Where can I download the data files for the "Getting Started Exercises"

Best answer by LizAtSafe

Hi @datapiat, For the Getting Started Exercises that are contained within FME Workbench, the data is hosted on a server which is accessed by a URL within each exercise. You can download this data by entering the URLs into a web browser and the file should download automatically. If you are doing the exercise you can just paste the link into the reader, there is no need to download the data.

Here are the URLs for quick access:

Add Excel Data to a Map: http://demos.fmeserver.com/getting-started/VancouverStreets.dwg

Convert CAD to GIS: http://demos.fmeserver.com/getting-started/VancouverStreets.dwg

Transform a JSON Feed: http://fme.ly/tweetme (2016+) http://fme.ly/Email (2018) (Both link to the same data, just the exercise changed)

The sample data for the "Getting Started Exercises" should have been saved into "My Documents\\FME\\Sample Data" folder at the same time when you installed FME Desktop to your machine.
