Example:I've got a list: "_list" with as attributes _list{}.ratio.  _list{0}.ratio = 0.10_list{1}.ratio = 0.25_list{2}.ratio = 0.30And I want to add a list attribute: _list{}.ratiosum with as result:_list{0}.ratiosum = 0.10_list{1}.ratiosum = 0.35_list{1}.ratiosum = 0.65In Python I would do it like this: sumlist = [] s = 0 for i in range(len(ratio)):  s = s + ratio[i]  sumlist.append(s) But how is the relation between the python and the list in FME? This doesn't work:def processFeature(feature):    s = 0    for i in range(len(feature.getAttribute{'_list{}'));        s = s + ratio[i]        feature.setAttribute('_list{%d}.ratiosum' % i, s)      This gives an syntax error; it is not possible to get the length of the list with the len() function?   

Hi guys,I transform a CSV file to excel inside an FME workbench to calculate some statistics. Everything goes smoothly, the only problem is that when writing to Excel, all numbers (decimal numbers mostly), are stored as text.Is this a known problem, or does somebody have an idea how to have numbers in excel that are stored as numbers?Thanks,Maxime

I have found many articles about this issue.But I am looking for the link to download the required DLL's to use FME 64 bits with the SDE writer.And up to now I have not been able to locate the set of DLL's.Can anybody point me to the right download site?ArcGis 10.2.1 is installed.Thanks for any help.Erik Jan

I'm using the anchored snapper transformer to snap polygons to specific vertices, but I'm running into a problem. I need to add a vertex to the candidate in order to preserve geometric criteria (all features are either parallel or perpendicular to each other and have coincident vertices within a certain tolerance, hence why I'm using an anchored vertex snapper). I was hoping the 'Add Additional Vertex' option would solve my problem, but this doesn't seem to apply to polygons.There are some constraints to my solution, as follows:All features have exactly the same attribute valuesFeatures must snap from right to left (I used the neighbor finder and then a direction calculation to determine which vertices I need to snap to)The following images highlight the problem. Hello,I have a shapefile with approximately 200 tiles that contains an attribute value for each (e.g. 52A, 52B...). I am trying to output the data where each individual tile or attribute is applied with a SpatialFilter (contains and touches). The only way I know going about it is by using a Tester and changing the values manually each time I run the workspace. I know a loop can be applied to the workspace but I couldn't find any guidance or documentation on dealing with this. Thank you,

Hi!I am reading OSM data in the .osm format and trying to write out selected key-value pairs based on the key name. The key value pairs are in two lists: tag().k and tag(),v. I would like to extract all the keys which equal "name" from tag().k and write the associated values from tag().v to a name attribute.I am having difficulty figuring out the best (or any) way to do this. I would like to accomplish this task just using the existing transformers if possible.Thank you!

I have a feature class of lines with measures and a unique id. I also have a list of line unique IDs and a start and stop measure for each.Given these two inputs, I would like to extract a portion of each line using the start and stop measurements...How might I go about doing this?

Hi,I'm struggling with DWG-Blocks...I have a DWG-file with a lot of points being in a block each of them (one point in one block), with some attributes. In FME I need to make an offset in direction of z. Then, I want to write it to a DWG-file again.Unfortunately the blocks don't get into the file. Hi,I want to run a script several times. Every time the input data changes. I thought, this could nicely be done by triggering FME by means of a commandline batch. However, when i start the batch, only the dataset which is connected within the workbench is used. It seems, as if the sourcedatasets from the command lines are ignored. The parameters I have copied from the first lines in the log window. I have simplified the attached workbench to the key issue of importing and writing a shape file. Also attached you find the batch file and some data.Any ideas?

HI, I am using CSV Reader to migrate data into Smallworld. Actualy i have 11 types of CSV files names as 1. CSV point.csv.2.CSv Road.csv 3.CSV park.csv 4.CSV building.csv 5.CSV pole.csv......etc when i try to create CSV reader it displays "CSV"in CSV reader. As bellowActual name of the CSV file is "CSV pole.csv" but it displays only CSV. I want file name in that reader. How can i get that csv file name on CSV reader. I want to configure all the 11 csv files in single workbench. How can i configure all.Thanks in advance for your help.

how would i alter a workspace to export files as they are finished rather than holding them all in memory / temp files until everything is processed?the input is about 200gb of Mapinfo files so this is taxing my system quite a bit. FME seems to not write anything until its completely gone through all the files.I have a feature reader that processes all the *.tab files in a folder and clips them where they intersect an input polygon it then saves the files into an identical folder / name structure.FME 2016 ESRI Edition - 16gb ram i7 4790k

I currently have a workspace that determines a file location, and then a workspace runner uses this as the source parameter for the 'child' workspace.If I run the child workbench in isolation, I can specify multiple file locations and both source files are read.e.g. "D:\\Folder1\\File1.gz","D:\\Folder2\\File2.gz"But if I try to use this as a parameter for the workspace runner, no output is read. Is there a different syntax I should be using within the workspace runner?

