I can read all the files but other times (no obvious pattern) I get this error msg when reading the exact same files again:`fme_rejection_message' has value `SharepointOnlineConnector: Could not connect to server. Check that you are connected to the internet and that no firewall is blocking outbound connections. The error was 'HTTPSConnectionPool(host='graph.microsoft.com', port=443): Read timed out. (read timeout=60)''Can I somehow easily adjust the read timeout?

I am snapping points to line based on unique id (using group by). I tried using both vertex snapping or segment snapping. In both of these case, the points are being snapped to endpoints in some cases ( as per screenshot). I don't want to snap the point to endpoint at all, but it can be anywhere on the line. How to achieve snapping the point on the line other than endpoint of the line? Thank you

Hi, Attached I have two sets of data with several polygons. The two are almost identical, but one has different polygons or more polygons than the other. How can I do it using FME? I already used the Spatial Relator transformer and change detector transformer but the results were not good. I want to know the difference between the two, that is what appeared in one and what disappeared in the other. can anybody help me? Thanks

I've recently been provided with a large number of relatively small KMZ files which contain track data recorded by field staff using GPS. This is usually a simple extraction process, however the data is now being provided as a gx:MultiTrack within the KMZ file.(More Info - https://developers.google.com/kml/documentation/kmlreference#gxmultitrack)When using FME, it processes the features as if they have no geometry. Currently I'm reading the data in as an xml and extracting the coordinates to build line features as a work around, but not sure it's the best way.Has anyone dealt with MultiTracks before using FME and have any tips or tricks to extract the geometry cleanly? Thanks in advance.

I have a workbench that reads in three road datasets, does a bunch of tests and outputs to a file gdb. Two datasets have around 3000 records each and the third has almost 11,000 records, so not huge datasets. The problem I am having is the two smaller ones write successfully but the larger one only writes 956 records.  If I write to shapefile all is fine but no matter what I try the file gdb writer fails. I have tried writing to fresh gdb and still same result. I am using FME Form 2023.0 and ArcGIS Pro 3.0 Any ideas?

Hi allI've been given a handful of grid shift file (.gsb) that I need to add to FME Cloud so that I can use them within a published service (via the CsmapReprojector transformer).This is what I've done so far.On Desktop I've copied the .gsb files to C:\\Program Files (x86)\\FME\\Reproject\\GridData\\Australia and modified C:\\Users\\<user>\\Documents\\FME\\CoordinateSystems\\MyCoordSysDefs.fme, adding the custom transformation definitions which point at the relevant .gsb. For example:The transformation was tested and worked fine using desktop.I then uploaded this modified MyCoordSysDefs.fme file to FME Cloud when I published the workspace I'll be using. I uploaded the file to myfmecloud.com/fmeserver/resources#/Engine/CoordinateSystems.I realize the transformation definitions in MyCoordSysDefs.fme points to a desktop file location, not the server location so I presume I have to upload the .gsb file to FME Cloud and change the GRID_FILE parameter values in the tr

Hello, quite difficult to find the right section for my question, so moderators, please move it in a more suitable one if it is necessary.  I create a FGDB with a feature class and a table. The table shall use the OBJECTID of the feature class, so this one shall be created first to be able to use the OBJECTID in the table. Is there a way to create the FGDB in one wb? Thank you, Corina

Dear FME Community, I am facing a challenge while using the SharePointOnline Connector in FME to load a CSV file directly as an attribute. My objective is to avoid storing this CSV file on any network drive, local drive, or an M365 named account OneDrive folder.
