Hi,I'm faced with sending circa 10000 emails to clients from FME. That's one email per user per feature.There are only some 10 mail receivers, the huge number comes from sending them each many notifications.If I want to gather all notifications into a single email per receiver, what is the best/easiest way to achieve that ?I can aggregate the individual notification content into a list per receiver, but where to go from there ?Cheers Lars I

I have a work space setup with multiple reader types. One reader will read values from an HTML table to populate attributes within the work space. On rare occasions when reading the HTML table, there will be an empty value from which I currently have the work space set to terminate with a message stating that a certain value was not found.Is there a way to prompt the user for that certain missing value if not found in the HTML table, instead of just terminating the session like I have it set to now? I know user parameters have to be set before the work space is run, just wanted an idea of how to combat this situation.FME Desktop 2017 Beta 

Hi,Yesterday, I manually started a long running task (at 09 AM), and let it run thru the night.This morning it crashed with a Win32 error.What made me wonder was, that when I looking into the job's log, the process crashed almost exactly after 24 hours to the minute. This made me wonder whether it experienced some sort of 24 hour timeout ?The log contained information about what it was doing when it crashed, so I setup a small workspace to test that. It worked without hickups.My main workspace contains a looping custom transformer if that makes a difference. But I've previously had it running perfectly with other data sets.Has anyone experienced something similar ? Or is this just a very strange coincidence ?Cheers Lars I

Hi,I have two data sources with polygons. I need to match every single polygon from first dataset to every single polygon in second dataset. Output should be any pair that have their two polygons intersect.I've tried to utilize SpatialFilter, but that doesn't do what I want. It only matche some polygons to each other.I've had a look at SpatialRelator, but it still has assymetric inputs (Requestor, Supplier), so I think it'll work as SpatialFilter. Besides it requires some attribute condition which I can't meet.What is the best way to make this M-by-N "spatial cross/outer join" ?Cheers Lars I.

I created some Workspaces and call them using Workspace Runners in a parent Workspace. As part of refining my overall process, I have renamed the Workspaces. However when I run the parent Workspace, the translation log for the child Workspaces has the old name of the child FMW.I've tried doing File > Save as on the child FMWs, and adding new Workspace Runners to the parent Workspace rather than updating the existing ones. I can't see the log file names specified anyway so why isn't FME creating the logs with the same name as the FMW?

I have a few hundred ortho-jpgs, but i want to be able to read only the ones that intersects or are within a polygon.The jpg's are georeferenced and the DWG too and botha re set to the same coordinate system and both show up at the right positions in the inspector when opened individually.This method worked for me using .las point clouds on the same spot, but I cant seem to manage to get the jpg's I want.Is there something wrong with the settings? Thank you in advance,Robin

Hi all. I feel I am going around in circles.I have a data update process uploading data regularly to SQL server. A requirement of this update is to run a couple of stored procedures on the uploaded data. I wish to run stored procedures that are entirely internal to SQL server after the upload is complete, rather than having to duck into MSSMS to trigger them. I don't require features or attributes to be passed back to FME.Currently, I am have embedded my process in a workspace runner and use a single item creator to trigger it. I then hope to have the stored procedure(s) run/triggered from SQLExecutor or SQL Creator (if it will work in this fashion)Something like exec dbo.'storedprocedurehere' only doesn't cut it. Comes back with a malformed statement.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,Brady

I have a workspace in FME Workbench that was previously working correctly. Now when I run it I see that features are being read in but are not properly interacting with the transformers. For example, features are no longer being merged by the FeatureMerger. The workspace has not changed at all and still completes but the results are incomplete. Are there any things that I should look for?

Hi All,I have an excel file with header-1 names and header-2 names. I have used AttributeSplitter and made list for both like header-1_list and header-2_list for each record. Now I want to aggregate the values like mentioned below...If 1 record in excel containsheader-1_list contains 0,1,2 valuesheader-2_list contains A,B,C,D,E valuesOutput should be 15 records which contains 0-A,0-B,0-C,0-D,0-E,1-A,1-B,1-C,1-D,1-E,2-A,2-B,2-C,2-D,2-E as values.(I have attached sample excel file and my progress work bench to this message for better understanding)Thank you in advancePratap 

Hi Guys, i know many users ask something in that way (myself too) but its a little bit different, bcause i didnt find the exact answer to my question.  i have a polyline, gave a measure on it and produced vertices (PolylineAnalyzer) with an attribute where the extracted measure (MeasureExtractor,etc..) is saved and an attribute with the route_ID on it.Then i have produced a flat line with the same length as my polyline and also an attribute with the route_ID on it.  How can i set my points (vertices) on this flat line (with the extracted measure attribute)?   I've read some answers from other linear referencing questions and tried some things but: now I'm here!but i don't think its too complicated.......merge, list, explode,....?!?Thx and GreetzFranco

Dear FME community,I have a dataset which has for example the following two attributes:- grundbescheid_nr- bescheid_nrIf there are two identical rows with the same value in grundbescheid_nr (e.g. grundbescheid_nr= 183101), then only the entry with the higher number in bescheid_nr (in the example bescheid_nr = 186754) should be preserved. The entry marked with the blue background (bescheid_nr = 185582) and it's geometry should be deleted. The lower one(s) should therefore be eliminated.I suppose I could do it with a ListBuilder somehow, but I'm not yet sure how to do it exactly. Is there an easy way to solve this?Kind regardsThomas

Hi,I am using a shapefile, containing lines, that are eventually printed as PDF document. The lines (streets) are sent into a mapnikrastizers before it is stored as a pdf.   For my current project I would like to be able to identify that lines or labels that are NOT placed by the mapnikrasterizer.   Could anyone come up with a solution for this problem?

