Hello,I am attempting to modify the "" to fit our workflow. I've got it almost working, except there seems to be a scaling issue. The primary change is that we use DGN more than DWG. The buildings, ortho and terrain are shown, but the buildings seem to be scaled differently than the orthophoto. When I output a collada file, the buildings sit where they are supposed to over the ortho. I also have a geometry issue, so I had to pipe the "rejected" output to the PDF, which worked fine, except for the scaling issue. Below is a link to the test data. I just upgraded form Oracle 2017.1 to Oracle 2018 and now I'm having issues with Oracle database connections.I get this 'ORA-12638: Credential retrieval failed' error which is solved by changing SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS) to SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE) in /oracle home/network/admin/sqlnet.ora.The thing is that after applying that solution when I execute my workspace there's this Warning line in the log:Unable to determine version of Oracle database. (serverType=`ORACLE8I', serverName=`myServerName', userName=`myUserNAme', password=`***', dbname=`').It's confusing because warnings are important in our workflow.Is there anything I can do to make FME know our database version?

I am trying to convert MS SQL server database to Oracle and all of the table and columns are lowercase and being converted with double quotes around them. Is there a way in FME to prevent this?

I'm reading an ArcSDE polygon layer (British National Grid), running it through the Aggregator, then writing to a TDE. But I get a warning in the log "TDE does not support geometry on feature". I can't see much in the way of parameters to change to try and fix this. Any ideas? FME 2018.0.1.0 (20180518 - Build 18310 - WIN64)

Does the FME preserve network flow direction when reading and writing features that are part of a geometric network?   I'm trying to setup a workbench to push updates from one SDE to another.  The feature classes I'm trying to update are part of a geometric network and the flow direction that has been setup in the source database is something I want to be available in the destination database.  Unfortunatley, during my test the flow direction I set in the source data did not come over to the destination data.  Instead the line had indeterminant flow.  I'm using ArcSDE Geodatabase  readers and writers, and the feature type is setup as complex_edge and simple_junction(same as what is defined in my SDE).  Is there something I'm forgetting to configure?  Here's how I setup a simple test:  -Create a feature dataset in SDE -Create a line feature class and a point feature class in that SDE -Create a geometric network in the dataset that includes the point and line layers.

Hello,I need to merge attributes of polygon to polyline that contains that polyline (polygon can contain whole polyline or just one part of it) I am using SpatialRelator with test Requestor contains Supplier as shown in image below.Problem i have is that this test merges attributes from polygons that only contains start point of polyline. Is there any other way to merge these two features? In case that polyline goes over more than one polygon it's enough to merge attributes from any of containing polygons. Blue line is polyline. With SpatialRelator polyline gets attributes of polygon 2353 but it needs to get attributes of polygon 28 or 30.

I am having an issue getting attributes from a custom transformer output exposed in the main workspace.The output in question was added after the custom transformer was created, but appears to me to be all in order. The Population_Base output exposes it's attributes correctly while the Meshblock_Base output doesn't. Here is an image of the Meshblock_Base properties.And finally what it looks like on the Main workspace.I can't figure out why these 2 attributes are not being exposed.Am I missing something obvious, or is there something fishy going on?I am using FME 2018.0 32 bit.

I am using FME 2017 and would like to carry out a relatively simple geoprocessing task. I have DEM TIF tiles and DOM TIF tiles in 2 different directories which both have the same names and the same extents. I would like to subtract the DEM from the DOM for each tile and save the new tile in a 3rd directory named "NORMALIZED".So my process is simply the following:1. Iterate through Directory "DOM" and for each filename find and subtract the same file in directory "DEM". 2. Save the result in Directory "NORMALIZED" How would I achieve this?

