I am trying to leverage a Choice with Alias (multiple) User Parameter in a custom transformer. When I add the custom transformer to a new/blank workbench and connect it to an data input (CSV), all the attributes also show up for the user to choose from. Am I missing a setting/toggle somewhere? Parameter Setup: What's showing up when custom transformer is added to an empty/new workbench and connected to a CSV input: Why are these attributes from the input showing up in Choice parameter? Hi,Is there a more efficient way of loading a large CityGML dataset, approx. 15GB unzipped (http://www.3dcitydb.net/3dcitydb/fileadmin/mydata/Cesium_NYC_Demo/CityGML/NYC_Buildings_CityGML_20150907.zip) apart from using the standard reader.I was thinking of using this approach (experimental?) but tests using a smaller dataset did not yield any advantage compared to the standard reader.Thanks

Something I encountered recently: When I send multiple features into a FeatureReader, I only get one SchemaFeature. I expected one SchemaFeature per initiator feature.As I needed a SchemaFeature per Initiator, I merged them using a FeatureMerger after the FeatureReader. But I keep wondering if this is how it is supposed to work?Thanks!

When the FeatureReader outputs a SchemaFeature, the attribute handling differs from Features. For example, I use the Prefix Initiatior option a lot, but it does not work for SchemaFeatures.Is this how it should work? Thanks.

Some of my workspaces contain multiple checks before any data is processed and are hooked up to some Terminator transformers. Is there a way to show the custom error message, that is included in the Terminator, in the web gui instead of the default translation failed message?  Although the terminator message is in the log file, I would prefer the message be shown to the end user instead of having to access the log file.  FME Server 2018.1

Hi,I know that FME has WebMapTiler as one of transformer utilities and it's good for creating image tiles in 2d web map applications.However, as 3d web gis is evolving and as there is more possibilities to build nice 3d web gis applications using libraries like CesiumJS and similair, i wonder if there is any plan in near future to enable tiling of 3d datasets using FME. For example, that you have 3d mesh and you want to create quantized-mesh tiles using some FME Transformer ?  I know it's probably not so easy to implement at the moment but I would like to know if it's something that is on TODO list or not?  Thank you and kind regardsIvan

I'm looking at 2019 beta. Is there a way that an S3 block can be seamless when writing to a ESRI file geodatabase, or are multiple steps involved that require creating the FGDB and then zipping it up for transfer. I'm not seeing a way using the S3 connector. Obviously I would rather the most seamless and simplest method...more like a virtual file/folder location parameter using the saved web connection and credentials.

I am hoping someone can point out if FME has a "Save a Copy" feature for manually saving a back up copy of a workbench. I searched here in the community and elsewhere and found references to backup functions for FME Server Workspaces, but nothing specific to the desktop workbench. Perhaps this function is called something else in FME speak so here's a description of my workflow:When developing a workbench I periodically save a back-up, currently when I do this I go File > "Save As" and save the file with a sequential suffix like [filename]_ii.fmw then a while later I'll save another copy as [filename]_iii.fmw and later [filename]_iiii.fmw. Sometimes I'll tag a date on the end. As the project nears completion and its down to the final tweaks I find that I'm working out of a "master" .fmw that is simply [filename].fmw and when I save a back up I use "Save As", add the sequential suffix, then do "Save As" again and s

Hello again.I was planning on setting up a sequence of translations to run where each successive translation is run by a WorkspaceRunner transformer in the previous.The problem with this is that placing a WorkspaceRunner at the end of a translation makes it dependent on the translation succeeding, and my chain of many translations could be jeopardized by something out of my control, such as a "403 Forbidden" error in an HTTPCaller.My questions are:A) Can I run a .bat file as a Shutdown Python Script without the translation where that script resides remaining running? Dear FME'ersI have a SpatiaLite file, which I can read with the SpatialLite reader in Workbench. However, there is one non-geometrical table, which does not pop up in the Feature Classes.So, I thought, I read this table with the 'SQLite Non-Spatial' Format. Hi, is it possible to change the filename in a dynamic writer? I'm trying to add a suffix to the original file name but as soon as I do any changes to the value stored in fme_feature_type the workbench fails. Is it even possible to change the filename in a schema?  

Hello ! I am joining some data with information included in distinct CSV files. For this joining, I use the DatabaseJoiner. As it is quite big CSV files (> 7M entries), the index creation takes some times before actually making the join. However, as the input data are big also, I am processing the joins by tiles, but it means that for each tiles, the DatabaseJoiner is creating its own index again before joining and so on... Is it a parameter or something else to write somewhere this created index so that it only have to read it again to use on the other tiles ?  Many thanks ! Nicolas

Hi I am using FME 2018.1 desktop and server and trying to publish a workspace.Today, this comes up with User is not AuthorisedThe specified user credentials were not authorized to perform this action. Ensure with your server administrator that your user credentials are authorized to perform this action. I can login with same credentials to FME Server web user interface. Also I have been able to publish to FME server before today. I am using the admin credentials to publish (which has fmeadmin, fmesuperuser access)Any suggestion what could have changed and how to investigate this issue?
