Hi! I have been looking into the FBX reader/writer functionality in the 2017 version. All works as intended regarding the 3Dmodelling which is great! But i was hoping to add/read attribute data to/from this format.We use the Unreal engine to visualize and have the FBX format as our input to it.I read on the reader/writer page for FBX that it is not available in this versionSo, attribute data on the FBX format, is this something that is being looked into at the moment or is it beyond the horizon?We are mostly looking forward to the potential of writing the attribute data onto a FBX model.Thanks/David

I've got a table in sqlserver with an id column with unique identifier type and default value newsequentialid(). I need to reference these keys from another table so i need to exactly move this column as FK to another table but when i use SQLExecutor() with query 'select id from table' to write these attribute the order of GUID's get disruted and does not maintain its original order? Is it possible to maintain its order?

I have a parcel file I would like to spatial join to a zoning layer. The idea is to inherit the attribute of the zoning layer to all parcels that fall within a specific zone. I have been testing the SpatialRelator transformer buy I don't get any values in the newly created attributes. Any suggestions? Please be specific.

What I think have in inspector is list. But for some reason FME is thinking its not, because ListElementCounter is not finding it.Someone can explain why so? Its first time for me I have list"ish" features.pic from inspector.

Is there way in FME to give multiple output ports based on attribute values? For example:I have attribute called "TYPE", there is values like: line, point, polygon, text, info..... and so on.I would like to make all these values to different branch in workspace, because all those need different kind handling. I know I could write all down in testfilter, but there can be over 100 different values what I need to write then. Is there something like "import" for testfilter? In this case could be handy.Or could there be other way to seperate these values?

Hi,I try to calculate the difference between to dates. I need the result in Years. From the FME HUb I get the DateDifferenceCalculator. I runs good for difference in days or weeks. But how can I get the result in month or years?

I'm a GIS guy and new to MongoDB. I'm trying to use FME to read and analyze data in a Mongo database. The collection I'm trying to read has 10 million plus records so I'd like to be able to filter that down to a subset for testing. If this was an Oracle or ArcGIS reader I'd place a SQL whereclause on the reader to limit what FME starts with. On the MongoDB reader I don't see a whereclause option. I see a Collection Qualifer and a JSON query parameter on the Feature Type window, so is this where I would apply a MongoDB filter? I tried entering so MongoDB'ish find() code in this but it doesn't work, so maybe I'm entering it wrong.To simplify an example, here's what I'd like to do on my reader in SQL:select * from MyTable where MyStringField = 'MyClassification' And here's the Mongo translation of the same thing:db.MyTable.find({ "MyStringField": "MyClassification" });Now I'm left figuring out how to

I'm reading a couple of CSVs using the CSV2 Reader in FME 2017.0 then passing the data through AttributeManager. When it gets there, this appears in the log file: 2017-04-20 14:07:14| 89.6| 1.3|WARN |AttributeManager(AttrSetFactory): Splitting feature table into features because this factory does not support feature tablesCan someone explain what this means? Is it something to do with CSV2?

Is it possible in FME Server 2016 or 2017 to upload Linked custom Transformers to one particular Workspace Repository (for instance called "Common linked Custom transformers") and have several workspaces in different workspace repositories use this - so you only need to upload the Linked Custom Transformers one place, and all workspaces that uses this will get updated? Instead of having to upload every fmx file to all workspace repositories that uses these for each change?Sorry for the long explanation, I hope it is clear enough!

I'm trying to develop a workbench that will only return records from Excel spreadsheets that are within 90 days from the current date when I run the workbench. I'd like to not have to enter the current date every time I run the workbench. Is there an expression I can use or a transformer to perform this.Any help is greatly appreciated. New to FME. I roughly know the first half, i.e. extract data to csv file is simple. But how to get the csv writer to trigger the next step of the workflow to upload it to s3 bucket? The writer has no output. Thanks!

Good day!The result of my WB is PDF map which should be sent as attached file. But I met the problem. File has been damaged. The size of file is less than original. It looks like FME-server had no time to attach the full file.Have you any ideas about fixing this problem?

HiI have an FME process that uses as its inputs a GDB file and its associated XML schema file. I want to generate the XML from the GDB at runtime, and I have a python startup script to do this in ESRI - this works. My issue is with populating the parameter for the XML reader to set the location (for the generated file). I have the sea as polygons in an esri shapefile. But now I need to invert this - I need to make polygons of everything that is not sea. How do I do this? I have tried searching for FME help on "inverting polygons" and other related, but no luck, there must be such an transformer though... :) ?Thanks,Ben

Hi,In workspace_01 I have a WorkspaceRunner transformer that runs workspace_02 that uses a SQLExecuter transformer. The SQLExecuter utilizes a parameter to receive the Named Connection required (e.g., gisdata_01@SDEDB or gisdata_02@SDEDB, etc..) that's working great.However, the issue happened within the workspace_01 with the WorkspaceRunner, unless I select from the available named connection to assign, the workspace_02 won't work successfully; i.e. assign by 'Attribute Value' or 'User Parameter' from the sub menu.A closer look into the log window revealed how the parameter was interpreted/passed to the workspcase_02 as:--SDE_NAMED_CONNECTION {\\<at>Value<openparen>_Named_Connection<closeparen>}While it should be:--SDE_NAMED_CONNECTION' `gisdata_02@<at>SDEDB' `#FME 2016.1Please help

Hello!I have two features set that i want to check if they have the same geometry. I am using a tester to do that check. My question is: how can i make the workspace halt if the tester fail? Is some sort of transformer or parameter that stop the running workspace if a tester fail?Thanks for your help!

Hello All,I am trying to aggregate values of rows if specific column values match with another row in the same column. I also want to add that value in that cell which has a higher value. for an example; In the provided screenshot Pararun 111 &112 have duplicated values. They exist in row 8, 9, 25 and 27. I want to sum up Pararun 111 values in row 8 and 112 in row 27 because row 8 and row 27 have bigger value than row 9 and 25.

I have a change-detection workflow that triggers another workflow whenever input feature(s) changes. I need to fine-tune this process even more. Say for example, if the input feature(s) has 1000 attributes, the attributes relevant to me are only 100. I need the change-detection workflow to trigger only if any of those 100 attribute value changes. Is there a way to only get a list of attributes that are actually used inside the workflow?

If I install with Express Install, everything works. However, I am trying to install with a separate system database and I'm seeing that the Web User Interface is missing a lot of pages and rendering incomplete in others.In the past, with the same type of installation, I have had problems with being able to publish to FME Server and register with services.

I'm working on a dataset that contains piano like clusters of lines that i want to merge into a single polygon per cluster.Example from the source in autocad:The end result will look the same but than it should be a polygon containing 3 features in stead of lines. So the line width contains information for making the polygon. But how do i group them together after or before i change them? Is there an (easy) way to group them with a certain buffer or would the neighbor finder be easier?
