My 1st time to use web socket data stream service. I use WebSocketReceiver to connect to a wss service. After using a JSONExtractor toextract the needed key/value pairs, I can write the data into an Oracle non-spatial table. The data has latitude/longitude, so I add a VertexCreator to create a point. But as I connect the VertexCreator to an Oracle SDE or File Geodatabase feature class, and run the workspace, the streaming goes on, but nothing happens in the writer, the feature class in SDE or File GeoDB is not created. No errors. I am pretty sure the lat/long values are valid. Any clues?

I have created a sample table below of a much larger dataset.I want to be able to group each ID and then be able to compare the New and Old Values to see if they are the same, in some cases the order is wrong, or there is a semi colon and space or there are duplicates. How do I clean all this out, so that I can make a more accurate comparison of the two columns?

Is there a way to specify nvarchar(max) as datatype for a field using the MSSQL_ADO writer? ntext is deprecated so I can't use it anymore.

Hi, I read images from a directory and save them in SQL Server as <image>.I use the AttributeFileReader to create a binary representation of the image which then just gets written into the database (works fine).I also need to create a thumbnail for each image and save it as blob as well. And here my problem starts - I don't know which transformers I need to use:My process looks like that:AttributeFileReader -->RasterReplacer (I need to create an image)-->RasterResampler (I create a thumbnail)-->RasterExtractor (I create binary representation of the image)the result gets written as <image> into a SQL DB table.But when I extract the image from SQL Server (with an different application than FME) the thumbnail is no valid image file (whereas the main image is).For simplicity I uses JPG files only right now.Any idea what might be wrong with my choice of transformers or their order? Many thanks, Rob

I have a Feature Writer configured to write a csv to a parameterised path. In FME Server, this is configured as a Resource Path. This works OK and writes to: \\FMEServer\\resources\\data\\file.csvA subsequent (text) Feature Reader uses the same parameterised path (with the filename). Unfortunately this appears to read from \\FMEServer\\repositories\\repository\\workspace/file.csvRefer attached - have I configured this incorrectly or is this not supported? This is for: FME Server 2016.1.0.1 - Build 1649  

When trying to merge different WMS layers together to reduce a PDF file size i'm loosing too much image quality. An alternative option that i build is to just add them as extra layers but the file size is sometimes too big for normal use. So my question is: How can i improve my image quality?The ideal option is to get the same quality as you would normally see when all rasters are send to the the data inspector. Like this:But with with nearest neighbour it looks like this:If i use bi-linear it looks a bit better:and bi-cubic looks even better:But it still loses a lot of detail and line quality in the parts that the lines are semitransparent. Is there a option for merging this the same way as the result shown in the data inspector (see the first image) without all the abundance of data that you cannot see? Hello everybody,  I try to solve problem withACAD block. I just wanna add attribute definition into block. This block has not any attribute definition, so it is completely without user attributes. If block definition has one or more attribute defition, there is not problem to add new one via FME. But in case of block without attribute, I cant solve, how to add attribute definition.Could anybody help me please?Thank You so much!Lubo

Hello,I would like to run simple maintenance arcpy scripts on feature classes after a load. Without reading those feature classes. Example of scripts: attribute index, spatial index, extent calculation: arcpy.AddIndex_management(in_table="C:/Users/xxx/Documents/ArcGIS/Default.gdb/tablename", fields="Name", index_name="name_1", unique="NON_UNIQUE", ascending="NON_ASCENDING")arcpy.RecalculateFeatureClassExtent_management(in_features="C:/Users/xxx/Documents/ArcGIS/Default.gdb/tablename") For both file geodatabase feature classes and Enterprise Geodatabase. How do I achieve this with either a shutdown python script or PythonCaller / Creator? Thanks