I've been trying to create isochrones from a grid of points (shp, 1000m apart) that have the total journey times already associated with them (number format). I tried a 3D forcer and contourgenerator, but I just can't get it to work. I've popped a screenshot below. I'd be most grateful for some tips.Thanks!Renee

FME 2018.0.1.0 64-bit (18310).I'm using FeatureJoiner to merge data coming from several ArcSDE layers (left) and 2 layers from 2 different File Geodatabases (right). ALL the source layers are British National Grid (27700), but the coordinate system parameter in the Readers was <not set>. The translation failed at the FeatureJoiner with the message "Rejecting input feature(s) with coordinate system 'OSGB-GPS-2015' that do not match the first feature coordinate system '_OSGB-GPS-2015_0'".If I set the coordinate system to "OSGB-GPS-2015" on all the Readers, the translation works with this warning: "NOT changing coordinate system of reader identified by keyword `GEODATABASE_SDE_1' from `OSGB-GPS-2015' to `_OSGB-GPS-2015_0' -- mapping file setting of `OSGB-GPS-2015' overrides coordinate system `_OSGB-GPS-2015_0' read from file"Is there any real difference in OSGB-GPS-2015 and _OSGB-GPS-2015_0? I get a Point Cloud from Multicopter Surveying (Photogrammetry), stored in E57 File. This Point Cloud should be clipped to an Area of Interest, stored in Revit Model. So I exported the Model with the Revit Exporter to '*.rvz' and IFC4. I read the Geometry from IfcBeam. After this I create the Hull of the Geometry (2D) and send it to the Clipper. When I inspect the geometry with the FME Inspector it looks correct. After the clip-operation the point cloud is cutted wrong on to the lower right corner.I tested also the geometry extraction with SurfaceReplacer in combination with 2D Forcer, same problem... To test the correct position of the two parts I inspect it.Workspace looks like this (rotater and offsetter beacuse there is a bad georeference):Should I use other transformers for the Point Cloud clip-operation? Any ideas?Thank you!

Hi,I've added a new Excel-writer (it happened also with the existing one). Now I choose the Excel-writer on the Feature type-Parameters-Panel and FME breaks down.???Is this bug already fixed in a newer Version of FME2017? I can't use FME 2018, because we work with FMEServer 2017.Thanks, Frauke

Good morning,I was wondering what the best practice is for transferring attributes, not geometry, from one feature to another? For instance, I want the ID number from one feature to be placed in another feature, to show correlation, but keep the original geometry.Thank you!David

Hi all,I am having a problem when using the data inspector..Often when scrolling through results data will just 'drop out' - never to reappear/refresh.I have to manuall hit the refresh button an often this will not rectify 'lost area'.Please see attached image.Note the rows are blank yet when you look at the window on the right side of the screen you can see the data values actually exist in the table.Thanks for viewing my question.Any ideas on where to trouble shoot this issue would be much appreciated.ThanksLenny in Australia

Hey!I have created a workspace that downloads a zip file containing a shp everytime the data has been updated. I now want to compare the shp in the zip file with the older shp on a ArcSDE database to see if a column has been added or removed. I have tried using a FeatureReader to read the shp in the zip but I don't know how to do the comparising step. The goal is to get notified via the Emailer when the tables has been changed(not indivudal values). What is the best method?

Wonder if there is a direct way to use a reader or feature reader to read a zipped up fgdb stored on google drive. One options is to use google drive connector to download the fgdb to the local drive. Thanks!

Hello FMEers,  I have been asked to present to a group of Information Management Specialists on the safe software suite of products. In particular they are interested in how FME compares with the SSIS. SSIS is another ETL tool used within the Microsoft SQL Server environment. Having never used SSIS this is a tall order as my default for any ETL processing has been FME. Is there anybody out there that can give me a few advantages and disadvantages of FME compared to other ETL tools in particular SSIS. Any sort of information will help. I have set of polygons which is county boundaries. And i need to dissolve three nearest neighbors / adjacent polygons into one. and this has to continue till loop ends. But there is no any relationship attribute to group three polygons. in the attached , I manually selected three adjacent boundaries for the methodology how it should workHow can we achieve this using fme?

Hi!recently a FMEServer managed by us stopped working after an automatic security check. The service was not able to start anymore, and I got the windows-error-popup with the message: "Windows could not start the FME Server Core service on HOST. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."The problem was the registry-key for starting the services: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/services/FME Server Core where the value with the image path was notin quotes: C:\Program Files (x86)\fmeserver\Server\WindowsService\FMEProcessMonitorCore.exe -s FME Server Core As unquoted service paths can be a risk in Windows, the radarservice automatically set the path in quotes, as there were blanks in theinstallation path (...\Program Files (x86)\...). But it set the whole expression in quotes, including the "-s". "C:\Program Files (x86)\fmeserver\Server\WindowsService\FMEProcessMonitorCore.exe –s" So because of that, the service could not be started as it was looking fort hefile "C:\
