I am using an aggregated object to insert a cell using the dgnstyler. The aggregated object has 2 geometries, a point and a line. I need to use the line as a reference for the angle of the cell rotation, but I do not know how to derive an angle for this line. Can someone help me find a way to do this?

I'm using the Esri Geodatabase (ArcSDE Geodb) reader with Feature Read Mode set to Metadata, to read in GEMINI metadata from SDE. I'd like to manipulate certain elements before sending the updated metadata back to the SDE feature class. Using the XMLUpdater I've been able to amend the content for some elements, however I haven't had any success when trying to amend the revision date, as there are three different date strings all with the same XML path: metadata/gmd:GEMINI_Metadata/gmd:identificationInfo/gmd:MD_DataIdentification/gmd:citation/gmd:CI_Citation/gmd:date/md:CI_Date/gmd:date/gco:DateCurrently none of them are getting updated on the output XML. Probably a simple solution to this but I can't seem to find it.If I have a generic writer and I want to write out to dwg or dxf how do I enforce it to write to dxf, it defaults to dwg . I have tried lots of things like creating a dummy writer for ACAD or creating an output published parameter with 2 options for the AutoCAD writer with 2 different values-- this works but if I select DWG or DXF I still get a dwg file.I can add a tester which sorts whether the end user selected DWG or DXF and then filters it into an ACAD writer that has the extension hardcoded..but I don't really want to do that when I feel like I have just missed something? Any help would be appreciated

Hi, I’m looking for some help please, if anyone can respond... I’m using FME 2016 to transform data into INSPIRE gml for the administrativeBoundaries theme and I’m new to the world of xml. I’ve looked at several examples on FME Knowledge for XMLTemplater but cannot get the values to write back as I want. My source data is a geodatabase with linestring data containing references to their related polygons. In FME I have concatenated these reference values for each ID , into one attribute, admUnit. Values are comma separated. I then use AttributeSplitter and ListExploder to expose the list, admUnit_list{}. The list length varies for different ID but never be empty. Hi All,In 2016.0, I have a list like this:  _list{0}.class = 1 _list{1}.class = 2 _list{2}.class = 3 _list{3}.class = 5 _list{4}.class = 2 _list{5}.class = 1  I need to know how many of any given class there are with the feature.ListHistogrammer does this nicely:  _histo{0}.value = 1 _histo{0}.count = 2 _histo{1}.value = 2 _histo{1}.count = 2 _histo{2}.value = 3 _histo{2}.count = 1 _histo{3}.value = 5 _histo{3}.count = 1  My problem then is turning those into attributes simply. I don't want to have to explode or deconstruct my feature further (this workspace is already too large and slow).  In this example, I'd like my output feature to have attributes like these:  first_class = 2 other_thing = 2 third_item = 1 fourth_item = <missing> final = 1Any ideas how to do this? I could likely do it with a PythonCaller, but surely there's a better way?

I am trying to use HTTPCaller to generate a token which can be used in a REST API Service. The token can be generated manually from the web site: https://gisservices.information.qld.gov.au/ArcGIS/tokens/generateToken. I am putting the parameters for this into the 'Query String Parameters box'. I just need an example of how this is done using the HTTPCaller? I keep getting 'HTTP Method Not Allowed'

Hi All,I need to automate the process of cutting up an image file into approximately into 11,500 separate images.I have my image file. I have my grid shape file that contains attributes that I want to use as my output image file names.I can get image outputs using clipper that are exactly as I expect (correct dimensions etc) but cannot figure out how to name them correctly.I'm convinced that I'm missing something quite simple here.I have been searching through the knowledge center but can't find exactly what I'm looking for.Has anyone had experience with this? Hello FME's geeks !I am looking for writing outputs as shapefile to a path that is derived from the concatenation of an input parameters, a given string and a timestamp.In other words, the path should look like $(input_parameter1)/$(string)-$(TimeStamp)In my case,The input parameter is a folder given by user (Main_Input_Folder)The string is the basename of an input file given by the user without extention (eg : C:\inputFolder\myfile.shp => basename = myfile)For now, I am able to concatenate the input parameter and the Timestamp (creating a Python scripted private parameter for creating the string) giving something like  $(input_parameter1)/$(TimeStamp) and use it to the "Destination Esri Shapefile Folder" parameter : However, to add the basename, I created another Python scripted private parameter to extract the basename (used code below) but when I try to add it to the "Destination Esri Shapefile Folder" parameter I get this error : Undefined macro `AOI_basebame' dereferenced in fi

Hi all,I have the following scenario:A "master" workspace calling 3 other workspaces on FME Server 2017 using FMEServerJobsubmitter transformers.Followed by a FileCopy writer (in the same "master" workspace) copying the files on the FME Server (using the resources folders).This works perfectly (files are created and copied to the right location).But I want to run the "master" as a Data Download service.The ZIP file is created and a link is delivered. But the ZIP file remains empty.It does not seem to collect the output from the FileCopy writer.Am I missing anything (other than the option to re-read the data using a FeatureReader and writing using actual writers)?Thanks for any suggestions.

Calculation should be grouped/split by the attribute called "YEAR" within the point dataset. Save the area with the calculated values per YEAR, where an unique area should be created based on the attribute "YEAR".Until now my workspace looks like the following.The geometric calculation using the "PointOnAreaOverlayer" in combination with my TestAreaValues_2 is working properly (step 1). As a result of step 1 I get a list of all points within one area. Hi Folks,  Any hint on how to sort values in an attribute that has Null/empty/blank values? The Sorter doesn't have the option to move nulls to the last in the attribute. (or sometimes we need to move nulls at the beginning)..  Just to make it easier for the user not every time has to mouse scroll or sort the attribute to reach the values.  FME 2013 SP4 Output Format: File or SDE  geodatabase 

Hi All, I have been given some NOAA AVHRR files to read.... (High Resolution Picture Transmission (HRPT) 1KM Level 1B apparently) i can read them in this software called HRPT Reader. Has anyone come across reading anything like this in FME. The client wants Sea Surface Temp info out of the RASTER. I have tried in fme 2017 but nothing seems to work. I can supply the file (it has not extension) if anyone wants a look . FILEAny thoughts appreicated Thanks Steve

I am using the latest build of Fme desktop and I am trying to use an autocad block that has dynamic content in it and is not working. If I take the dynamic parts of it out it works just fine. Does anyone know if Fme supports Autocad dynamic blocks?