Hi all,I have two Feature classes, one are roads and the other one are fences. What I want to do is to intersect only the fences where they intersect with roads and not by themselves. What would do the job is an Intersector with a parameter 'Attribute(s) that must Differ' like the parameter of the Spatial Realator, but this parameter does not exist on Intersector - so is there any work around to that?Any help is much appreciated

Morning All,Im trying to select the top two attribute names(calculated by largest values in attributes) of 6 attributes.. i have 6 attributes which contain a number (0-5), This number is then multiplied by a weighting (1-5)depending on the attribute. I do all this in an expression evaluator , ie attribute 1 x3, attribute 2x 5, attribute 3x 2, etc etc. My expression evaluator sums all these attributes to get a total score, excellent. I now need to know which 2 attributes (1-6 ) make up the largest portion of the total score.I have tried with listPopulator for the 6 attributes, then a listsorter, then attributecreator (@Value(_list{0}),@Value(_list{1})). This however returns the original attribute value, not the attribute name..... Any help/suggestions appreciated. thanks steve

Dear all,I am looking for a solution to generate a raster based on observations (points), for example temperature and humidity. The raster should cover the entire country (polygon), and preferably interpolated with kriging or Inverse Distance Weighting. Is this possible in FME? Is it possible to install two kind of FME Desktop fixed (node-locked) license (e.g Pro and Smallworld) on single machine and use selected license in batch mode of fme.exe process running? I need to control license usage according to two different custom applications which use fme batch processing.

Given the attached dxf containing 3d faces (fme_geometry: fme_aggregate), I'm trying to produce a surface of the top of the 3d shape.The 3d shapes will contain holes.I'm not having much success so hoping someone can point me in the right direction.Thanks!

In my workbench I have a column full of strings where I'd like certain sequences of characters to be capitalized. I could do this by adding a StringReplacer for each sequence, but I have a lot of sequences and I'd rather not do that if I can solve the problem with a general solution. What I'd like to do is just use some StringReplacer likeAttributes: RAILWAY_NAMEText to Find: Cpr|CnrReplacement Text: @UpperCase(\\0)Use Regular Expressions: YesCase Sensitive: YesWhere whatever it finds would be replaced with the upper case version. But when I try this on the string "Cnr Railway" nothing gets replaced. If I try it with the replacement text \\0+1 I get "Cnr+1 Railway", so I know the regex is matching correctly. If I try it with the replacement text @StringLength(\\0) I get "2 Railway", so it looks like functions take "\\0" as a literal string. But if that were the case why does @UpperCase(\\0) return "Cnr Railway"?So my quesito

So I wrote to a postgres database all the data and now I want to index it using a sql executor and have a timestamp on the index. I tried to use "CREATE INDEX ct_table_data@Value('current_timestamp') on ct_table(data)The big issue I have is it doesnt seem to time_stamp. I am useing the FME sql date function tool but no luck. Anyone have a good solution?

I have a workbench with CSV readers. Now I updated the CSVs and some of the attributes changed names (e.g. from GAS Service Connection to Service Connection). Is there a way how to update single attribute instead of updating the whole reader? Thanks, Jan

I received a text file that has descriptions about features as follows: ADD FUSE 9911 { PHASES =1; PORT_A = <123>; PORT_B = <234>; ATTRIBUTE[county] = "SEATTLE"; ATTRIBUTE[street] = "MAIN ST"; ATTRIBUTE[facility_id] = "1324"; ATTRIBUTE[feeder_id_1] = "FD1"; ATTRIBUTE[feeder_id_2] = "Null"; }; ADD 1p_conductor 125623 { ... }; Now, how to create individual features out of these? 1. I tried Aggregator: groupby - text_line_data Separator character: }; 2. Tried to loop text_line_data and break whenever "};" is encountered. But both didn't work. Is there a simple way to do this?