Hi,I want to trigger a workspace using a python script and with that, also want to set the reader dynamically as a parameter. I did look at a few posts previously on this subject like using the workspace runner or the Creator but wasn't sure if that would match my requirement.My requirement is that - I have a set of workbenches that already have a Reader transformer added but I want to override those readers through Python script and provide dataset paths through python script.It would be great help if I am advised whether I am trying this the wrong way and if I should be getting rid of the Readers from all my fmw files and take some other method that would allow me to provide the path in a way that the workbench could be triggered just by a python script and there would be no need to open the fmw files in FME Desktop

Hey all, Quick question. Does anyone know the difference between the free google geocoder and using an enterprise API key within this transformer? I thought there was a limit on the number of addresses you could geocode per day on the free version, but I ran 5,000 through multiple times. If the free version within FME is the same as the enterprise api my company pays for I could tell them to cancel our subscription. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Is the enterprise API more accurate? Thanks again! Ethan

I have some data similar to the followingI would like to be able to assign a group to this data as followsI can half achieve this spatially, by dissolving the geometries, assigning a unique ID, exploding a list and then assigning that ID back to the original geometries. This isn't entirely satisfactory due to the need to ignore some areas of overlap, e.g. B & D might overlap spatially but if they're not in my report as overlapping I wish to ignore these.Any suggestions to do this in a non-spatial way, looping perhaps?

hi all,Im coming accross an issue with the HTTP caller or attributefilewriter and encoding. I have created a WB that loops on a series of complete urls and downloads the file to a folder. Everything goes fine until we reach url with special characters as for example the one belowhttp://www.catastro.minhap.es/INSPIRE/Addresses/02/02021-CASAS DE JUAN NUÑEZ/A.ES.SDGC.AD.02021.zip (if you download this web page direclty on browser it works fine).Httpcaller fails on 404 not found since it parses another page http://www.catastro.minhap.es/INSPIRE/Addresses/02/02021-CASAS%20DE%20JUAN%20NUÑEZ/A.ES.SDGC.AD.02021.zipAbover URL does not work on browser.I have tried encoding the url before parsing to httpcaller, also encoding only the part of the url with the special characters and it fails all the time, even if the path parsed looks ok.It also fails in couldnt resolve host name.Any tip on this? Hi.  I have gotten stuck at a problem: I have some data points that I want to align to the geometry to a borehole. Is it possible to set up the anchored snapper to snap the points onto the line? I have not been able to find settings that work. The points only get snapped to vertices at ends of line segments, not at the closest position along the borehole line. 

Dear all. I completed the configuration of a Directory Watch subscription. I spent time trying to check with the Topic Monitoring without success (i.e. no results on the monitoring page). Searching the community here, I found an answer to a topic where an expert suggested to look the subscription log. I did and I found the service working properly. I know that the important thing is that the subscription is now working but I'm interested to know, if possible, the reason why the monitoring page seems not work properly. TIa Roberto

Hello, in FME 2015 I have used @takashi solution to creating attribute names from one column value and populate those attributes with values from another column (http://fme-memorandum-takashi.blogspot.cz/2013/07/bulkattributerenamer.html)Basically if I use the bulkattributerenamer this way in FME 2016 NOTHING changes, output data look the same as input data, while in FME 2015 it does work, as shown in the images bellow.However this seems to not work in FME 2016.0 and above - I have tested it in 2016.0 and 2016.1.2Here is what my data look like:This is how the data look like when I transform them in FME 2015:This is how I have bulkattributerenamer setup:I have no idea what I am doing wrong as this seems to work ONLY in FME 2015. Hi all,I do have a question about how FME and S3 interact each other. Im working with big amount of data that will likely increase very fast (terabytes). In my way to test how could we efficiently store the data and later work it with FME Im doing some tests basic tests with S3 from amazon. My point is that I can store those terabytes in Amazon but when I try to work with them with S3objectlister and S3downloader I found that you need to really download data to process it so all in all you will need to have extra storage in your server or desktop. So for example if I want to work with 5 gb of cloud data that I have stored in S3 I need first download this on local and then work normally on FME? I have not found a way to connect S3downloader directly to feature reader so I dont need to download all the data and process on the fly: Not sure if I explained correctly or not, or if Im missing somehting in the FME documentation that could do in other way...