Hello,I have a .cal file saved in python to create a unique identifier. How can I use this in FME? I didn't create this so I don't know how to tie this to the field needed. Hello,What is the trick to create a polygon from a set of coordinates and make sure FME read the points in the order to create the required polygon where _result field can be used as ID and acknowledge the order in which polygon should be created ? I went thru a bunch of transformers, but I did not succeed with any... I went thru several articles from the knowledge center as well, but cannot figure it out. Hello,I am trying to run an FMW file using a batch script and although I can run the batch file manually and it will run successfully without any hiccups and in very little time (2-3 mins) when I try running the same batch script as a Scheduled Task it takes way too much time to run (I haven't even let it finish as it was running for over half an hour) and doesn't look to run the same way (their log files differ).I would love some help to get this working properly. I know FME Server does this much easier but our office doesn't have the resources (or business requirements) to purchase Server and so I'm stuck trying to make this work with a Scheduled Task. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hi,I need to merge 2 CSV files based on a number range. In the first file, I have a ZIP Code with the ZIP+4 number (2 separate attributes). In the second file I have a ZIP Code with a ZIP+4 range (Beginning +4 and Ending +4 -- 3 separate attributes). I need to merge the files based on the ZIP+4 number and create a new CSV file with all the info from the first file with an attribute from the second file appended.For instance, the first file may have ZIP Code 12345 with a ZIP+4 of 1000. The second file may have ZIP Code 12345 with a range of 0500-1500 and these should match.

Hello,Screen shot attached is an answer from HERE API. What I do not get is : why I only see the first 3 attributes in the TableView window within the Inspector ? If I can understand a little more on that one, that would be helpful to then process info from response.isoline{*}.component{*}.shape{*} (encoded: UTF-8) records especially.Thank you for your inputs, regards.

My features have an attribute _mapsheet. When I use the inspector I can see the _mapsheet attribute is populated when it comes out of the FeatureReaderBut then when I check the attribute after it has been through the RasterExtentsCoercer (which I have named RawRasterExtent in my workspace) the attribute is no longer populated.I had this workspace working in FME 2017. Is this a bug in 2018? Or is there something extra I need to do.TIA

I have been supplied a LAS files to extract features from. FME has been able to do a pretty good job at it and I have been able to extract the likes of Road Markings and Signs from the pointcloud. However, I am hoping that there may a few more idea of refining the process to get "nicer" features from the data.For the road marking, I really want a process that looks at the outer points and removes all the vertices in between. I can't seem to find a "generalization/smoothing" that does it nicely. (Thanks to @dmitribagh for the initial workspace)   For the signs, I have just have got to the point to of extracting from the LAS. So I need to create into a vertical surface/polygons. I have an idea to extract the full surface in much the same way as above, although to I believe for each sign, I will:- User Centrelinereplacer to extract the angle of the sign.- coordinateswapper, so that I am looking down on the sign face- Rotate the sign using angle to look at the full

I have to two geometry (Polyline), segment lengths are different and spatial aligned. I want to transfer the attribute of 2nd geometry to 1st geometry? Some attributes of the segment are calculated on the bases of length. I only need to transfer attribute which is overlaped by 1st geometry segment.

I am licensed for only one engine but a second engine is created automatically when I use FMEJobSubmitter. Is this normal? Does this count as using two licenses? If I run this job on a server that already has two engines will both licenses be in use? Thanks

Hi, I have a model in ARCGIS model builder that perfectly iterates through features. What i do: I grab a polygone from a dataset make buffer around and than clip over it 3 other shapes - I would like to do this for 30 polygones (each with uniq ID). In FME workspace i built a complex model with a tester transformer, but it it is too complex, because one of the shapes that overlays and have to be cliped has over 7.5 million of rows.Any solution? Thanks

Hello! I used Clipper to divide the lines with the areas. In some places as a result of "outside" I got lines consisting of two elements.How can I remove parts of lines that do not get red line? I used Chopper to separate the lines and then I wanted to filter the data through Spatial Filter (by "filter intersects candidate" where Filter is a red line) but it doesn't take into account Chopper's separation..Thanks for your help 

I have a problem with conversion of 4 bands GeoTiff into ECW. I'm quite new to this. For me seems that ECW can hold up to 65k bands, so I think this should be possible. The bands are RED8 GREEN8 BLUE8 UINT8 - if I write only RGB it works, as well it works then I only choose UINT8 band.How could I write all the bands to ECW file ? Any clues ? Hello! I need to get a sum of some features. Please have a look at the picture, it is maybe easier to understand what I need. I need to get a sum of these houses therea are in the different parts of city. The problem is that the name and amount of streets are allways different. I do not know how to automate it.. Any ideas?
