When I create an "ArcGIS Server Feature Service" Reader, set its parameters (Authentification Type: Basic) and load the layer list, I get the Python Exception "Failed to retrieve feature types. Python Exception <ValueError>: No JSON object could be decoded".I have this problem on a computer set up from scratch recently (Windows 10 build 1709) with FME 2017 (x86, build 17725). I tried different "Preferred Python Interpreter" settings in the FME options (Esri ArcGIS Desktop Python (2.7), FME Python 2.7, FME Python 3.4+) but got the same error. I also tried it on another computer with FME 2016 (x64, 16716), FME 2017 (x86, 17725) and FME 2017 (x64, 17725) and got the same result.Is this a known bug in FME? Is there any workaround? Greetings,AndréThe log is:Creating reader for format: Esri ArcGIS Server Feature ServiceTrying to find a PYTHON plugin for reader named `ARCGISFEATURES'Loaded Python module `arcgisonlinefeatures' from file `C:\Program Files (x86)\FME_2017_17725\plugins/pyth

Hi,I am picking up some JSON from a feature reader and outputting to Excel. It works fine but I would like to order the Excel output so that some header fields are always returned first, e,g, ID, Name, CountryThe trouble is that this JSON is dynamic and sometimes doesnt include the attribute 'Country' if it hasn't been populated. This means when the JSON gets brought in and the first record doesnt contain country then it would look structure like so:ID, NAME, FieldA, CountryIs there any way I can partially define the schema whilst leaving the rest dynamic?Thank youOliver

I have a point (base) and a list of lines (candidates). a nearest line is found using NeighborFinder. it seems that the result from "matched" port does not have geometry of matched lines (the candidates). Any suggestions?

I have the following data; a road network for a city, a number for routes through the city and a point file for each junction where a manoeuvre is required. What I want to identify are the start and end road segments for each manoeuvre along the routes and in the direction the route is.For example, if the route makes a "right turn" I want to identify the road element before the turn and the road element after the turn is made. This order should be in the digitisation direction of the route. I then want to use the information to tag the road elements as "from" and "to" and grouped by the junction ID.At the moment I have been able to select the road elements that make up the manoeuvre but I am struggling to sort them into the correct order of sequence (i.e. in the direction of the route). Any ideas on how I can achieve my desired results?

Hello, i use and like the new ExcelStyler Transformer. Is it possible to define the cell size/wide? When I generate a table all cells have the same size an it looks like this, cause the text seems to be cut:I dont want that the text fit in the cell but that the cell grows with the text. initially i used oracle connection string (username/passwprd@service_name) inside my shutdown python script. Now i created a named connection inside tools -> fme options -> Database connections.Now how can i pass the credential to my python prg?pls help.

I know a way in arcmap using toolbox Conversion Tool under that i am using "feature class to geodatabase" to remove those values by unchecking the m and z values. But, for larger data set, arc map is crashing. Is their any transformer in FME, where we can remove those values in shape files?

Is there a way to set different Z values for each vertex of a line/polygon from a list, like the MeasureSetter in Whole Line/Area mode?  The 3DForcer sets all the vertices to a single elevation, and the VertexCreator replace point at vertex i only does one vertex at a time.

Hello.I'm using the FeatureWriter to create GDB Feature Classes, which will extend into ArcSDE Feature Classes soon. I can't seem to find any details on the Table Parameter options of this transformer in the documentation, however.Under Table>General, there are Feature Operation and Table Handling options. Currently, the options selected in my translations are:Feature Operation: InsertTable Handling: Create if neededand currently the features are added to my target Feature Class every time the translation is run. Which is not particularly my preference right now, but will be in the future. When attempting to use the other options, I receive ArcObjects-related errors and can't completely overwrite the Feature Class. During translation testing it would be ideal to completely overwrite all features every time it is run until which time the translation is completely set up (i.e. delete and reload). If updating the Feature Classes is not possible, it would also be of benefit

Hey,I am fairly new to FME and I was recently using the MongoDB reader to read some data from Mongo, transform the data and write the same structure back to Mongo using the MongoDB writer, I get however a strange output while doing that. The input structure looked something like that: "test" : [{"type" : "my_test"}], but when writing back to Mongo the output looks like that: "test" : ["{ \\"type\\" : \\"my_test\\" }"]. Helle we are looking to extract features based on created date, we created a published parameter ( syn_date) and in the reader where clause we use this expression ( CREATED_DATE>date'2015-02-09 13:00:00') and it's working now when we use the publish parameter to specify the date we used this expression CREATED_DATE>date$(Sync_date) this is not working we inspect the syn_date attribute the value show this ( 20180120000000)and in the publish parameter its shows the right format Any idea how to fix this Thanks GeoDB readerinspectPublished param

I have a workflow where I am trying to write out a MapInfo file dynamically. When using a normal Writer the file writes out correctly as per the schema I have told the writer to reference. The attributes are written out in the order as prescribed in the schema. Within the Writer, in the "User Attributes" tab the Dynamic option is selected and there are no attributes listed here (as they are supplied from the schema of the Workspace Resource I have added). This works and makes sense:However, I would like to use a FeatureWriter instead of the standard Writer as I need the translation to continue on, as I use the Emailer to confirm that the workspace has completed successfully. In the FeatureWriter I have the same options as I would use in the Writer selected, and the FeatureWriter is referencing the same Schema Source::In the "User Attributes" tab the Dynamic option is selected but the Attributes still appear and the attributes write out in the order they go into

Hello all,I have a large number of points (over 15,000) in the same geographical (x,y) location that I need to filter out. I cannot do this spatially and there is no coordinate data in the points. There is only one attribute within the data I can use to filter on (Address).I have a spreadsheet that has a "Town" column that has over 3500 rows.Is there anyway of bulk testing the Address attribute against the Town column from the spreadsheet to filter down the data? I don't want to copy and paste 3500 Town names into a Tester if I can avoid it!Thanks,Jeff.

Hi,I have a workspace that reads some data and after some processing it writes the data via feature writer inside an postgis database. Afterwards more sql scripts are triggerd via sql executors. At the end all data is read again for final writing via FME.The problem is that the time increases exponentially when the processed data becomes larger (taking a few hours to a few days).In the processing part I can split my data into smaller parts and write this data in multiple schema's in postgis. The problem is that I can't run the next sql scripts in parallel on the X amount created schema's. If I trigger every script x times, this triggering is done sequentially and timing remains the same.If I try to put the longest script into a separate workspace runner, I can only run this WSR in parallel when I say that it should not wait for completed job, but then I have an issue with the latest step (= combining all data from X schema's into 1) as the table is not yet existing (or

Hello, I have a problem with the calcul of a sum (expression evaluator, statistic calculator..). The result is not correct. I make this calcul : 10000+10000+1+100+0.1+0.01 and the result is 20101.109999999997 . I have this problem in fme 2018 and 2017 but in 2015 the result is correct . Hi,We have been using FME to write updates to our hosted feature layers on AGOL for some time. Lately the process has been failing with this error message: "ArcGIS Online Feature Service Writer: 'updateResults' error for a feature in 'Schedule of Native Title Determination Applications'. The error code from the server was '1000' and the message was: '24301: Expected a call to BeginGeometry(Polygon) or EndGeometry, but BeginFigure was called." Has anyone seen this, have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks
